September 8, 2025

Complainant met with a Deputy in regard to a fraud case.

Deputy responded to CR E on a juvenile matter.

Deputy issued a Criminal Trespass Notice in the 5600 block of US 290 East.

Deputy assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock.

Deputy conducted a welfare check on an individual on US 77 South.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on US 290 East. After a probable cause search, an individual was arrested on site and booked into the Lee County Jail for Possession of Controlled Substance.

Deputy responded to a minor crash on FM 1624.

 

September 9, 2025

Deputies assisted with a funeral escort in Dime Box.

Deputy checked on a stranded motorist in the 2100 block of Texas 21 West.

 

September 10, 2025

Deputy assisted a stranded motorist in the 3400 block of US 290 West.

Chief Deputy met with a complainant in regard to Criminal Trespass on property off of FM 3403.

Sheriff, Deputies, Troopers, and GPD assisted with lockdown drills at Giddings ISD.

Deputies assisted with a funeral escort in Giddings.

Deputy investigated a report of animal cruelty at property off of FM 180.

Deputies responded to two false commercial burglar alarms.

Deputy checked on a reported suspicious person on CR 454. The individual was a stranded motorist that was awaiting a wrecker.

Deputy responded to Lee County Jail to assist another agency with a breathalyzer.

 

September 11, 2025

Caller reported suspicious persons walking near US 290 West. Deputy responded to patrol the area, however the persons were gone upon arrival.

Deputy responded to investigate a report of animal cruelty on CR 307.

Complainant met with a Deputy to file a report of a terroristic threat.

Complainant met with a Deputy to file a report of a stolen horse.

Deputy completed warrant service on an individual that surrendered at the sheriff's office on a local warrant.

 

September 12, 2025

Deputy assisted a motorist with a vehicle unlock.

Deputy met with a complaint to investigate a fraud report.

Caller reported a male subject laying in the ditch off of CR 205. Deputy responded and located the individual.

Sheriff and Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a residence on CR 139. Two male subjects were located and one was transported to the Lee County Jail. Peace restored.

Deputy responded to a crisis intervention call on FM 180.

Deputy issued a citation to a motorist for failing to slow down/move over for the DPS Trooper that was assisting a stranded motorist at US 290 West/CR 202.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on US 290 East. The driver was arrested for DWI and booked into the Lee County Jail.

 

September 13, 2025

Deputies responded to assist at the scene of a crash in the 4400 block of Texas 21 East.

Deputy responded to a crash on US 77 South near the Fayette County line.

Deputy made a security check on a suspicious vehicle parked in the 4200 block of Texas 21 East. No criminal activity located.

Deputies responded to a juvenile matter on Avenue B.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on US 77 North. One male was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail for Possession of Marihuana.

 

September 14, 2025

Deputies responded to an address on CR 203 in regard to a juvenile matter.

Deputies responded to an assault on Westwood Lane. The irate suspect was arrested after assaulting a Deputy and causing damage to the interior of a county vehicle. The suspect was booked into the Lee County Jail, where he continued to damage county property. A prize of a single isolation cell was awarded along with several charges.

Deputies assisted with a major fatality crash scene on US 290 West.

A female came to the sheriff's office to bond a friend out of Jail. The good friend was found to have a local warrant, and was subsequently booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy responded to a crisis intervention call on CR 345.

Deputy took a report of a dog bite on Simpson St.

Deputy responded to a crisis intervention call on Sherrill Lane.

Deputy responded to criminal mischief report on CR 305 where a stop sign was damaged. Precinct 3 was notified.

 

For this reporting period, Lee County Deputies initiated 137 traffic enforcement stops, made 21 security checks, and responded to 30 animal/loose livestock calls.
