Summary: This position requires thorough working knowledge of law enforcement procedures. The individual has daily contact with the public and is responsible for the preparation of reports. Responds to delegation of duties from the Captain or Sergeant.
Eligibility: A high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a Peace Officers Certification through TCOLE. Must be able to meet TCOLE, and office requirements for psychological and medical examinations. Valid driver's license with good driving record. The individual should possess a thorough knowledge of enforcement procedures and practices.
Salary Range: Up to $56,410 a year.
FULL TIME CORRECTIONAL OFFICER / JAILER
Summary: The Corrections Officer is primarily responsible for supervision on inmates within his/her assigned area, He/She will maintain order and security through fair and impartial application of Lee County Jail Policies and Procedures. He/She will maintain the highest level of security possible while ensuring safe and humane treatment of all inmates including the protection of their rights within the correctional setting. Reports to the Jail Administrator or Jail Lieutenant.
Eligibility: High School diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years of age or older; Jailer Certifications from Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) or the ability to successfully complete a Certification course within 12 months of hire
Salary Range: $16 - $19.79 per hour. Pay will be determined by experience.
Summary: Prepares meals for persons incarcerated in the Lee County Jail, in accordance with LCSO policies and procedures and Jail Standards. This position is responsible for the supervision and management of inmates in the custody of the Lee County Sheriff. Reports to the Jail Administrator or Jail Lieutenant.

Salary Range: $16 - $19.59 per hour. Pay will be determined by experience.
