September 15, 2025

Deputy responded to the intersection of CR 305 and FM 696 for a stop sign that was ran over. The commissioner was notified.

Deputy removed debris from the roadway on Hwy 21 at FM 2440.

Caller reported a disturbance at a residence on FM 2440. Deputies made contact with subjects, who advised everything was fine.

Dispatch received a call about a reckless driver on CR 226. Deputy located vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Deputy met with a commissioner about illegal dumping on CR 133.

 

September 16, 2025

Complainant stated someone stole a package from her mailbox on Westwood Lane. Deputy spoke with complainant, and it was determined that the package could have possibly been delivered to the wrong address.

Deputy met with a complainant at the Sheriff's Office in reference to criminal mischief of CR 120.

Dispatch received a call about a suspicious person in the 500 block of Giddings Street in Lexington. Deputy checked the area but was unable to locate the male subject.

 

September 17, 2025

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on CR 208. Deputy advised owner was on scene having the vehicle towed.

Deputy spoke to a complainant about a civil issue. Complainant was referred to another agency.

Deputies assisted Constable Stephens with a parade at the Lexington High School.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 77 South that turned on Hwy 290 traveling eastbound. Deputy located the vehicle and overserved no violations.

 

September 18, 2025

Deputy assisted a motorist on Hwy 77 in Tanglewood.

Caller stated they wanted to file theft charges for a person that was incarcerated. Deputy referred the caller to a judge since it was a civil matter.

Deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of Giddings Street for a noise complaint. Deputy stayed in the area for a while but did not hear any noise.

Motorist ran out of gas on FM 180 and was given a ride to Bubba's by a deputy.

Deputy checked out with a disabled vehicle on Hwy 21. Driver stated vehicle had a flat tire and was waiting on assistance.

Deputy conducted a welfare check on a subject on CR 133. Contact was made.

 

September 19, 2025

A welfare check was conducted on a subject on Willow Creek Drive. Contact was made.

Dispatch received a call about a reckless driver on Hwy 77 North. Sergeant and Deputy located the 18-wheeler and advised the load had shifted. The rig was escorted to a safe place.

Deputy met with a complainant at the Sheriff's Office about fraud. Information was taken for a report.

Resident on CR 430 reported mailboxes down the county road have been tampered with. Close patrol was placed for the area.

 

September 20, 2025

Deputy met with a subject at the Sheriff's Office in reference to a civil matter.

Caller reported a suspicious person walking along the side of Shady Oaks Street towards Hwy 290. Deputy located the subject and gave him a courtesy ride to a local store.

Sergeant conducted a 68-A trailer inspection.

Deputies assisted Giddings PD on North Burleson Street with a disturbance.

 

September 21, 2025

Dispatch received a call about a suspicious male subject walking in the roadway on Hwy 21 near CR 114. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the subject.

Sergeant and Deputy provide traffic control for a motorist on Hwy 290 East while a wrecker picked up their disabled vehicle.

Caller reported a reckless driver on Hwy 21 coming in from Burleson County. Deputy located the vehicle at CR 440, and followed to Bastrop County line. No violations were observed.

Giddings PD requested assistance for alarm call at Tractor Supply.

Deputy assisted Giddings PD on traffic stop in the 3500 block of East Austin Street.

 

For this reporting period, Lee County Deputies initiated 151 traffic enforcement stops, made 48 security checks, and responded to 26 animal/loose livestock calls.
