September 1, 2025
Deputy assisted a citizen in retrieving their animal that was killed by a passing vehicle on US 290 East.
Deputy completed a welfare check on SH 21 West.
Deputy took a report of harassment on FM 3403.
Caller reported a reckless driver on SH 21 West. Deputy located the vehicle and determined the motorist was having mechanical problems. The Deputy assisted in following the motorist home.
Deputy completed a welfare check on CR 440.
Complainant reported illegal dumping of trash on CR 428. Resident Deputy arrived and after a brief investigation, the suspect was identified. A citation was issued and the trash was to be cleaned up.
Deputy made a traffic stop at FM 141/Cushing in Dime Box. One male subject arrested on scene and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Deputy completed a welfare check on FM 141.
Deputies responded to an 18 wheeler that was stuck on the railroad tracks at CR 424/426. Train traffic was halted while the vehicle was removed. Citation issued to the driver.
Deputy completed a welfare check on SH 21 West.
September 2, 2025
Deputy responded to investigate a report of animal cruelty on CR 430. Report taken.
Sheriff and Deputies assisted a funeral escort in Giddings with GVFD.
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Westwood Lane. One male subject was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Deputy responded to a report of illegal dumping on CR 133. Report taken.
Deputy completed a welfare check on FM 2440.
Deputy responded to Dime Box for a juvenile matter. Three teens were reported to be driving an ATV and cursing at the complainant. Active investigation.
September 3, 2025
Deputy took a report of a single vehicle crash vs. hog on CR 327.
LCSO and Texas DPS executed a felony narcotics search warrant at a residence on Louis Lane. Two male suspects were arrested on site and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Deputy assisted Jail Staff with a violent inmate escort.
Deputy took a report of a single vehicle vs. deer crash on US 290 West/CR 205.
Sergeant responded to a reported suspicious vehicle parked off of CR 426. Sergeant determined the individual works for the sand truck company that is working that area.
Concerned caller reported a suspicious truck stopping at mailboxes along CR 217. Deputy located the vehicle and warned them against leaving cards in mailboxes.
Deputy made a traffic stop on CR 114. It was discovered that four youths were not secured in safety seats. Four citations were issued to the driver as they awaited the delivery of four car seats.
Deputy assisted Giddings Police with a theft investigation that occurred on E. Austin St.
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on E. Austin St. One male suspect was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 and was secured in the Lee County Jail.
Deputy responded to a crash on US 77 near FM 1624.
September 4, 2025
Deputy made a traffic stop on E. Austin St. The driver was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Deputy responded to a reported abandoned vehicle on FM 141 near CR 120. A rotation wrecker was summoned to the scene.
Deputies assisted Giddings Police with a disturbance on S. Waco St. involving a male subject with a knife.
Deputies assisted Giddings Police with a commercial burglar alarm in the 600 block of E. Austin St.
Deputy responded to a crash involving a single vehicle vs. hog on FM 3403.
Deputy responded to a minor crash on E. Austin St. involving two vehicles.
September 5, 2025
Deputy conducted traffic enforcement patrol on CR 211.
Deputy conducted traffic enforcement patrol on SFA Blvd. in Dime Box.
Deputy conducted traffic enforcement in the 8500 block of US Hwy 77 North.
Deputy responded to CR 125 on an animal cruelty complaint.
Complainant in the 4800 block of CR 309 met with a Deputy to report a theft from a mailbox. Report taken. Be on the lookout for suspicious persons/vehicles.
Deputies assisted with a funeral escort in Giddings.
Deputy and Lexington Police assisted with a funeral escort from Giddings into Lexington.
Sergeant assisted another agency for a follow-up investigation at a residence on CR 430. One male suspect was arrested on an outstanding Lee County warrant and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Sheriff and Deputy assisted Giddings Police with a report of two male subjects fleeing from a traffic stop on foot in the 400 block of N. Manse St. One male subject was arrested after approaching the scene and refusing to comply with lawful orders to stay back until the scene was safe. One arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail for Interference with Public Duties.
Deputies and Constable Pct. 2 assisted Giddings Police with a report of two male subjects arguing in the GHS parking lot.
Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the 3100 block of SH 21 near CR 113. After an investigation, the driver was medically cleared and booked into the Lee County Jail.
September 6, 2025
Deputies responded to assist Lexington Police with an individual resisting arrest on 7th St. One booked into the Lee County Jail.
Deputy responded to assist Giddings Police with a disturbance on W. Crockett St. The caller advised that the male suspect assaulted a female and fled on US Hwy 77 North. A responding Deputy crashed their patrol vehicle into a fence, with no injuries, and minor damages at 77/CR 114.
Deputies, Trooper, and Fire Dept. responded to a crash at US Hwy 77/CR 440.
Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on SH 21 East.
Caller reported a suspicious male subject in the 1000 block of CR 205. A Deputy located and made contact with the individual.
Complainant called in to report a theft of a camper from property off of CR 304. Report taken with additional follow-up.
Deputy responded to a reported verbal disturbance on Shady Oaks St.
September 7, 2025
Deputy made a traffic stop in the 500 block of Burns St. after midnight. Multiple underage youths were issued citations. Nothing good happens after midnight.
Deputy completed a warrant service at the Lee County Jail on an individual that came in to surrender.
Sergeant conducted 68-A inspections at the sheriff's office.
Complainant called in to speak with a Deputy for a reported child custody matter.
Deputy met with a complainant to take a harassment report.
Deputy and Trooper responded to an address on Yegua Dr. in regard to a male subject making threats.
Deputy took a report of a vehicle vs. hog crash in the 1300 block of FM 696.
Deputy made a traffic stop on US Hwy 290 West. Two male subjects were arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and were booked into the Lee County Jail.
For this reporting period, Lee County Deputies initiated 186 traffic enforcement stops, made 27 security checks, and responded to 28 animal/loose livestock calls.
