May 5, 2025

Deputies investigated a minor two vehicle crash on CR 326. Citation issued.

Caller reported illegal dumping on CR 409. Deputies responded and located a mattress on the county right-of-way. Commissioner was notified.

Deputies responded to a physical disturbance in the 5600 block of E. Austin St. The suspect had fled the scene prior to arrival. Another male subject was arrested for Criminal Trespass and booked into the Lee County Jail. Investigation continues on the assault suspect.

Deputy responded to a noise complaint on CR 306.

Deputy responded to a minor crash on Hwy 290 East at the County line.

Deputies responded to a crisis intervention call on CR 440. The individual in crisis was located and transported by EMS.

Deputy responded to an inquest on CR 325.

Deputy performed a vehicle unlock for a motorist in Giddings.

 

May 6, 2025

Investigators and Deputies conducted felony warrant service at a residence on CR 105. One male suspect was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail for Assault and Kidnapping.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on CR 326.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on Highway 77 South.

Deputy assisted a motorist with traffic control on Highway 77 during a tire change.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on CR 310.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on CR F.

 

May 7, 2025

Sergeant conducted 68-A inspections at the Sheriff's Office.

Deputy met with a complainant at the Sheriff's Office in regard to a reckless driver complaint.

Deputy met with a complainant at the Sheriff's Office in regard to an assault.

Deputies assisted with traffic control at a major crash on Highway 290 West.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on FM 112.

Deputy responded to CR 113 to investigate a dog bite.

Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.

 

May 8, 2025

Deputy conducted traffic control for a semi-truck blocking the roadway on FM 448.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on CR 109.

Deputy responded to a silent 911 call on Westwood Lane. Deputy located a child that had been playing on a cell phone.

Deputy assisted GPD with an arrest on Highway 290 West/CR 200.

 

May 9, 2025

Deputy was dispatched to 5600 block of Hwy 290 East for a vehicle unlock where a child was locked inside of the vehicle.

Deputy responded to a criminal mischief complaint on Westwood Lane. Deputy determined there to be bird feces (not paint) on the caller's vehicle.

Caller reported a fraud incident and an information report was taken.

Deputy conducted a civil standby at the apartment complex on Westwood Lane.

Deputy investigated a juvenile matter on Westwood Lane.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on CR 119. Deputy responded and determined the vehicle to be abandoned and blocking the roadway. Vehicle towed from scene.

SO Burleson County reported a vehicle pursuit entering Lee County on SH 21 at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. Deputy and DPS Trooper assisted in pursuit which entered into Bastrop County.

Deputy responded to a civil standby on Avenue B in Lexington.

Deputy investigated a report of a hit-and-run crash on FM 696 West.

 

May 10, 2025

Deputy met with parties on PR 2141. Criminal Trespass Notice issued.

Deputies responded to a crash on CR 217.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on CR 430. Deputy determined the vehicle to be abandoned and blocking the roadway. Vehicle towed from the scene.

Deputy performed a vehicle unlock on East Austin St. in Giddings.

Caller reported a vehicle crashing through a fence on CR 205 and leave the scene in another vehicle. GPD located the vehicle on North Burleson St. and a Deputy arrived to investigate. One male suspect was transported to an out-of-county facility for medical clearance prior to being booked into the Lee County Jail for Leaving the Scene of a Crash.

Caller reported a noise complaint on CR 118. Deputy located the source and the music was turned off.

Caller reported gunfire on FM 696 West. Deputy located the source. No offense.

Caller reported a noise complaint on Kay St. Deputy located a live band that was ending their performance for the night.

Caller reported gunfire on CR 424. Deputy located the source. No offense.

 

May 11, 2025

Deputy responded to FM 112 on a requested welfare check. Unable to locate.

SO Bastrop County reported their Deputy was investigating a theft and a suspect fled the scene. Lee County Sergeant located the suspect and Lee County and transported him to Bastrop County.

Caller reported loud music on CR 306. Deputy responded and the music was turned off.

Deputy responded to a civil matter on Avenue B in Lexington.

Caller reported a large snake in their yard in the 4100 block of E. Austin St. Deputy determined the large chicken snake was not a copperhead.

Deputy responded to an address on CR 430 for gunfire. Deputy located the source. No offense.

 

Deputies initiated 109 traffic enforcement stops, made 89 security checks, and responded to 16 animal/loose livestock calls.

 

 

We will be providing security for the upcoming Lee County Fair to ensure a safe and family friendly event for all to enjoy.
