May 4, 2026
Deputy conducted traffic enforcement in the 8400 block US 77 North.
Motorist reported a reckless driver on US 77 South. Deputy located and made contact with the driver.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on TX 21. A probable cause search resulted in an arrest and booking into Lee County Jail.
All units responded to an alert at a GISD campus, which turned out to be a false alarm.
Deputy handled a juvenile matter on CR 309.
May 5, 2026
Deputy initiated a traffic stop at US 77/CR 405. The stop resulted in an arrest and booking into Lee County Jail.
Deputies conducted traffic enforcement in LISD school zones.
Deputy handled a juvenile matter on Giddings Street.
Deputy completed a requested welfare check of a motorist on CR 309.
May 6, 2026
Deputy initiated a traffic stop for passing a school bus when loading. Citation issued.
Deputy completed a warrant service on FM 141. One booked into Lee County Jail.
Deputy issued citations for speeding in LISD school zone.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on FM 141. One arrested and booked into Lee County Jail.
Deputy assisted Highway Patrol with an arrest from a traffic stop. One transported to Lee County Jail.
Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the 3100 block of TX 21 East. Deputies searched for the red Chrysler sedan, but were unable to locate.
Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.
Deputy completed a requested welfare check on CR 116.
Sergeant conducted 68-A inspections at the sheriff's office.
Deputy responded to a one vehicle crash on CR 225.
Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance call on CR 105.
May 7, 2026
Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on US 290 West for school buses. Citation issued for passing school bus when loading.
Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on US 290 East for school buses.
Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.
Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on CR 124.
Deputy conducted a follow-up theft investigation with a complainant.
Deputy issued citations for speeding in LISD school zone.
Deputy made security check at Veteran's Park during Little League games.
Deputy completed a requested welfare check on CR 233.
Deputy cleared a residence after a citizen reported suspicious activity on PR 1417.
Deputies responded to assist GPD units with reported shots fired in the 600 block of N. Chambers Street.
May 8, 2026
Deputy responded to PR 6004 on a reported criminal trespass call.
Deputy responded to a reported road-rage incident on FM 141.
Deputies responded to a reported disturbance on PR 7022.
Deputies responded to assist GPD with a disturbance in the 420 E. Austin Street.
Deputy responded with Fire Dept. to a motorist assist on W. FM 696.
Deputy responded to a noise complaint on FM 180/CR 133.
May 9, 2026
Deputy completed a crisis intevention transport to an out-of-county facility.
Deputy responded to a requested welfare check on TX 21 West.
Deputy provided a courtesy transport to a stranded motorist.
Deputies responded to a reported disturbance on Caldwell Street.
Motorist reported a minor crash vs. hog on FM 180.
Deputy responded to a suspicious person call on CR 217. One booked into Lee County Jail on an out-of-county warrant.
May 10, 2026
Motorist reported a reckless driver on East US 290. Deputy located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. One arrested and booked into Lee County Jail.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on US 77 North. One arrested and booked into Lee County Jail.
Deputies completed warrant service on Shady Oaks Street. Two booked into Lee County Jail.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on CR 223. One arrested and booked into Lee County Jail.
Deputies assisted VFD and Commissioner with flash flooded county roads.
Deputies also assisted with two vehicles that were stuck in water on CR 127 during the storm.
Commissioners came out to remove road debris from several locations.
For this reporting period, Lee County Deputies initiated 124 traffic enforcement stops, made 100 security checks, and responded to 10 animal/loose livestock calls.
