May 18, 2026

Deputies and VFD responded to an RV fire on CR 449. One arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Sergeant met with a complainant in regard to fraud.

Deputy responded to US 290 W for a criminal trespass notice.

 

May 19, 2026

Deputy responded to investigate the reported theft of a bbq pit from Westwood Lane.

Deputy met with a complainant in regard to fraud.

Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.

Caller reported a white van parked in his driveway on CR 309. Deputy patrolled CR 309 and the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the 3200 block of SH 21 W. The parties were separated.

Deputies responded to reported gunfire on CR 219. Deputies met with involved parties and the matter is under investigation.

Deputy removed roadway debris on SH 21.

Commissioner removed roadway debris on CR 214.

Commissioner removed roadway debris on CR 117.

TXDOT removed roadway debris on FM 448.

Deputy completed warrant service at the Lee County Jail on a female that surrendered on a local charge.

Commissioner removed roadway debris at CR 205/207.

Commissioner removed roadway debris on CR 309.

 

May 20, 2026

Deputies patrolled and checked on flooded county roads.

Deputy assisted a citizen in Giddings with a vehicle unlock.

Deputies responded to Dead End Lane for an agency assist.

Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on FM 1697.

Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.

Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on CR 124.

Caller reported a welfare check of a male walking on CR 226. The Deputy had previously checked on this individual who was picking up trash.

Sergeant met with a complainant in regard to fraud.

Deputy responded to a juvenile matter on CR 326.

Deputy responded to CR 413 for a criminal trespass.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop on CR 412. One booked into the Lee County Jail.

 

May 21, 2026

Deputies conducted traffic enforcement on US 77 N.

Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.

Deputy spoke with a caller in regard to criminal trespass.

Deputy took a report of criminal mischief on Raintree Lane.

Deputy made contact with the individual responsible for a previously reported theft of a bbq pit. There was a misunderstanding and the property was returned to the owner.

Deputies were summoned to the 600 block of Wells Street in Lexington for a disturbance. Two arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Sheriff responded to CR 451 for a reported disturbance. One party issued a criminal trespass notice.

Deputy responded to a requested welfare check of a male subject in a tent by the Masonic Lodge in Lexington.

Deputy made security checks of the Masonic Lodge for previously reported male subject.

 

May 22, 2026

Reckless driver reported to LCSO Dispatch. Deputy located the vehicle on US 290 E and determined that their trailer became unhitched. Violation corrected.

Deputy responded to CR 316 to assist a citizen.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on SH 21. The vehicle was located and the violation was corrected.

Deputy responded to a suspicious person call on N. Main St. in Lexington. LPD advised they are familiar with the female subject.

Deputies summoned to 3600 block of S. US 77 for a disturbance. One female arrested on site and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Motorist reported the train has been stopped for 15 minutes on US 290. LCSO Dispatch made contact with UPR and were advised of a mechanical issue. Information forwarded to GPD.

 

May 23, 2026

Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on SH 21.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop on SH 21. One arrested and booked into Lee County Jail.

Deputy checked on a motorist at FM 448/CR 215.

Deputies assisted GPD with a disturbance on Cactus St.

Deputy worked a minor 2 vehicle crash on SH 21 in Lincoln.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 226. One arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Caller reported a suspicious female on CR 217. Deputy located and identified the individual before providing a courtesy transport.

 

May 24, 2026

Deputy checked on a suspicious subject on Sunrise Avenue.

Deputies responded to the 1500 block of W. Austin St. to issue a criminal trespass notice.

Deputy responded to the 3300 block of FM 112 in regard to a suspicious person.

Deputy responded to SH 21 in regard to a suspicious person. The individual was located and identified to be a stranded motorist.

Deputy responded to US 77 North in regard to a suspicious male subject standing in the caller's driveway. Deputy arrived and located a vehicle on the side of the road, but no male subject. The Deputy patrolled the area on foot, then tagged the vehicle as abandoned.

 

For this reporting period, Lee County Deputies initiated 109 traffic enforcement stops, made 81 security checks, and responded to 14 animal/loose livestock calls.

 

We are getting to our busiest time of the year. We urge you to remain vigilant and make timely reports of suspicious activities.
