March 2, 2026

Deputies assisted at the scene of a two vehicle collision US Hwy 77/SH 21.

Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on CR 217 after citizen's complaints.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop on US 290. The driver was arrested on multiple warrants and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy assisted a stranded motorist with a courtesy ride.

Complainant spoke with a Deputy in regard to a fraud case.

Deputy completed a requested welfare check on CR 204.

Complainant reported a male subject on a red four wheeler causing a disturbance at a residence on 4th Street in Lexington.

 

March 3, 2026

Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on W. FM 696 and CR 309.

Deputy completed a requested welfare check on N. US Hwy 77.

Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on W. US Hwy 290 for school bus stops.

Deputy met with a citizen in regard to a traffic complaint. It was reported that the young driver of a white pickup truck has been driving recklessly thru the "S" curves in Dime Box.

Complainant reported criminal trespass at property on CR 107. Deputy responded and arrested one male subject, who was booked into the Lee County Jail.

Complainant reported a theft of utility service at an address on CR 451.

Deputy completed a requested welfare check on FM 112.

Deputy responded to FM 1624 to investigate a crash involving property damage.

 

March 4, 2026

Sergeant conducted 68-A inspections at the sheriff's office.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop on N. US Hwy 77. One male subject was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy completed a requested welfare check on CR 425.

 

March 5, 2026

Deputy assisted a stranded motorist with a tire change on E. US Hwy 290/CR 236.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop and cited a violator for passing an authorized emergency vehicle with red/blue lights activated. The law requires that approaching motorists vacate the nearest lane or slow down 20 mph below the posted speed limit.

Caller reported a pick up truck fully involved with fire in the middle of CR 226 near the Golf Course. Sheriff, Deputies, and GVFD responded to the scene.

Deputy investigated a one vehicle crash on N. US Hwy 77/SH 21.

Deputies responded to meet with GPD in regards to a crisis intervention. One male subject was identified and evaded on foot. A Deputy arrested the male after a brief foot chase; who was then booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop on E. US Hwy 290 for speeding 101/75 mph zone. After further investigation, one male subject was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.

 

March 6, 2026

Deputies responded to a crash on W. US Hwy 290.

Sergeant conducted 68-A inspections.

Caller reported a suspicious female on S. US Hwy 77. Deputy arrived and provided a courtesy transport.

Sergeant completed a warrant service on SH 21. One male booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on SH 21.

Deputy responded to an minor one vehicle vs. deer crash on N. US Hwy 77.

Motorist reported a reckless driver in a blue pick up truck on FM 141.

Deputies assisted Bastrop Co. S.O. in stopping a vehicle that evaded arrest. The vehicle was stopped on W. US Hwy 290 and two individuals were taken into custody.

 

March 7, 2026

Deputy conducted warrant service on PR 7007 with one male subject taken into custody and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Sergeant conducted 68-A inspections.

Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle parked on CR 223 near the Fayette County line. Deputy responded to investigate, but the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Sergeant checked on an animal cruelty complaint on S. US Hwy 77.

Deputy conducted warrant service on W. Austin St. One male subject taken into custody and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy responded to a report of illegal dumping on CR 425. Contact was made for the responsible party to appropriately dispose of the items.

Deputy conducted warrant service at a business in Dime Box. One male was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock on CR 326.

Sheriff and Deputies responded to Shady Oaks on a reported disturbance in progress.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on SH 21. Deputy located the vehicle and intiated a traffic stop. After further investigation, an individual was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.

 

March 8, 2026

Deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance on CR 132. Upon arrival, one male subject fled on foot, as did one female subject. After further investigation it was determined that the female had been assaulted by the male. The male was captured in the woods. The male was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail. The female was eventually located and EMS was summoned for treatment. Constable Pct. 2, Texas Parks & Wildlife, Post Oak VFD, Giddings VFD assisted at the scene. We thank our partners for their assistance.

Deputies received a report of a dangerous dog in the 1500 block of CR 105.

Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.

Caller reported a suspicious male walking on CR 208. Deputy located the individual who owned property in the area.

Deputies and Sheriff responded to assist GPD by searching E. US Hwy 290 for the vehicles believed to be involved in an incident in the Walmart parking lot.

 

For this reporting period, Lee County Deputies initiated 142 traffic enforcement stops, made 149 security checks, and responded to 28 animal/loose livestock calls.
