March 16, 2026

Sergeant conducted 68-A inspections at the sheriff's office.

Sheriff, Deputies, Constable Pct. 3, and Constable Pct. 4 provided a funeral escort from Milam County line to Lexington Cemetery.

Sergeant assisted another agency with a juvenile investigation on CR 203.

 

March 17, 2026

Deputy responded to a burn ban violation on CR 217. Citation issued.

Deputy completed a warrant service. One female booked into Lee County Jail.

Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.

Deputy completed a requested welfare check on CR 454.

Deputy assisted with a one vehicle vs. livestock crash on CR 430.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop on W. US Hwy 290. One booked into Lee County Jail.

 

March 18, 2026

Deputy assisted with a one vehicle vs. deer crash on FM 3403.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on CR 117. Deputy responded but the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Deputy and JP4 responded to an inquest on FM 3403.

Sheriff, Lieutenant, and Sergeant responded to an investigation on CR 139. JP2 was summoned to the scene for an inquest.

 

March 19, 2026

Deputy assisted with traffic control for a disabled vehicle on N. US Hwy 77.

Deputy spoke with a complainant in regard to fraud.

Deputy spoke with a complainant in regard to harassment.

Lieutenant conducted warrant service. One male booked into Lee County Jail.

Deputy assisted at the scene of a medical call on CR 201.

Deputy and JP2 responded to an inquest.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop in Lexington. One male booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputies responded to a crisis intervention call on CR 324.

Motorist reported a male walking along N. US Hwy 77. Deputy checked on the individual and provided a courtesy ride.

 

March 20, 2026

Received multiple reports of scammers contacting citizens for alleged missed jury duty and threatening arrest. Most definitely a SCAM.

Deputy conducted a welfare check on FM 141.

Deputies assisted at the scene of a major crash on N. US Hwy 77.

Deputies conducted traffic enforcement on SH 21.

Deputy responded to a disturbance on CR 127.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop on FM 3403. One booked into Lee County Jail.

Deputies, Game Warden, State park Police, and CID Lieutenant assisted with a reported missing person on FM 1697. Individual was located.

 

March 21, 2026

Deputy responded to a noise complaint on Cherry Drive. Deputy made contact with the individuals and the music volume was lowered.

Deputy responded to a reported traffic hazard on N. US Hwy 77.

Deputy conducted a motorist assist in the 4000 block of N. US Hwy 77. One subject booked into the Lee County Jail on multiple out-of-county warrants.

Sergeant initiated a traffic stop on FM 141. One booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop on E. US Hwy 290. One booked into Lee County Jail.

Deputy completed a welfare check on CR 309.

At 3:30am, a caller reported a male subject shining a flashlight at a vacant house near the log cabins in Lexington. Deputies patrolled the area, but the male was gone upon arrival.

Deputies assisted at the scene of a crash on E. US Hwy 290.

Deputies and LPD responded to a report of a missing child. The child was located.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on N. US Hwy 77. Deputy located the driver, who was booked into the Lee County Jail after an investigation.

 

March 22, 2026

Sergeant responded to a traffic hazard report on CR 118.

Deputies responded to a reported disturbance on CR 206. No offense occurred and the parties were separated.

Complainant on CR 108 reported the theft of a flag. Close patrol in effect.

Deputy checked on a disabled vehicle on N. US Hwy 77.

 

For this reporting period, Lee County Deputies initiated 175 traffic enforcement stops, made 107 security checks, and responded to 20 animal/loose livestock calls.
