Traffic stop on CR 330. One arrested and booked into Jail.
Theft investigation. Complainant reported money missing from mailed envelope. Report taken.
Traffic stop on CR 402. One arrested on warrant and booked into Jail.
Traffic enforcement conducted N. US 77 in Tanglewood.
Traffic stop on E. US 290. One arrested and booked into Jail.
Property damage to county road sign documented on CR 401. Precinct Commissioner notified.
Minor crash report of vehicle vs. deer on FM 696.
July 28, 2026
Deputies responded to a silent 911 call for a verbal disturbance on FM 180. Deputies determined that no offense had occurred.
Deputy took a report from a complainant in regard to fraud.
Sheriff and Deputies attended a community prayer vigil in Dime Box.
Deputies responded to a crisis intervention.
Deputy checked a stranded motorist in the 6600 block of N. US 77.
Security checks performed at 24/7 convenience store in Lexington.
Traffic stop on E. US 290. Driver cited for 96/75 mph zone.
Deputy conducted a welfare check on a male pedestrian walking SH 21/CR 426.
Traffic stop on SH 21. Driver cited for 98/60 mph zone.
Abandoned vehicles tagged for removal in Shady Oaks subdivision.
July 29, 2026
Deputies assisted with traffic control for funeral escort.
Property damage reported to mailbox on CR 216. Report taken for investigation.
Deputy took a report from a complainant in regard to fraud.
Deputies checked out with a reported reckless driver on SH 21. DPS Trooper assigned to Commercial Vehicle Enforcement assisted at the stop location.
Deputy met with a complainant to take a report of an assault.
Deputy completed a requested welfare check of a resident on CR 226.
Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on FM 112.
Deputy responded to CR 327 to investigate a report of illegal dumping.
Deputy conducted a welfare check of a male pedestrian SH 21/FM 3403. Courtesy ride provided.
Caller reported suspicious noise coming from oil tank off of CR 205. Deputy responded and notified the emergency contact line for the matter to be checked into further.
Complaint of male subject trespassing in the 4200 block of SH 21.
Deputy responded to an address on Willow Creek Dr. in regard to trespassing. Criminal Trespass Notice served.
July 30, 2026
Deputy checked on a reported traffic hazard on N. US 77.
Deputy conducted a motorist assist on N. US 77.
Deputy performed a citizen assist on E. Austin St.
Motorist reported a large tree in the roadway on CR 135. Deputy responded as did Precinct Commissioner.
Deputy responded to a crisis intervention.
Deputy responded to assist a citizen with a vehicle unlock.
Deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance on PR 1261. The incident was investigated and warrants were issued on the suspect that fled the scene. The male suspect has since surrendered and was booked into Jail.
July 31, 2026
Sergeant met with a complainant in regard to fraud.
Deputy conducted a welfare check on W. US 290.
Deputy completed a motorist assist on CR 430.
Deputy responded to conduct a requested welfare check of a male subject on SH 21. The individual was gone upon arrival.
Traffic enforcement on SH 21.
Deputies responded to an address on Westwood Ln. for a reported domestic disturbance. Deputies determined that no offense had occurred.
Augst 1, 2026
Deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance on 3rd St. Deputies determined that no offense had occurred.
Motorist reported a reckless driver on SH 21. Deputies were tied up on the previous call for service.
Deputy met with a victim in regard to stolen property. A trailer and mower were reported stolen from PR 5002. The matter was investigated and the trailer was recovered. Pending further investigation at this time.
Deputies assisted at the scene of a crash on CR 326.
Traffic stop on W. Austin St. Driver citied for 85/55 mph zone.
Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle that appeared to have been involved in a crash on CR 226. One arrested and booked into Jail.
Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance on FM 1624. Deputies determined there was no offense.
Deputies and Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace responded to an inquest.
Deputy responded to PR 4041 on reported suspicious activity. Deputy searched the area and nothing was located.
Agust 2, 2026
Traffic stop on E. SH 21. Driver cited for 88/60 mph zone.
Deputy responded to an address on CR 425 to assist with a juvenile matter.
Deputy assisted with a medical call on CR 425.
Citizen on CR 304 reported a dog bite incident.
LCSO Communications received a cell phone crash detection alert. Caller called back to inform that their phone had fallen.
Complainant reported illegal dumping in the 4300 block of CR 133. Deputy responded to investigate.
Caller reported a suspicious person walking their fenceline on CR 117. Deputy responded and located the individual, who was para-gliding and landed short of their intended landing zone.
Deputy assisted a motorist with traffic control on FM 2440.
Deputy completed warrant service at the Lee County Jail.
Deputy conducted a follow-up investigation with theft case on PR 5002.
Deputy took a report of a runaway juvenile on CR 309. Juvenile was located.
For this reporting period, Deputies conducted 86 traffic stops, made 62 security checks, and handled 22 animal/loose livestock calls.

- SCAMS: Please continue to be vigilant for scam callers. These criminals can be very convincing and will pressure you to pay them by various methods by claiming any number of things, such as: missed jury duty, traffic fines, warrants, or bail for loved ones. Legitimate law enforcement will NEVER request payment from you.
- SCHOOL & TRAFFIC SAFETY: Our local schools will soon be back in session. Please remain alert of the posted school zones and school buses that are loading/unloading. These type of violations are zero-tolerance, meaning a citation will be issued to the violator. Please be cautious and help us protect our youth.
