February 16, 2026
Sergeant conducted 68-A inspections at the sheriff's office.
Deputies and Pct. 2 Constable assisted at the scene of a major crash at N. US Hwy 77/FM 1624.
Deputies assisted with traffic control for a funeral escort.
Deputy handled a crisis intervention call.
Deputy met with a complainant in regards to a juvenile matter.
Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.
Deputy completed a welfare check at a residence on FM 2440.
Deputy responded to the 4100 block of N. US Hwy 77 to check on a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway. Vehicle gone upon arrival.
Caller reported trespassers on property in the 4400 block of FM 2440. Deputies checked the area and the persons were gone upon arrival.
February 17, 2026
Motorist reported a male subject walking on the road on W. US Hwy 290. One male subject was located, arrested, and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Deputy conducted a warrant service. One arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Deputy spoke with a resident about scams.
Deputy responded to LISD in regards to a juvenile matter.
Deputy assisted a citizen in Dime Box with a vehicle unlock.
Deputy provided a transport to an out-of-county facility for a crisis intervention.
Deputy and Pct. 4 Constable patrolled Dime Box on a report of reckless driving.
Deputy assisted GPD at GISD for a juvenile matter.
Deputy assisted GPD on E. Austin St. for a minor hit-and-run crash.
Deputies completed a welfare check that involved a traffic stop. One individual was provided a courtesy transport.
February 18, 2026
Sergeant spoke with a complainant about possible Theft.
Sergent took a report for Identity Theft.
Sergeant advised of a suspicious vehicle on CR 436. Vehicle was unoccupied.
Caller reported a reckless driver on FM 141 near FM 1697. Sergeant checked area but unable to locate vehicle.
Deputy responded to a reckless driver on FM 696 West. Vehicle was located and stopped.
Deputy met with a complainant about a criminal trespass warning.
February 19, 2026
Deputy removed debris from the roadway on Hwy 77 in Tanglewood.
Deputy spoke with a complainant on CR 404 about an animal complaint.
Sergeant responded to CR 118 in reference to a burn ban violation.
Sergeant assisted with traffic control on North Orange Street.
Deputy spoke with a resident about a scam.
Caller reported a younger female walking near CR 405. Deputy made contact with subject.
Deputies responded to a disturbance on Chisholm Trail. One was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
February 20, 2026
Deputies were dispatched to Blaha Avenue in Dime Box for a disturbance. Parties were separated.
Deputy spoke with a resident on CR 210 about a suspicious vehicle seen on camera on the property.
Lieutenant Investigator conducted a follow up.
Sergeant conducted 68-A inspection at the sheriff's office.
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on FM 141. One was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Caller reported suspicious activity on Blaha Avenue in Dime Box. Deputy checked the area.
Sergeant and Deputy responded to a disturbance on CR 123. Parties were separated.
Deputies checked property on CR 118 for suspicious activity at the request of the property owner. No one was found on the property.
February 21, 2026
Chief Deputy assisted with traffic control on Hwy 77 near East CR 327 for a disabled vehicle.
Motorist reported a vehicle in the lane of traffic on Hwy 77. Reserve Deputy located vehicle.
Deputies conducted a funeral escort from Giddings to FM 3403 with the assistance of Giddings Police Department.
Deputies and Trooper assisted with a funeral escort.
Dispatch received calls about a reckless driver on FM 696 West. Sergeant and Deputy located the vehicle and made contact with the driver.
Sergeant conducted a welfare check on a resident on FM 141.
Deputy responded to a noise complaint on CR E. Contact was made with property owner.
February 22, 2026
Sergeant took a report for Fraud.
Deputy assisted with a disabled vehicle on FM 141.
Deputy spoke with a complainant about a civil matter.
Sergeant conducted 68-A inspection at the sheriff's office.
Deputy was dispatched to a residence on Hwy 290 East for a medical alarm. Contact was made with subject.
Sergeant assisted Deputy with a traffic stop on Hwy 21 near CR 402. One was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.
Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.
Sergeant assisted Giddings Police Department with a 911 caller.
Deputy checked out with a disabled vehicle on Hwy 290 East near CR 201. Subjects had tow truck on the way.
For this reporting period, Lee County Deputies initiated 155 traffic enforcement stops, made 134 security checks, and responded to 11 animal/loose livestock calls.
