Feb 10, 2025
Deputies responded to property on CR 436 for suspicious circumstances. After meeting with the parties involved, it was determined to be a misunderstanding.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on SH 21 in Old Dime Box. The driver resisted arrest and assistance was rendered by Sheriff, Deputies, and Constable Pct. 2. The driver was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail for possession of controlled substance.
Feb 11, 2025
Deputy assisted DPS Trooper at the scene of a minor one vehicle crash at SH 21/Hwy 77.
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist with a courtesy ride on SH 21.
Deputy spoke with a complainant who reported that they received a phone call from a unknown person telling them to close their bank account and change their social security number. Information taken for scam/fraud report.
Deputy stopped at a property on CR 405 to repair fence to prevent livestock from roaming.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check at a residence on Westwood Lane.
Deputy took an information report for a dog bite that occurred on CR 133.
Feb 12, 2025
Deputy assisted with traffic control for a disabled semi on SH 21 at the Bastrop County line.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on the Lexington ISD school zone and issued a citation for speeding 55/35 mph zone.
Georgetown PD reported an assault that occurred in Lee County. LCSO Criminal Investigations worked the case and warrants were issued for the suspect.
Deputies conducted a requested welfare check at a residence on Blaha Avenue.
Sergeant responded to Hwy 290 East to locate a motorist that was having a medical episode and called 911 for help. GVFD and LCEMS responded to the scene for the patient.
Caller reported a suspicious white Nissan Altima parked at the neighbor's residence. Caller further reported a male subject removing items from the residence. A Deputy arrived within one minute of the call. The male suspect was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail. Additional follow-up investigation is being handled by LCSO Criminal Investigations.
Deputy provided a courtesy ride for a male subject that was reported as a welfare concern at FM 696/CR 305.
Feb 13, 2025
Deputies investigated a case of animal cruelty at a property on CR 439.
Deputy conducted a welfare check at a residence on CR 317 after LCSO Dispatch received a panic alarm. LCEMS responded to assist the patient.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop at SH 21/CR 401 and issued a citation for speeding 95/70 mph zone.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 4200 block of SH 21 and issued a citation for speeding 98/70 mph zone.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop in the Lexington ISD school zone and issued a citation for speeding 59/35 mph zone.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop in the Lexington ISD school zone and issued a citation for speeding 50/35 mph zone.
Deputy patrolled the LISD afternoon bus route and issued a citation for failure to yield for school bus on Hwy 77 North.
Deputy made another traffic stop on Hwy 77 North and issued a citation for failure to yield for school bus.
Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on CR 410. Information taken for a report, no criminal charges filed.
Deputies responded to a crisis intervention at a residence in Lexington. Deputies made contact with the individual.
Caller reported a loud noise on Bowers Avenue in Dime Box. Deputy responded and located the source which turned out to be a generator.
Feb 14, 2025
While patrolling LISD campus, Deputy observed two individuals attempting to gain access through a gate. After investigating, it was confirmed the individuals were new employees.
Motorist reported a male subject in a motorized wheelchair in the ditch on CR 208. Deputy arrived on scene and summoned LCEMS for the patient, who was transported. Sheriff and Deputies loaded the wheelchair in a patrol truck and delivered to patient's residence.
Feb 15, 2025
Deputy returned loose livestock to pasture on Hwy 290/CR 202 and repaired fence to prevent livestock from roaming.
Deputies assisted with a funeral escort to Dime Box.
Deputies conducted warrant service at a residence on CR 133. One male suspect was arrested and secured in the Lee County Jail.
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist with traffic control until a wrecker could make location on SH 21.
SO Hays County requested a welfare check on a subject in the 4200 block of Hwy 290 East. Deputies and Troopers located the individual, who was arrested for possession of controlled substance and secured in the Lee County Jail.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Hwy 290 East. The driver was found to have an outstanding out-of-county warrant for burglary of a vehicle. The subject was placed under arrest and secured in the Lee County Jail.
While on patrol, a Deputy checked on a stranded motorist at Hwy 290/CR 139. The Deputy provided a courtesy ride to the driver.
Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance on Westwood Lane. No offense committed, parties separated to keep the peace.
Feb 16, 2025
Deputy responded to an address on CR 430 to investigate a report of a missing gun. Report taken.
Deputy responded to a minor one vehicle crash with property damage at SH 21/CR 327. While on scene, a driver was issued a citation for passing a fire truck that was set up for traffic control.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Holcombe Drive in Lexington. One female was arrested for assault family violence and secured in the Lee County Jail.
Deputy assisted at the scene on a minor one vehicle crash on Hwy 290 East.
Deputies located and returned a brown and white longhorn to pasture at a property on SH 21. A citation was issued to the owner for allowing livestock to roam after multiple issues with the same animal.
Motorist requested assistance with a vehicle unlock on Hwy 290 East. Deputy arrived and was able to confirm the vehicle owner and unlock the vehicle.
Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle parked behind the Tanglewood VFD. The fireman was identified and all was okay.
Sergeant initiated a traffic stop on Hwy 77 North. After a probable cause search was conducted, the driver was arrested for possession of controlled substance, unlawful carrying of weapons, and felon in possession of firearms. Subject was booked into the Lee County Jail.
While patrolling FM 696 East, a Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in excess of 100 miles per hour. The vehicle was stopped on CR 406 and a probable cause search was conducted. One individual was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail for possession of controlled substance.
Deputies initiated 131 traffic enforcement stops, made 58 security checks, and responded to 14 animal/loose livestock calls.
