Deputy met with a complainant in regard to a civil matter.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check of an individual on Westwood Lane.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check of an individual in the 3600 block of Hwy 77 North.
Deputy responded to a residence and completed an Emergency Detention Order for a crisis intervention call.
Complainant reported noise complaint on Deerwood Dr. Deputy patrolled the area but did not locate the source of the loud music.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check of an individual on FM 180.
Complainant reported noise complaint on CR 119. Deputies responded to the area and located the source.
Passing motorists reported a male subject laying in the ditch on Hwy 290 West near a vehicle. Deputies responded and one male subject was arrested after being cleared by EMS.
12/31/2024
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Hwy 290 East for a moving violation. A probable cause search was conducted and one female subject was arrested.
Complainant reported vehicle parts found at the scene of a damaged fence on CR 309. Deputy responded to investigate.
Deputy transported a crisis intervention subject to an out-of-county facility.
Deputy responded to the 5900 block of Hwy 290 East for a follow-up investigation. One male suspect was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.
Complainant reported a vehicle driving on CR 426 shooting fireworks out of the vehicle. Deputy patrolled the area but did not locate.
Complainant reported shooting of firearms on CR 431. Deputy patrolled the area but did not locate.
Sheriff met with some juveniles lighting fireworks on Burns St. after 1:00am. They were encouraged to find another time place to continue their fun.
Complainant reported a suspicious male subject in camo trying to flag them down on Cherry Dr. Sheriff identified the individual and recommended that he go home.
Deputies responded to CR 306 for noise complaint.
Deputies responded to assist DPS Troopers with a crash on FM 180 where one male subject resisted arrest. Deputy transported one to Lee County Jail.
Deputy responded to CR 314 on a report of a tree across the roadway.

Sheriff was sworn-in for the 2025-2028 term. All Deputies were sworn-in by the Sheriff
Deputy issued a Criminal Trespass Warning to a suspect per the property owner's request.
Sheriff, Chief Deputy, and CID Investigators investigated a link to the terror attack in New Orleans with the Texas Rangers and agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Determined there was no danger or threat of danger here locally.
Caller from Bastrop County reported an explosion and believed it to be in the area of CR 333. VFD checked the area but did not locate the source.
Caller reported an explosion in the area of FM 3403. VFD checked the area but did not locate the source.
Complainant reported a suspicious person in their yard in a gray sweat suit; which was caught on camera. Deputy patrolled the area on Shaw St. but did not locate the individual.
Deputy spoke with a caller on CR 135 in regard to a civil matter.
Deputy responded to a minor one vehicle crash vs. deer on Hwy 290 West.
1/2/2025
Sergeant conducted a sex offender registry compliance check.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on Westwood Lane.
Complainant met with a Deputy to report a theft of license plates from a vehicle on CR 121.
Deputy assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock on E. Railroad Row.
Deputy issued two Criminal Trespass Warnings per a property owner's request in Lexington.
Deputies responded to a minor two vehicle crash on FM 696.
Sheriff was made aware of a terroristic threat made online. CID Investigator and DPS Agent responded to CR 306 to address the matter with a female subject.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Hwy 290 East. The driver was found to have an out-of-county arrest warrant. One transported to Lee County Jail.
Complainant reported screaming coming from the area of Lexington High School. Sergeant located individuals on the football field were the source.
Complainant reported a truck driving on CR 223 with fireworks being thrown from the vehicle. Video was obtained and the investigation continues.
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist assist on Hwy 290. Driver provided a courtesy ride.
Deputy located a suspicious male subject in the 200 block of W. Austin St. One male suspect was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.
1/3/2025
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check at a residence on CR 324.
Sheriff checked on a female subject that was causing a noise disturbance at Hempstead/Edgewood. Female went home.
Deputy responded to an address on CR 326 to investigate animal cruelty.
Deputy responded to an address on Giddings St. to conduct a welfare check.
Complainant reported suspicious activity at apartments on Westwood Lane. Deputies patrolled the complex but did not locate any illegal activity.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on FM 696.
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist on SH 21.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check at a residence on CR 327.
Deputy responded to an address on Main Ave. in reference to an animal complaint.
Deputies responded to an address on CR 415 for a crisis intervention call. One transported to an out-of-county facility.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on CR 405. No offense.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check at a residence on Yegua Dr.
Complainant reported loud music on CR 306. Deputy responded and met with the source.
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist on E. Austin St. with a vehicle unlock.
Deputies initiated 99 traffic enforcement stops, made 43 security checks, and responded to 32 animal/loose livestock calls.
