August 24, 2026
School Zone Patrols conducted.
Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on FM 448. Deputy determined the vehicle to be abandoned. Red tagged.
Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the 5700 block of N. US 77. Deputy made contact with the driver.
Complainant reported reckless driving on CR 307. Deputy responded and met with all parties.
Completed a requested welfare check on Deer Valley Dr.
Deputy assisted VFD with traffic control at a grass fire on W. FM 696.
A kidnapping was reported on Cactus St. in Giddings. It was confirmed that the children in question had been removed by the Dept. of Family & Protective Services. A criminal charge of false report is pending further investigation.
Deputies responded to CR 430 for a large grass fire.
Deputies responded to a reported disturbance in the 3600 block of S. US 77. One individual was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Deputy summoned to an address on CR 450 for the purpose of criminal trespass. One served.
Deputy investigated a reported terroristic threat at an address on Giddings St. Unfounded.
Motorist reported downed tree on CR 326. Deputy and Pct. 3 Commissioner responded.
Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on 6th St. Determined that no offense occurred, parties separated.
August 25, 2026
School Zone Patrols conducted.
Responsed to burn ban violation on FM 3403.
Deputy completed a requested welfare check of a female on FM 1697.
Deputy spoke with a complainant regarding an abandoned trailer on CR 209. The trailer was picked up by the owner.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a sand truck on FM 141. The company was warned of failure to secure load, when sand spills and piles up on the roadway.
Traffic enforcement conducted on W. SH 21 in Lincoln.
Citation issued on SH 21 for speeding 102/70 mph zone.
Deputy checked on an abandoned vehicle in the 8400 block of N. US 77.
Overnight security checks made at rural neighborhoods and businesses.
August 26, 2026
School Zone Patrols conducted.
Chief Deputy checked on a reported reckless driver call on E. US 290.
Deputy assisted a citizen on CR 208 with a courtesy vehicle unlock.
Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.
Deputy checked on a reported suspicious vehicle on N. Rockdale St. Determined the driver was waiting for a wrecker.
Deputy met with a complainant to take a report of harassment.
Captain met with a complainant that had experienced fraud from a SCAM caller.
Deputies and JP4 responded to an inquest on N. US 77.
Deputy responded to a requested welfare check on CR 132.
Deputy responded to an address on CR 200 to assist EMS.
Caller reported sand dumped on FM 141 from sand trucks.
Deputy responded to a juvenile matter on S. US 77.
Deputy responded to a crisis intervention report in Lexington. One transported to an out-of-county facility for treatment.
Traffic enforcement conducted E. US 290.
August 27, 2026
LCSO Special Response Team assisted Bastrop County SO with an operation.
School Zone Patrols conducted.
Traffic enforcement conducted on E. SH 21.
Deputy conducted a motorist assist on FM 2239.
Deputy followed-up on an abandoned vehicle on FM 1697.
Deputy and JP2 responded to an inquest on Westwood Ln.
Deputy responded to an address on SFA Blvd. in regard to a property damage report. Caller reported damaged to their windshield.
Deputy completed a requested welfare check on CR 320.
Complainant reported suspicious activity in the 5600 block of E. US 290. Caller stated a hispanic male driving a black SUV was driving around the park trying to sell plates of food to kids. Deputy searched the area, unable to locate. Close patrols in effect.
Deputies assisted DPS Trooper with a traffic stop/vehicle search on SH 21.
Deputies conducted security checks in Dime Box during power outage.
Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle on CR 117.
Deputies conducted security checks in Post Oak during power outage.
Traffic enforcement conducted on E. US 290.
Deputy responded to report of sand on FM 141. TXDOT contacted.
Deputy conducted traffic enforcement/security checks on FM 141 in Dime Box.
Deputy completed warrant service at Lee County Jail on a male subject that surrendered on a local felony warrant.
August 28, 2026
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist with traffic control on N. US 77.
Another Deputy issued four citations to motorists that failed to yield for the patrol vehicle on the previous call.
School Zone Patrols conducted.
Deputy monitored school bus stops on N. US 77.
Deputy responded to a report of a male subject that fell in his home. Deputy was able to assist and EMS was declined.
Deputy checked on a stranded motorist on N. US 77.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on N. US 77 near Tanglewood. Driver cited for speeding 98/60 mph zone.
Sheriff checked on a stranded motorist on E. SH 21. The driver was waiting for a wrecker. A Deputy checked by again later and contacted a locksmith service to assist the motorist with a key fob.
Deputy checked on pedestrian on W. SH 21. Courtesy transport provided.
Deputy and Commissioner Pct. 4 responded to report of downed tree on CR 411.
Sheriff and Deputy checked on a minor one vehicle crash at N. US 77/CR 114.
Commissioner Pct. 3 responded to a downed tree on CR 320.
Commissioner Pct. 2 responded to a downed tree on CR 208.
Deputies assisted with traffic control on N. US 77 for LISD football game.
Deputy responded to a noise complaint on Westwood Ln.
Deputy red-tagged an abandoned vehicle at SH 21/FM 3403.
Deputies conducted overnight security checks of rural neighborhoods and businesses.
August 29, 2026
Deputy responded to a convenience store on SH 21 in regard to a terroristic threat.
Deputy assisted DPS Trooper at the scene of a minor one vehicle crash on CR 327. One arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Caller reported a rattle snake on their porch on CR 350. Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Warden responded to assist.
Deputy responded to a reported theft on CR 414. Complainant reported their landlord removed their mailbox from the county road.
Deputy assisted at the scene of a one vehicle crash on FM 619/Williamson County line.
Traffic enforcement conducted on E. SH 21.
Sergeant assisted Giddings Police on a call on W. Austin St.
Deputy conducted close patrols on CR 229 where City Animal Control set traps for pack of dogs.
Deputy responded to a reported disturbance on PR 7022.
Traffic enforcement conducted on E. US 290.
Deputy responded to an address in Lexington to meet a citizen that found a wallet at a convenience store.
Deputy checked on a reported abandoned vehicle on CR 121.
Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle on E. US 290.
Deputies conducted security checks on rural neighborhoods and businesses.
August 30, 2026
Deputies conducted a check on motorist assist on W. US 290. Deputies determined the vehicle to be entered stolen out of Austin PD. One arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.
Deputy red-tagged an abandoned vehicle on S. US 77.
Deputy conducted close patrols on CR 229.
Traffic enforcement conducted on W. SH 21.
Deputy spoke with a citizen in regard to a civil matter.
Deputies responded to a reported disturbance on PR 3431.
Deputies responded to a reported disturbance on CR 123.
Deputy red-tagged an abandoned vehicle on FM 696.
Caller reported sand on FM 141. On-duty Sergeant notified.
Deputies conducted security checks.
Deputy issued a citation for unsecured load on SH 21 in Old Dime Box.
Deputy issued a citation for a unsecured load on FM 141.
Deputy responded to a minor crash at N. US 77/CR 412.
