August 18, 2025

Sergeant conducted 68-A Inspections at the Sheriff's Office.

Deputy met with a complainant in the 4500 block of US 290 West in regard to stray dogs that are killing chickens and ducks.

Deputy made a welfare check on a stranded motorist on SH 21 at the Burleson County line.

Deputies and Lexington PD Chief responded to a requested welfare check in the 1200 block of N. Rockdale Street. One male subject was arrested on a Williamson County warrant and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy responded to a crisis intervention call on CR 201.

Investigator took a report of child abuse. One male suspect was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy responded to an address on CR 113 on a report of animal cruelty. After an investigation, the Deputy determined there was no offense.

Sergeant conducted sex offender registry requirement checks.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked off of CR 139. Deputy responded and determined that the vehicle was abandoned. The vehicle was red-tagged.

Complainant reported male subjects driving at a high rate of speed and making loud noise on CR 326. The complainant reported that the vehicle and male subjects were now on her property. Deputy arrived to investigate and determined that the males were advised by a family member to apologize to the neighbor for making noise.

Caller reported a suspicious blue pickup truck parked off of CR 205. Deputy arrived and determined that the vehicle was abandoned. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Deputy responded to the 8600 block of N. US 77 for a minor crash involving a vehicle vs. deer.

 

August 19, 2025

Sheriff and Investigators executed a search warrant in Giddings. Items seized as evidence pursuant to local narcotics investigation.

Deputy conducted a motorist assist in the 3200 block of N. US Hwy 77.

Caller reported a suspicious item found on FM 448. Deputy responded and determined everything was okay.

 

August 20, 2025

Deputy responded to investigate a dog bite victim in the 1000 block of Kay St.

Deputy completed a requested welfare check in the 4100 block of E. Austin St.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on N. US 77/CR 114. The driver was arrested on a warrant out of Washington County, and booked into the Lee County Jail.

SO Rusk County reported a possible location of a missing person at an address in Lincoln. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate. Rusk County called back to report an updated location in Travis County.

Deputy responded to a reported suspicious person on CR 226. The individual was located and it was determined that he was an employee.

 

August 21, 2025

Deputy followed-up on an abandoned red-tagged vehicle on CR 139. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Concerned caller reported two juveniles playing in the road at CR 309/CR C. Deputy arrived and met with the parent who advised the kids would no longer play on the road.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop at US 290/CR 205 for speeding. Two reported stolen firearms were located in the vehicle during the investigation, however the Deputy determined that the owner was the driver of the vehicle. The firearms had been reported stolen, returned to the owner, but never reported to law enforcement. The firearms were returned to the driver along with a speeding citation.

All LCSO units and Constable Pct. 2 responded to assist Giddings Police for an active alert at Giddings Elementary. It was determined to be a false alarm.

Chief Deputy located two juveniles walking along FM 2440. It was determined that they had missed their bus, and accepted a ride home as a rainstorm approached.

Deputies responded to FM 141 to assist DPS with a one-vehicle rollover crash.

Motorist called to request assistance on E. US Hwy 290. Deputy arrived to assist with traffic control.

PD Rockdale requested a welfare check on CR 402. Deputies responded to assist and reported information back to Rockdale Police.

 

August 22, 2025

Caller reported a red car that crashed into the creek on CR 208. Deputy responded to investigate and determined that no one was in the vehicle. Crash and follow-up investigation underway.

A male caller requested a Deputy after reporting that his girlfriend told him that she was going to throw his stuff out of her apartment. A Deputy arrived on Westwood Lane to investigate. The same male caller called back to request that the Deputy leave, because he was "doing too much".

Caller reported animal cruelty on FM 1624 outside of Lexington. Deputy responded to investigate and determined there was no offense.

 

August 23, 2025

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on N. US Hwy 77 for a violation, and a subsequent probable cause search was completed. One male subject was arrested for Possession of Marihuana and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon. The male was booked into the Lee County Jail.

Deputies assisted DPS at the scene of a one-vehicle rollover crash near PR 8030.

Sergeant conducted 68-A inspections.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of CR 205. Deputies determined that the occupants were awaiting the property owner to retrieve their estray livestock.

Complainant reported gunfire from an unknown make/model white pickup truck on CR 133 traveling toward Giddings. Deputy searched the area, however the vehicle was gone upon arrival. Close patrol in effect.

Caller reported two juveniles riding at ATV on SFA St. in Dime Box. Deputy patrolled the area, unable to locate.

Giddings Police requested assistance for a large disturbance involving multiple parties on N. Polk St. Deputies and Troopers responded to assist.

Caller reported two white male subjects were parked in a red pickup truck in front of her property on SFA St. in Dime Box. The caller went to check on the subjects, when they cursed and drove off.

Deputy assisted DPS with a pursuit in Lee County that ended in Washington County.

Deputies assisted Giddings Police with crowd control in the 2100 block of E. Hempstead St. The parking lot was cleared.

 

August 24, 2025

Deputies assisted DPS with a foot pursuit from a traffic stop on E. Austin St.

Deputy completed a requested welfare check on CR 307.

Deputies assisted DPS with a major double fatality crash on SH 21.

Deputy responded to a crash involving a vehicle vs. livestock in the 6000 block of FM 141.

 

For this reporting period, Lee County Deputies initiated 118 traffic enforcement stops, made 51 security checks, and responded to 20 animal/loose livestock calls.
