SHERIFF'S OFFICE CONDUCTS SEX OFFENDER COMPLIANCE OPERATION

The Lee County Sheriff's Office recently conducted a countywide operation to verify compliance among registered sex offenders residing in Lee County. During the operation, deputies conducted home compliance checks to ensure offenders were meeting all state-mandated registration requirements.
As a result of the operation, three registered offenders were found to be non-compliant with required regulations. Appropriate enforcement action is being taken in accordance with Texas law.
The operation was conducted with the assistance of Special Agents from the Texas Department of Public Safety, who worked alongside Lee County deputies to carry out the compliance checks.
Sheriff Garrett Durrenberger praised the efforts of those involved in the operation.
"Our deputies remain committed to protecting the citizens of Lee County," said Sheriff Durrenberger. "I appreciate the hard work of our personnel and the support of our partners at the Texas Department of Public Safety in helping ensure that registered offenders are following the law and that our communities remain safe."
The Lee County Sheriff's Office will continue to conduct periodic compliance checks and enforcement operations to ensure offenders remain in compliance with registration requirements.
