Narcotics Investigation Results in Arrests in Burleson County
On Monday, March 16, 2026, law enforcement executed a narcotics search warrant at 16527 Avenue B TX-36 in Somerville, Burleson County, TX as part of an on-going investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics in the region.
The investigation identified a source of methamphetamine being supplied to users and dealers in Lee County. During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located more than 100 grams of methamphetamine.
Due to the presence of children at the residence, Child Protective Services was notified to initiate an investigation.
Michael Vela of Somerville, was arrested and booked into the Burleson County Jail for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, 4<200 grams, and two counts of Abandoning/Endangering a Child.
Clarissa Easley of Somerville, was arrested and booked into the Burleson County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2, 1<4 grams, and two counts of Abandoning/Endangering a Child.
Lee County Search Warrants Executed for Narcotics
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, law enforcement executed a narcotics search warrant at 4728 County Road 127 in Ledbetter, Lee County, TX.
The investigation identified a source of cocaine being supplied to users and dealers within Lee County. During the execution of the search warrant, investigators recovered cocaine, U.S. currency, and three firearms.
On Thursday, March 19, 2026, Christer Mathis of Ledbetter, was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail on three counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, 1<4 grams.

These investigations reflect the continued commitment of law enforcement partnerships to combat the distribution of illegal narcotics, while ensuring the safety and welfare of our children and citizens within our communities.
