ARREST MADE IN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE INVESTIGATION

DIME BOX, TEXAS -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office announces the arrest of a suspect in connection with an investigation involving explosive devices in Dime Box, Texas.

 

On January 15, 2026, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of multiple local, state, and federal agencies, executed a search warrant and arrest warrant at a location in Burleson County. The operation was related to an ongoing investigation stemming from an incident involving explosive devices in Dime Box, Texas. During the investigation, the Lee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division identified the suspect and prior tenant of the residence. 

 

The suspect, identified as Randolph Michael Young, age 72, was taken into custody without incident. Following the arrest, the suspect was transported to a local hospital for unrelated medical treatment and was subsequently booked into the Lee County Jail on an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Prohibited Weapon - Explosives, a Third-Degree Felony under Texas Penal Code §46.05.
