January 2, 2023

07:25 - Deputy Brown responded to a call regarding a cow out on CR 430 between CR 441 and CR 428. Deputy Brown was unable to locate the cow but did locate and secure a horse.

07:44 - Deputy Haman checked out with an abandoned vehicle on US 77 just north of Lexington; it was secure and off the roadway.

08:05 - Deputy Haman checked out with an abandoned vehicle on West FM 696 near the Coal Mines. The vehicle was red tagged, secure and off the roadway.

09:20 - Deputy Haman was out with an abandoned vehicle on SH 21 in Lincoln. The vehicle was red tagged, secure and off the roadway.

10:03 - A call was received regarding an 18-wheeler which had struck a horse trailer and fence on CR 114 near the Loebau Store. Deputy Haman, Deputy Brown, and DPS Trooper McCoy responded to the call.  The incident was found to not be a reportable crash. Information was exchanged between parties.

10:15 - Sgt. Strouth and Deputy J. Hilmo responded to N. Rockdale Street in Lexington for a call of an unwanted subject at the location. A criminal trespass warning was issued by the deputies.

14:42 - A call was received requesting a deputy respond to Main Ave in Lincoln regarding stolen property.  Deputy Hilmo and Sgt. Strouth responded and a theft report was taken.

15:10 - Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown responded to a call of an unwanted person on private property.

16:54 - Deputy J. Brown and Deputy Haman responded to a call regarding two horses out on CR 430 about two miles South of SH 21. The horses were removed from the roadway.

18:57 - A call was received regarding a cat bite on CR 113. Sgt. Young took a report.

19:32 - A call was received requesting a welfare check on the caller's relative. Cpl. West responded and made contact with the relative who was having phone issues. The complainant was contacted and given information.

19:55 - Trooper Pennartz, Trooper Ntabo, Sgt. Young, and Deputy E. Hilmo responded to a 3-vehicle accident on FM 3403 near CR 442. The vehicles were reported to be blocking the road with no injuries sustained by the occupants.

20:50 - Cpl. West and Giddings PD responded to CR 208 after a female came into the Sheriff Office lobby to report a black passenger car driving and firing a gun outside of the vehicle. Cpl. West and Giddings PD were unable to locate the vehicle matching the description.

22:33 - A call was received advising of a reckless driver on SH 21 traveling eastbound in Dime Box. All units were notified and the information was passed to Burleson County.

 

January 3, 2023

03:14 - Sgt. Young and Deputy E Hilmo found an open door at a County building on FM 141.

07:11 - Sgt. Jones, Deputy Dickerson, and Deputy Turner conducted warrant service at a residence near Giddings.   The wanted subject was located, arrested, and transported to the Lee County jail on two warrants.  

10:43 - A caller requested a deputy regarding a neighbor's livestock out and coming onto their property on US 77.  Deputy J. Brown responded and attempted to contact the owner of the cattle. Deputy J. Brown left a message on owner of cattle voicemail.  

13:55 - Deputy J. Brown located a large round bale of hay in the roadway on CR 219.  Deputy Brown removed the round bale of hay from the roadway. The Precinct 2 commissioner was notified.

15:50 - Deputy J. Hilmo attempted to serve civil paperwork on Gary Street in Lexington.  Deputy J. Hilmo was unable to make contact with respondent. 

16:00 - A caller reported cattle out near the roadway on FM 696 West near Arrowhead Storage.  Sgt. Strouth and Deputy J.Hilmo responded.  Upon arrival, the owner was on the scene and the cattle were secured off the roadway.

18:03 - A caller reported a hay bale in the roadway on FM 696 West near CR 304.  Sgt. Young responded.  Upon Deputy Young's arrival, the hay bale was removed from the roadway by a neighbor. 

18:42 - A caller reported suspicious subjects walking around the property with flashlights.  Cpl. West and E. Hilmo responded.  The deputies checked the property and were unable to locate anyone on the property.  

19:08 - A caller reported cattle out on CR 430 near CR 428.  Sgt. Young responded, located the cattle, and secured the cattle off of the roadway. 

20:31 - A caller reported cattle out on US 77 near CR 417.  Cpl. West and Deputy E. Hilmo responded.  The deputies checked the area and were unable to locate any loose cattle. 

20:41 - A caller reported an unwanted subject at a residence on CR 108.  Deputy E. Hilmo and Cpl. West responded.  Upon arrival the unwanted subject had left the area.  A criminal trespass warning was requested to be issued. 

22:26 - A caller reported an assault on CR 402.  Cpl. West and Deputy E. Hilmo responded.  A report was taken.  The investigation is on-going.

23:26 - A caller requested a welfare check on a subject at a residence on Giddings Street in Lexington.  Sgt. Young responded and was able to make contact with a family member, who advised all was okay. 

23:40 - A caller reported cattle out on SH 21 near CR 440. Cpl. West and Deputy E. Hilmo responded and checked the area.  No loose cattle were located. 

 

January 4, 2023

00:44 - A caller reported a disturbance and possible theft of property on CR 426.  Cpl. West and Deputy E. Hilmo responded.  A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued.  

02:31 - Sgt. Young located cattle out near the roadway on FM 1624.  Sgt. Young secured the cattle off the roadway.

03:50 - A caller reported cattle out on CR 323.  Sgt. Young responded and secured the cattle off the roadway. 

05:49 - A subject with warrants entered the Lee County Sheriff's Office to turn himself in on a Felony Warrant.  Deputy Turner met the subject and booked him into the Lee County Jail on the out of county warrant. 

08:30 - A call was received of two horses, a colt, and two cows loose on CR 430. Deputy Turner responded and removed the livestock from the roadway.

10:24 - A call was received from a complainant off CR 316 reporting someone shooting in the area. Deputy Turner, Constable Stephens and Game Warden Moreno responded.

12:06 - Deputy L. Brown and Sgt. Jones responded to a call regarding a neighbor who is trespassing on the complainant's property and cutting trees down. Deputy L. Brown and Sgt. Jones met with the complainant and neighbor.

14:09 - Deputy L. Brown and Sgt. Jones responded to a call on FM 141 regarding someone tampering with a water line.

14:24 - A complainant come into the Sheriff's office to report someone had stolen her mail. The complainant, who resides on FM 448 met with Deputy Turner.

14:54 - A call was received of the complainant having issues with the neighbor's dogs. Sgt. Jones responded and spoke with both parties. The neighbor is working on fixing the fence to keep the dogs secure.

17:23 - A caller was reporting the property owner near CR 424 was no longer allowing him on the property to complete the clearing of trees and vines from area and requested the Deputies return to the area.  Deputy Dickerson and Deputy Dudley responded and separated both parties.

18:00 - Sgt. Holloway met subject at the Lee County Sheriff's Office to update information for the sex offender registry.

18:16 - A subject came to the Lee County Sheriff's Office reporting a terroristic threat.  Sgt. Holloway and Deputy Rodriguez met with complainant and took a report.  The investigation is on-going.

19:49 - A 911 call was received with the complainant reporting possibly being scammed on US 290.  Sgt. Holloway and Deputy Rodriguez responded to address on US 290.  The deputies were unable to make contact with the caller. No contact was able to be made with the complainant. 

22:10 - Deputy Dickerson conducted a traffic stop at FM 696 and FM 619.  The driver was arrested, transported, and booked into the Lee County Jail for Possession of Marijuana. 

 

January 5, 2023

01:08 - A security alarm company called reporting a burglary alarm at a business on CR 217.  Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Rodriguez, and Deputy Dudley responded to the alarm and made contact with the employees on scene. The business was secured.

06:14 - Deputy Turner and Sgt Jones responded to an alarm call on US 290 West. Deputy Turner spoke with an employee who stated they had used the wrong code for the alarm.

07:45 - Deputy Turner responded to a call regarding a cow out on FM 1697 near FM 180. Upon Deputy Turner's arrival, the cow ran off the road and into an open field.

08:40 - Sgt. Jones and Deputy L. Brown responded to a call of a dog which was struck by a vehicle on Oakwood Drive.

09:21 - A call was received of cows out on FM 1697 East of FM 180. The caller advised that the gate and fence are down. Deputy Turner located the cows which ran off into an open field.

09:43 - Deputy L. Brown and Sgt. Jones responded to a report of mailbox damage on FM 696.

10:12 - Deputy L. Brown and Sgt. Jones responded to CR 401 near SH 21 for loose livestock. The livestock was secured.

10:20 - An alarm company reported an alarm off CR 200. Deputy Turner responded and conducted a perimeter check around the property. The residence was checked and found to be secure.

10:40 - A complainant contacted the Sheriff's Office regarding theft. The complainant made a generator purchase and has not received the purchased property. Lieutenant Adams spoke with the complainant and is investigating.

10:50 - A call was received of a reckless driver on FM 696 between CR 309 and 305 who routinely drives in the area. The information was given to deputies and a close patrol was requested between 6 AM and 8 AM daily.

12:45 - A call was received regarding two longhorn cows out near CR 430. Sgt. Jones and Deputy L. Brown removed the cows from the roadway and patched the fence.

13:20 - A call was received for loose cattle on CR 114 three miles east of Hwy 77. Sgt. Jones and Deputy L. Brown responded. 

13:50 - A call was received of a cow out on CR 401 near SH 21. Deputy Turner responded and located the loose cow. Deputy Turner was able to secure the cow off the roadway.

14:47 - A tan truck was reported in the eastbound ditch on Hwy 21 between FM 141 and the county line. Deputy Webber arrived on scene and advised the truck lost the drive shaft and is partially in the roadway. Deputy Webber stayed on scene to assist with traffic control as a large wrecker was needed to move the vehicle. Deputy Turner arrived to assist with traffic as a second wrecker was needed to keep the disabled vehicle from rolling onto its side.

19:11 - Deputy Rodriguez and Sgt. Holloway responded to a call on County Line Road regarding a neighbor's horse. The complainant states that she has made several attempts to resolve the issue regarding a vet bill with the neighbor but has been unable to do. The deputies attempted to make contact with the neighbor but unable to do so.

19:33 - A caller reported a reckless driver on FM 696 West at FM 619.  All deputies were assigned to other calls and unable to check area. The vehicle description and partial license plate were logged for follow-up. 

19:45 - A 911 call was received reporting a one vehicle crash on FM 696 West.  Deputy Dickerson, Deputy Dudley, DPS, Blue VFD, and EMS responded.  The vehicle was towed. DPS completed the crash report. 

20:02 - A 911 call was received reporting a verbal disturbance on Yegua Street.  Deputy Dickerson, Deputy Dudley, and DPS responded. The subjects were separated.  

20:51 Sgt. Holloway and Deputy Rodriguez conducted a follow-up report on Deer Valley Drive in Elgin.  

21:28 - A call was received from a subject at CEFCO in Lexington requesting deputies assist with obtaining property from a residence on FM 696 East.  Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Rodriguez, and DPS responded.  Contact was made with the owner of the residence on FM 696 East.  The property was left for the complainant to pick up.

 

January 6, 2023

00:08 - A call was received from Washington County reporting 13 heads of cattle loose on FM 1697. Deputy Dickerson responded and was unable to locate any of the cattle reported to be out.

06:50 - Reserve Deputy Stem responded to a call for two black cows out on CR 123 about a ¼ mile down from FM 141.

07:01 - A 911 call was received for a 2-vehicle accident on US 77 south. On-duty deputies, DPS, South Lee VFD, and Lee County EMS responded. One driver was transported to the hospital Bryan. Trooper McCoy investigated the accident.

09:25 - Deputy Haman responded to a call of a horse out on FM 180.

11:40 - A call was received from a complainant off CR 430 regarding money concerns. Sgt. Strouth made contact with the complainant.

13:00 - A call was received reporting a one vehicle crash on FM 448 at FM 2239. Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown responded.  No injuries were reported. 

13:05 - Reserve Deputy Stem checked out with a disabled 18-wheeler partially blocking the road on Hwy 77 near CR 438. A wrecker company removed the disabled vehicle.

18:43 - A call was received of a disturbance on Deer Valley Drive. The complainant stated the neighbors were physically fighting in the front yard. All county units responded. Both parties denied any physical fighting but verbal only. The parties were separated.

22:07 - A call came in to the the Sheriff's Office reporting a cow out on SH 21 near CR 440. Cpl. West and Deputy E. Hilmo responded. The animal was secured off the roadway.

 

January 7, 2023

00:39 - Sgt. Young spoke with a complainant regarding making a report for missing firearms from a home on FM 1697.

06:07 - Cpl. West conducted a traffic stop on FM 141 near CR 119.  The driver was arrested, transported and booked into the Lee County Jail for driving while intoxicated. 

10:20 - A subject entered the Lee County Sheriff's Office for an inmate visitation.  The subject had active warrants out of Milam County.  The subject was taken into custody by Sgt. Strouth and Deputy J. Hilmo.  The subject was transported to the county line to meet a Milam County Deputy to transfer the inmate to their custody.

10:25 - Reserve Deputy Stem located 2 bicyclists on CR 313A and CR 313B having mechanical issues.  The bicycle was fixed and the bicyclists left area. 

10:33 - Reserve Deputy Stem located an electrical pole partially down on CR 313A just east of CR 313B.  Bluebonnet Electric was notified and responded. 

13:05 - A caller reported cattle on the roadway on CR 405 near CR 407.  Sgt. Strouth and Deputy H. Hilmo responded.  No loose cattle were located in the area.

13:07 - A caller reported cattle on the roadway on SH 21 near CR 453.  Reserve Deputy Terpstra responded. The cattle were located and secured off the roadway.  Reserve Deputy Terpstra was unable to locate the owner.

14:50 - A caller requested to speak with a Deputy regarding harassment.  Deputy J. Brown spoke with the caller via phone and took information.  Investigation is on-going.

16:50 - A caller reported illegal dumping on CR 117 near CR 143. Precinct 1 Commissioner was notified. 

1705 - Deputy Haman reported finding contraband on the roadway at FM 3403 and SH 21.  The contraband was taken to the Lee County Sheriff's Office to be destroyed.

17:15 - A caller reported a suspicious vehicle driven by an unknown subject at the Lexington Park attempting to block the caller from leaving. The suspect vehicle was last seen heading southbound on US 77 in Lexington.  Reserve Deputy Terpstra checked area and was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

17:22 - A caller reported cattle in the roadway on CR 424 at the Railroad tracks in Dime Box.  Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown responded and were unable to locate any loose cattle.

22:59 - A caller reported cattle out on SH 21 near CR 440.  Cpl. West responded and secured the cattle on property off of CR 440.

 

January 8, 2023

08:30 - A call was received with the complainant reported being harassed.  Sgt. Strouth responded and took information.  The investigation is on-going.

08:55 - A call was received reporting cattle on the complainant's property on CR 424 belonging to someone else and the complainant not know who the owner of the cattle might be.  Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Hilmo responded.  The Deputies located the possible owner of the cattle; however, the owners were not home. The owner's information was recorded and additional attempts to contact the owner will be conducted.

10:25 - A call was received requesting EMS to a location on Giddings Street.  Sgt. Strouth, Deputy J. Brown, Deputy Haman, Deputy J. Hilmo and EMS responded.

11:55 - A caller requested to speak to a Deputy regarding an abandoned vehicle on their property.  Deputy J. Brown made contact with the caller.

12:19 - A 911 call was received on 3rd Street in Lexington requesting EMS. Deputy J. Brown and EMS responded.  A subject was transported to the hospital.

14:45- A complainant came into the Sheriff's Office to speak with a deputy regarding stolen property. Sgt. Strouth responded and met with the complainant. A report was taken. 

14:55- A complainant came into the Sheriff's Office to speak with a deputy regarding maintenance and safety issues at his apartment on Westwood Lane. Deputy J. Brown responded and met with the complainant.

15:18 - The Bastrop County Sheriff's Office reported a possible fire on US 290 near Friendship Lane.  Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Hilmo responded and checked area.  No fire or smoke was located.

20:02 - A caller reported a reckless driver on US 77 South outside of Giddings.  Cpl. West responded. The reckless vehicle was not located. Cpl. West stopped with a vehicle which had a flat tire.

21:05 - A caller reported a dead dear in the roadway on SH 21 just east of Bubbas.  Sgt. Young and Deputy Rodriguez responded and cleared roadway.

23:25 - A caller reported cattle out on SH 21 near CR 440.  Sgt. Young and Deputy Rodriguez responded.  The cattle were secured on property north of CR 400.
