November 21, 2022

0832 - Sgt. Young attempted to serve civil papers on Harry Street.  The officer was unable to make contact.

0909 - A call was received about a vehicle running through a fence and left the scene.  Sgt. Young responded.  A report was taken.

1007 - Sgt. Young notified owner of cows out on CR430.  Assistance was requested to pick up the livestock as the gate was locked.

1040 - A 911 call was received about a physical altercation at a residence on FM696.  No weapons were involved.  All SO units responded and upon arrival, the parties were separated.

1418 - Cpl. West responded to a call about an abandoned vehicle on CR118 just past AJ's. The vehicle was red tagged and a report was taken.

1847 - A call was received to report a cow out on CR133.  Sgt. Strouth responded but was unable to locate any livestock.

 

November 22, 2022

0725 - A call was received reporting a cow out on CR114 near Silver Spur Ranch. Sgt. Young responded reporting a length of damaged fence where the livestock were getting out. The owner was notified. The Sheriff's Office contacted the commissioner to see if Loose Livestock signs could be displayed until the fence is fixed.

0810 - Sgt. Young served civil papers on Harry Street.

0907 - Sgt. Young secured loose goats on the corner of CR306 and CR309.

0945 - Cpl. West responded to a call about cows in a bar ditch on Hwy 141 just before CR119 but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1050 - A call was received for assistance with harassment.  Sgt. Young responded.

1630 - Cpl. West met with an individual at the Sheriff's Office about stolen property.

1803 - A reckless driver was reported on Hwy 21 E in Dime Box.  Sgt. Strouth responded.  A traffic stop was made and everything was ok.

1814 - A 911 call was received requesting EMS.  Dpt. Haman responded.  Patient refused transport and everything was ok.

1831 - A reckless driver was reported on Hwy 77 N heading south.  Deputy Brown responded.  A traffic stop was made and citation issued.

1842 - A call was received about a vehicle travelling with no tail lights on Hwy 21 near CR426.  All units were notified but not in area or were on calls.

2219 - Sgt. Strouth responded to a call to report a motorhome was broken down in the roadway on Hwy 21 just west of FM1624. Wrecker service was unavailable.  All units took turns sitting with the vehicle until morning when further sources were contacted.

2221 - An injured horse was reported on CR411 about 3 to 4 miles from Hwy 77. Deputy Haman responded.  Animal was located and but was unable to make contact with the owner. A case was created for animal abuse.

0443 - Deputy Brown initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy 290 near PR 2902. A probable cause search was conducted.  Sgt. Strouth also responded.  Citations were issued and everything was ok.

 

November 23, 2022

0919 - A call was received reporting a child in the middle of the road on FM180 north of FM1697. Sgt. Holloway and Deputies Turner and Dudley responded. The mother of the child arrived. There were no signs of abuse.

1008 - A single vehicle accident was reported on Hwy 21 West of Hwy 77. Lee County EMS, Lincoln and Giddings FD were paged out to the scene. Deputies Dudley, Stem and Brown were dispatched to assist as well as a Trooper to take the crash report.

1325 - A welfare check request was received on an individual who had not been seen since Wednesday of last week. No response was received by phone, text or email. Sgt. Holloway and Deputies Turner and Dudley responded and made contact with subject, who was ok.

1450 - A caller reported being involved in a two vehicle accident on FM696 near Sherrill Lane. Both subjects were out of the vehicles. Squad 1, Lee County EMS and Blue VFD were paged to the scene. A wrecker service was notified to remove the vehicles. A DPS Trooper took the crash report.

1612 - Metal scraps were reported in the middle of the roadway on Hwy 290 Ease of Giddings on the eastbound side. SOR Brown responded and removed the metal scraps from the roadway.

1715 - A subject came into the Sheriff's Office to update Sex Offender Registry.

1911 - A reckless driver was reported on Hwy 21 heading eastbound in Lincoln.  All units were notified.

1923 - A reckless driver was reported on Hwy 290 going into town.  Driver tried to run caller off of the road. Deputy Dickerson responded and was unable to locate driver.

2117 - A 911 call was received about a verbal disturbance near CR107. The parties were separated and everything was ok.

0036 - The Jail requested assistance from a Deputy to help secure a violent inmate. Deputy Dickerson and Giddings PD responded and secured the inmate.

0308 - Giddings PD requested assistance with a suspicious vehicle on E Hempstead and Hwy 290.  The subject was unconscious but the vehicle was still running. Deputy Dickerson was responding but call was cancelled.

A total of 12 traffic stops were conducted.

 

November 24, 2022

0831 - Deputy Dudley checked on an abandoned vehicle on FM180 near FM1697. The vehicle was parked off of the road and Deputy Dudley returned later to red tag the vehicle.

0948 - A report about cows out on FM1697 west of FM180. Deputy Dudley travelled to FM1697 from FM141 to FM180 but could not locate any loose livestock.

1012 - Sgt. Holloway red tagged a vehicle.

1143 - Two horses were reported out on Fm2239 near CR208. Deputy Turner located the animals and was able to secure them in a gated property on Private Road 6021. Contact with the owner was made.

1434 - Sgt. Holloway assisted Giddings PD with an accident on Orange Street.

1756 - An ambulance was requested on Private Road 6016. Lee County EMS was dispatched and requested a deputy and a JP to the scene. Sgt. Jones and Deputy Dickerson responded and a report was taken. Phillips and Luckey were notified.

1808 - A call was received to report a cow out on FM141 near CR116.  Sgt. Holloway responded but could not locate any loose livestock.

2044 - A call was received to report a cow out on CR305.  Sgt. Jones was notified but caller was able to secure the cow.

0908 - Life 360 reported a crash on FM112 near CR314. Sgt. Jones and Deputy Dickerson responded but no vehicles were located in that area.

2306 - A caller reported that a deer was hit and the car was no longer drivable. No injuries were reported by the driver. Deputy Dickerson responded.

2308 - A call was received to report a cow out on FM141. Sgt. Jones was responding but caller advised the cow ran off into the woods.

0040 - A vehicle in a ditch was reported on Hwy 290 west and was possibly in an accident. Sgt. Jones responded and found a vehicle in the area that was unoccupied and secure. The vehicle contained several open containers.

0111 - Sgt. Jones and Deputy Dickerson assisted a motorist with a tire change.

0225 - Allsafe reported an alarm on CR235.  Deputy Dickerson and Sgt. Jones responded.  The gate was secure and no vehicles were around.

0528 - A motorist reported a cow out on FM141.  Sgt. Holloway responded to the area.

0540 - Sgt. Jones checked on a vehicle in a ditch on FM1624 at the Yegua.  All was ok.  The driver stopped and the vehicle slid into the ditch.  The driver contacted assistance to pull the vehicle out.

A total of 16 traffic stops were conducted.

 

November 25, 2022

0758 - A 911 call was received about two aggressive dogs on a property. Cpl. West responded.

0800 - A call was received to report cows out on FM141 North of Giddings about ¼ miles south of CR119. Sgt. Young responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

0928 - Cpl. West checked on an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 21.

1239 - A call was received requesting to meet with a deputy at the Sheriff's office to file a report pertaining to a domestic argument and custody of a child. Sgt. Young met with the caller.

1325 - Loose goats were reported on Hwy 21 about 7/10 mile past Hwy 77.  Sgt. Young responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1445 - A call was received reporting neighbors cows out on the caller's property. The caller did not know how to contact the owner and requested a deputy's assistance. Sgt. Young responded. Assistance with removing the livestock would arrive the next day as not enough light was left in the day.

1515 - Cpl. West responded to unlock a vehicle in the Woodson Lumber parking lot in Lexington. The vehicle was unlocked.

1705 - All units responded to a call at a residence involving two individuals, one being locked out of the house and the other subject threatening to use a firearm.

1806 - A civil standby was requested at Private Road 7708 so belongings could be removed from a residence. Deputies Brown and Haman responded. Subject was able to obtain the property.

1847 - Multiple callers advised of a longhorn in the roadway on Hwy 21 east of Hwy 77.  Sgt. Strouth responded and cleared the livestock from the roadway.

2123 - Dispatch received a silent 911 call that pinged on Turner Lane.  Deputy Haman responded but was unable to locate anyone at that residence.

2128 - Sgt. Strouth advised of debris in the roadway on Hwy 21 near CR402.  The roadway was cleared.

2200 - Multiple callers reported a semi-truck with the trailer doors open that was dropping crates in the roadway.  Deputy Haman and a DPS trooper responded but were unable to locate the semi.  The roadway was cleared.

A total of 16 traffic stops were conducted.

 

November 26, 2022

0845 - An off-duty Giddings PD called in a suspicious male on CR205.  Giddings PD searched the area but was unable to locate the subject.

1010 - Multiple calls reporting a cow out on CR141 North of Giddings and CR116. Cpl. West responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1120 - Cpl. West attempted a civil service on W Independence Street in Giddings.  Contact was unable to be made.

1125 - A call was received to report cows out on CR133 between CR133 and Globe Hill Church.  Sgt. Young responded and livestock was secured.

1202 - A warehouse motion sensor alarm was ringing while the owner was out of town.  Sgt. Young and Cpl. West responded and everything was secure.

1205 - RESV Terpstra assisted a disabled motorist with changing a tire on Hwy 21 near Bubba's Truck Stop.  The motorist was able to return to the road.

1217 - Blue FD requested assistance with traffic control on a bobtail that was almost turned over.  RESV Terpstra responded.

1222 - A report about aggressive dogs killing a cat and causing vehicle damage.  Sgt. Young responded and a report was taken.

1235 - A call was received about a stray dog. Contact could not be made with the neighbors so the stray was posted with the Lee County Lost and Found Facebook page. Owner was located and animal was returned home.

1337 - RESV Deputy Terpstra checked on an abandoned car on Hwy 77 South of FM1624. The vehicle was in the lane of travel and was a traffic hazard.  A wrecker was requested.

1520 - A call was received about a suspicious vehicle caught on a game camera at the end of a driveway and the caller was out of town at the time. RESV Deputy Terpstra responded.  Vehicle was not blocking driveway and appears to have had a blowout.

1530 - Giddings PD called to pass on that a suspicious male was sitting by the mobile homes for the Altman employees.  Sgt. Young and Cpl. West responded. A courtesy ride was given to the Texaco Travel plaza on Hwy 290. The subject would not exit Sgt. Young's vehicle so he was brought to the Sheriff's Office.  A family member picked the subject up.

1937 - A call to report a missing/runaway female was received. Sgt. Strouth, Deputy Brown and a DPS trooper responded. All units checked the area and the juvenile was located on CR329. Deputy Haman transported the juvenile to Georgetown Behavioral Health.  A case was created.

2045 - Burleson County advised of a reckless driver on Hwy 21 heading west.  All units were notified but were not available at that time.

2138 - A reckless driver was reported on Hwy 21 near Bubba's. A DPS trooper responded and located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

2306 - A noise complaint was called in from CR133.  Loud music was being played for a few hours. Deputy Brown responded.  Upon the deputy's arrival, the music had been turned down and guests were leaving.

0029 - A nurse at Seton Bastrop called to request a welfare check on another nurse who was on call but not responding. Deputies Haman and Brown responded and made contact with the subject and advised her to contact the hospital.

A total of 19 traffic stops were conducted.

 

November 27, 2022

0920 - A call was received about an injured dog laying in the ditch for 2 to 3 days and was laying in water. Cpl. West responded.

0937 - Cpl. West reported a calf out on FM141 and was able to secure it.

1116 - A caller stated his neighbor's cows were still on his property. Assistance and Sgt. Young responded but were unable to locate any loose livestock on the property.

1400 - Several calls reporting a child walking down FM180 again. A welfare check was requested after the mother picked up the child. This had been reported numerous times this month and the child has also been walking down the highway. Sgt. Young and Cpl. West responded.

1555 - Sgt. Young checked on an abandoned vehicle. Owner took possession of the vehicle.

1643 - Security at 3 Oaks Mine called in a suspicious vehicle. Sgt. Ray responded and took 3 subjects into custody and transported to Sheriff's Office.

1808 - Multiple calls reporting a 2 vehicle accident on Hwy 21 near Elm Creek RV Park.  Vehicles were not blocking the roadway and only minor injuries were reported. A DPS trooper, Deputy Brown, Lee County EMS and Lincoln VFD were notified. A crash report was taken.

1835 - Deputy Haman advised of a vehicle in a ditch on FM696. The vehicle was removed.

1947 - Deputy Strouth advised of a disabled vehicle on FM448 down from the Sheriff's Office. Another vehicle was on the scene assisting.

2215 - Sgt. Strouth assisted a motorist on Hwy 290 near CR205.

2243 - A DPS Trooper advised of a traffic stop on Hwy 77 South of CR327. Sgt. Strouth assisted. Driver was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a case was created.

2353 - Deputy Brown responded to a call pertaining to information received about a child molesting in Williamson County two years ago. A report was taken and a case was created.

0344 - All county units assisted Giddings PD with a subject at the Giddings RV Park possibly under the influence of drugs. The subject attempted to strike an officer with his vehicle and drove to the back of the park to hide. Units were able to locate and identify the subject and take him into custody to be booked in the Lee County Sheriff's Office jail. A case was created.

A total of 19 traffic stops were conducted.
