4/15/2024

Deputy assisted wrecker with traffic control at Hwy 77/CR 329 while a vehicle was recovered.

Deputies responded to CR 118 on a report of a male subject riding a bicycle with a rifle. Deputies located two individuals, all okay.

Deputy met complainant at the office to take information of on-going civil matter.

Deputy met complainant at the office to issue a criminal trespass.

Caller reported a fire on a train at CR 117/CR 110. Deputies and Giddings Fire made location.

Deputies investigated an assault that occurred on Nursery Dr. Evidence gathered and report taken for further investigation.

Deputy met with a complainant at the office for a criminal trespass.

Deputy responded to an address on 6th St. on a report of a male subject who was not wanted on the property.

Dispatch received report of a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 290/CR 233. Deputies, GVFD, and LCEMS responded to the scene.

 

4/16/2024

Deputy responded to CR 307 on a report of burglary of a building. Investigation and report taken.

Sheriff, Chief Deputy, and Deputies responded to Hwy 290 East and Hwy 77 South to be on the lookout for stolen tractor/trailer out of Fayette County.

Deputy responded to Dime Box school on a juvenile matter.

Motorist reported a one vehicle crash Hwy 290 West. Deputy, GVFD, and LCEMS responded.

Deputies assisted GPD with traffic control on Hwy 77 South.

Deputy stopped in LCSO parking lot to check on a male subject. Said male subject became aggressive and confrontational. The male subject was arrested and walked over to the Lee County Jail.

Deputy responded to verbal disturbance on FM 1697. The disturbance turned physical while deputies were enroute. One female was arrested for assault family violence and booked into Lee County Jail.

Motorist reported a vehicle parked in the middle of Hwy 77 North/Milam County line shortly after midnight. Deputies arrived and located the driver of said vehicle, who was arrested for intoxication and booked into Lee County Jail.

Deputy assisted GPD search for a male subject who was threatening convenience store employees.

 

4/17/2024

Deputy responded to Lexington for a crisis intervention. LPD transported individual to an out-of-county facility for treatment.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 290 West. Deputies and Troopers responded and located the vehicle and driver. Driver was arrested and booked into Lee County Jail on Harris County warrant.

Deputies responded to CR 107 for a crisis intervention.

Complainant reported reckless driving on Clark Ln. Deputy located the driver and warned against the consequences of such driving.

Deputies assisted GPD with active disturbance at 400 Block of W. Austin St.

Deputies assisted LPD with impaired driver investigation on Cherry Dr.

At about 2:30am, Dispatch received report of a white truck with horse trailer parked on FM 112/CR 314 without any lights on. Deputies arrived to find said vehicle/trailer in the middle of the roadway. The driver was identified and was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

 

4/18/2024

Deputy assisted stranded motorist with traffic control on FM 141/S curve until a wrecker arrived.

Deputy spoke with a caller from CR 127 on a report of theft.

Motorist requested help with a flat tire on her loaded horse trailer. Deputies responded to CR 220 to provide assistance.

SO Bastrop County transferred report of single vehicle crash on Hwy 290/CR 202. Sergeant arrived to investigate and make crash report.

Deputies assisted motorist with tire change at truck stop in Dime Box.

 

4/19/2024

Complainant reported burglary of vehicle on CR 145. Deputy responded to investigate and report.

Complainant reported burglary of vehicle on FM 448. Deputy responded to investigate and report.

Complainant reported two unauthorized use of vehicles from a residence on CR 309. Deputies responded to investigate and enter vehicles as stolen.

Complainant reported burglary of vehicle on CR 107. Deputy responded to investigate.

Complainant reported burglary of vehicles on FM 696 West. Deputy responded to investigate.

Motorist reported three young children walking on FM 141. Deputy, Sheriff, and GPD responded. The children were given rides to school.

SO Burleson County called to report a stolen semi-truck from a business in Caldwell, headed westbound. Sheriff, Deputies, and LPD patrolled SH 21; but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Motorist reported a pipe fell off a semi-truck and struck her vehicle. Sergeant responded to make crash report.

Chief Deputy and Constable Pct. 2 removed bull from roadway at FM 141/CR 116.

Deputies responded to a crisis intervention on CR 302. Individual transported to out-of-county facility for treatment.

Deputy met with complainant at the office for an identity theft investigation.

Motorist reported a trailer in the roadway on CR 333. Deputies responded and found it be a trailer that was reported stolen earlier that morning. Trailer recovered and released to owner.

Dispatch received report of a stabbing in the 400 Block of Biscayne St. Deputies, Investigators, and Constable Pct. 2 responded to assist GPD.

Caller requested to speak with Deputy regarding a trailer stolen in 2018. Deputy called the complainant with no answer.

Deputies assisted GPD with disturbance on S. Navarro.

Deputies conducted traffic control at the conclusion of sheriff's posse rodeo.

Trooper requested back-up at Hwy 290 East/FM 180 with subject resisting. Deputies and Constable Pct. 2 responded to assist.

CID Sergeant received information of stolen vehicle location on CR 309. Deputies responded to investigate and recover confirmed stolen vehicle.

Complainant reported a SUV with multiple occupants shining flashlights toward a house on CR 343. CID Sergeant and Sheriff responded to investigate. The parties were located, identified, and released as no offense was committed.

Deputy responded to convenience store in Lexington at the request of the store clerk. One suspicious male subject was located after being dropped from an Uber driver.

Motorist reported his semi-truck had broken down at FM 180/CR 119. Deputy and Trooper responded to assist with moving the vehicle from the roadway.

 

4/20/2024

Deputy met complainant at the office for a theft report. A pistol was reported stolen. Report made.

Deputy assisted Trooper with traffic stop/vehicle search on Hwy 290 West/CR 201.

Caller reported gunfire in the 2000 Block of CR 309. Deputy patrolled the area but did not hear any additional gunfire.

Dispatch received 911 call reporting a single vehicle crash into the guardrail on Hwy 290 East. Deputy, Trooper, GVFD, and LCEMS responded to the scene.

Caller reported a single vehicle crash on SH 21/CR 402. Caller reported a gun, and a bag were thrown out by the driver. Deputy, Trooper, DBVFD, and LCEMS responded to the scene. A male subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Motorist reported tree down on FM 1697. Sergeant and TxDOT responded to clear the roadway.

Caller reported a vehicle hydroplaned on Hwy 290 East. Deputy and Trooper responded along with GVFD. It was discovered the crash occurred in Fayette County.

Motorist reported witnessed a pickup truck run an 18-wheeler off the roadway on SH 21/CR 453. Deputy responded to the scene to investigate and called for a wrecker.

Deputy responded to CR 326 for suspicious activity. Deputy met with the reporting party and the information was taken.

Motorist reported a tree blocking the roadway at FM 112/CR 315. LPD conducted traffic control until a Deputy arrived. TxDOT was called to the scene.

Deputy was summoned to residence on Mossy Oaks Ln. in regard to a juvenile matter.

Complainant reported loud music from a residence on CR 230. Deputy responded but was unable to locate the noise disturbance.

Sheriff and Deputies assisted with traffic control at conclusion of sheriff's posse rodeo.

Deputy located a vehicle blocking the roadway in the 5500 Block of Hwy 77 North. Wrecker was summoned to remove the vehicle.

Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a large structure fire on FM 3403. Deputy responded along with DBVFD. The house was fully involved, Lincoln VFD was paged out for mutual aid. The owner of the property was notified of the situation.

Deputy traveled to Smithville Hospital to provide transport for inmate back to Lee County Jail.

 

4/21/2024

Deputy responded to N. Montgomery St. to perform a requested welfare check. All okay.

Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a small shed on fire at 4100 Hwy 290 East. Deputies responded along with GVFD and LCEMS. Deputies assisted in evacuating neighbors.

SO Fayette County requested a welfare check on individuals who were involved in a rolling disturbance on CR 209. Deputy responded to make contact.

Complainant reported her spouse was chasing her in another vehicle on SH 21. Caller reported that the chase ended at the Burleson County line. Information documented by Deputy.

Motorist reported a tree hanging low over roadway at FM 141/CR 430. TxDOT was notified.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle driving very slowly on CR 117. Deputy responded and located the vehicle and made contact with the occupants.

Motorist reported a tree limb blocking roadway on FM 448. TxDOT was notified.

Sergeant was conducting a close patrol at a convenience store on SH 21 when an employee flagged him down to report a suspicious person. Sergeant remained on premises until close.

Dispatch received automatic crash detection in the 4100 Block of FM 696 West. Deputy and Trooper responded to find a vehicle vs. deer crash.

 

Lee County Deputies conducted 66 traffic stops for violations during this reporting period.

 

We remind all of our citizens to remain vigilant and alert of suspicious vehicles/persons with the recent rash of vehicle burglaries in our various communities.
