01/15/2024

Deputy removed roadway debris on Hwy 77/Fayette County line.

Deputy spoke with an individual on CR 118 regarding a civil matter.

Sergeant spoke with an individual on Westwood Lane regarding a civil matter.

Caller reported that his fence was hit on FM 141. Deputy responded to investigate.

One vehicle crash vs. cow reported on CR 114. Deputy and Trooper responded.

Deputy provided courtesy ride to disabled motorist on CR 127/FM 180.

Deputy responded to a requested welfare check on a female without heat. All okay.

 

01/16/2024

Deputy checked abandoned vehicle at SH 21/CR 113.

Deputy checked abandoned vehicle 2300 blk SH 21.

Caller reported puppies abandoned in their driveway on FM 696 W. Caller would find a home.

Caller had dogs caught in a live trap that had been attacking their livestock on FM 141.

911 caller reported a suspicious female came into their house speaking Spanish. The female then got into a GMC vehicle and drove away. Deputy and Trooper responded to the area, where the vehicle was located and stopped on CR 224. A male subject was arrested for DWI and the female was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked at the intersection of Ave. E/Dickson St. Deputies responded to the area, but the caller advised the vehicle had already left.

 

01/17/2024

Caller reported a scam. Someone claiming to be a relative contacted a family member asking for $98,000 for an attorney. Sergeant investigated and determined this to be a scam.

Deputies attempted warrant service at PR 8022. One subject arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Deputies assisted Lexington PD and jailers with a combative inmate.

Sergeant responded to FM 141 to assist an individual.

Travis County Medical Examiner's Office notified the sheriff's office for a death notification. Deputies made the family notification.

Caller on FM 696 West reported family member attacked by neighbor's dog. Deputy responded to investigate.

Deputy responded to assist LCEMS on a scene Hwy 77 South.

Caller from 8000 blk of Hwy 77 North reported a male subject yelling at a clerk working the register. Deputy responded to investigate.

Caller requested welfare check on a red car on SH 21/CR 401. Deputy responded to find that the motorist was out of fuel. Deputy provided a courtesy ride.

 

01/18/2024

Caller reported a white 90's model Ford F-250 spinning out in the gravel pit on CR 133. Giddings PD located the vehicle on Globe Hill Road. Deputies made contact with the driver.

Caller reported a vehicle ran thru their fence on CR 217. Deputy responded to make a report.

Deputy responded to PR 7044 to meet with individuals about two dogs fighting. Report made.

Deputies, Troopers, LCEMS, Lincoln & Giddings VFDs responded to a reported two vehicle crash on SH 21 West. Crash report taken by DPS.

Deputy and GPD officer responded to 5000 blk Hwy 290 East for a caller wanting an individual off their property. Subject was gone upon arrival.

Deputies conducted 30 traffic enforcement contacts.

 

01/19/2024

Chief Deputy received a phone call in regard to loose livestock on CR 103. The cows were located and returned to pasture.

Deputy checked on disabled motorist on FM 696 West.

Deputy spoke with a caller regarding a civil matter.

Complainant on PR 8002 reported the lock cut on his gate and his bull missing. Sergeant and Special Ranger with TSCRA are investigating.

Caller reported he was in an ATV crash on his property off of CR 108. Deputies responded to investigate and LCEMS was summoned to the scene. One subject transported for medical.

Caller reported a possible break-in at property on CR 118. Deputies and GPD officers arrived to find a family member of the property owner. All okay.

Caller requested a welfare check on her daughter at CR 331. Deputies responded and all was okay.

Caller from Trailside Dr. requested resources for mental health for a family member. Deputy spoke with caller and provided resources.

While on close patrol, a diligent Deputy located a storage unit with a busted lock on FM 696 West. Deputy left message for the owner to determine if a burglary occurred or not.

Deputy notified dispatch of a damaged TXDOT sign on FM 696 West. TXDOT notified.

 

01/20/2024

Caller on CR 118 reported rapid-fire shots in the area. Sergeant responded and located duck hunters.

Sergeant responded to assist with a vehicle unlock on Hwy 77 North in Lexington.

Deputy located additional busted locks at storage units on FM 696 West. Message left for the owner of the units. Report taken. Close patrol in effect.

Caller reported his trailer stolen to Schulenburg PD and reported it was pinging on CR 430. Trailer was recovered and returned to the owner. Report taken.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on N. Ellis St. as GPD were on other calls. Parties separated without incident.

 

01/21/2024

Caller reported illegal dumping on CR 304A. Sergeant responded to investigate, and evidence was recovered. Report taken.

Caller reported damaged mailboxes on CR 226. Deputy responded to investigate, and evidence was recovered. Report taken.

Caller reported hunting on public grounds on CR 430 and one of his dogs was shot with an arrow. A white truck was seen leaving the area. Report taken.

Citizen came to the office to meet with a Deputy to renew a criminal trespass warning.

Deputy responded to check welfare of cows that were reported on CR 332. Animals had hay and water.

Deputies assisted GPD with a disturbance on Wells Cv.

Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on SH 21 East/CR 404. Deputies, LCEMS, and DBVFD responded to the scene. Patients transported by EMS. Crash report taken.
