01/01/2024

Motorist reported a one vehicle crash vs. deer at 3900 Blk Hwy 77. Sergeant responded to assist.

Caller requested to speak with a Deputy regarding a civil matter.

Medical facility notified Dispatch of an animal bite victim. Information taken.

Sergeant assisted with a vehicle unlock on S. Williamson St.

Caller reported a noise disturbance at Hwy 77/CR 417. Deputies located the source.

Caller reported his ex-wife was intoxicated at his residence. Sergeant spoke with the caller.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle 5600 Hwy 290 East. Deputy located the vehicle and made contact with the driver. All okay.

Bastrop CO SO reported a reckless driver on Hwy 290 coming into Lee County. Sergeant located the vehicle and made contact with the tired traveler, who was advised to rest.

 

01/02/2024

Deputy checked a smoke report on North County Line Rd. All okay.

Deputy arrested a male subject with an outstanding out-of-county warrant and transported to Lee County Jail.

Deputy responded to investigate dogs that had been seen attacking calves on CR 309.

Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on SH 21 East/CR 426.

Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on Hwy 77 North near CR 135.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance on Giddings St. Parties separated.

Motorist reported a one vehicle crash vs. cow on Hwy 77 North near CR 327.

 

01/03/2024

Caller requested to speak with a Deputy regarding a civil matter.

Sheriff met with a complainant to take a report of a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 77 near Lexington. Report taken.

Sergeant checked a suspicious vehicle parked at a business at Hwy/SH 21. All okay.

 

01/04/2024

Caller reported neighbor's dogs killing his sheep. Sergeant and Deputies responded to investigate.

Caller requested to speak with a Deputy regarding a civil matter.

Caller reported a traffic hazard on CR 304 involving the pipeline crew. Sergeant responded to handle the matter.

Caller reported a coyote entangled in a fence on FM 141 and requested the help of a Deputy. Sergeant responded to the location and the coyote was dispatched.

Captain and Deputies responded to assist GPD with traffic control for an auto/pedestrian crash on S. Main St. in Giddings.

 

01/05/2024

Caller requested to speak with a Deputy regarding two dogs.

Sergeant responded to CR 111 to check a suspicious vehicle. All okay.

Motorist reported a vehicle the crashed into a semi on SH 21 East/CR 400.

Caller requested law enforcement to Yegua St. in Lexington and hung-up. Deputies and Pct. 2 Constable responded. Parties were separated after a verbal disturbance.

Caller reported numerous individuals having a bonfire on his property on CR 121. Deputies made contact with individuals who had permission to be there.

 

01/06/2024

Caller reported her son had assaulted her on CR 430. Deputies responded to the scene and arrested a male subject for Assault Family Violence. Suspect was transported to Lee County Jail.

Deputy made a traffic stop on FM 141, where the female driver gave a false name. Female was arrested following an investigation for Possession of Controlled Substance and Fail to ID.

 

01/07/2024

Motorist requested a welfare check on a male subject on foot on SH 21. Deputy located the individual at SH 21/FM 2440. All okay.

Deputies assisted with a crisis intervention on CR F. Individual transported to an out-of-county facility to treatment.

Resident reported that she was locked out of her apartment and her child was inside. Deputies responded to assist.

Deputies handled 25 loose livestock calls.

 

It's never a bad idea to call dispatch (979-542-2800) to report your controlled burns. Our Dispatchers keep a log which helps our VFD's and our Deputies.
