12/18/2023

Caller from PR 1033 requested to speak with a Deputy regarding mail theft. Info and report taken.

Sheriff and Deputy assisted with traffic control on Hwy 77/CR 135 for a stranded truck that was blocking the roadway.

Caller requested a Deputy to Walnut St. for a trespass issue. Deputies met with the complainant but the person to serve was not located.

Deputy, SLCVFD, WVFD, and GVFD responded to a structure fire on PR 4488.

 

12/19/2023

Caller reported damaged mailboxes along FM 141. Deputy responded to investigate.

Deputies, Constables Pct. 2, Pct. 3, Pct. 4, DBVFD, LVFD, LCEMS responded to a structure fire on SH 21 E.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance on Hwy 290 E. Parties were separated.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on CR 309. Same caller later reported theft of mail. Deputy responded to investigate both reports.

Trooper reported a suspect vehicle fled on Hwy 290 near FM 180, east bound. Deputies assisted but the pursuing Trooper lost sight of the vehicle at the County line.

 

12/20/2023

Caller reported a suspicious person parked in a vehicle on CR 326. Deputy and LCEMS responded to the scene, where the driver was transported for treatment.

Deputies assisted an individual with a crisis intervention. Resources for further help were shared with the family.

Wanted male subject surrendered himself at the sheriff's office. Deputy booked the individual into Lee County Jail.

Another wanted male subject surrendered himself at the sheriff's office. Deputy booked this individual into Lee County Jail.

 

12/21/2023

Deputies responded to a reported physical disturbance on Hwy 77 S. Parties were separated and one male subject was transported to Lee County Jail on an out-of-county warrant.

Motorist reported a youth walking down the side of Hwy 290 W at 7:20 a.m. Chief Deputy McCoy and Trooper McCoy located the youth, who had missed the school bus. Chief McCoy made sure the young man arrived to school on-time via courtesy ride.

Motorist reported a crash on FM 448 at Rabb's Creek. Deputy and Trooper responded to investigate.

 

12/22/2023

Deputies responded to assist an individual with a crisis intervention.

Caller from CR 223 reported fence damage. Sergeant responded to investigate.

Caller from Hwy 290 E reported a female came into the business stating that she was followed from Austin. Three Hispanic male subjects then entered the business and stated they were looking for something; before quickly leaving. Photos were taken of the suspect vehicle. Report taken.

Business owner on CR 217 called to request a Deputy for a female subject who was causing problems. Deputy and Trooper responded and issued a trespass warning to the individual.

 

12/23/2023

Deputies and Lexington PD responded to a disturbance. The parties were separated.

Sergeant located and assisted a disabled motorist on CR 430. Vehicle was pushed off the roadway by the Deputy and motorist.

Deputies, LPD, Trooper, LVFD and LCEMS responded to a one vehicle crash on Hwy 77 in Lexington.

Deputies, Trooper, LCEMS, and GVFD responded to a one vehicle crash at Hwy 290/FM 180.

Sergeant initiated a traffic stop on CR 410/CR 409. After investigation, the driver was found to be intoxicated; and was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

 

12/24/2023

Citizen reported a suspicious vehicle blocking the roadway on CR 101. Deputy investigated and had the vehicle towed for blocking traffic.

Caller reported a one vehicle crash in the 440 Block of Hwy 77 N. Deputy and Trooper responded to investigate.

Citizen on PR 8050 reported an 18-wheeler ran over his mailbox. Deputy responded to investigate.

Deputy assisted Trooper with a traffic stop on Hwy 290 W. Two arrestees were transported to Lee County Jail.

Deputies were invited and attended a local Church Christmas program.

Motorist reported a two-vehicle crash at SH 21/FM 1624. Deputy and Troopers responded to investigate.

Deputy advised that a vehicle was attempting to evade a traffic stop. The vehicle continued to flee before crashing thru a fence at Hwy 77 N/CR 135, with two white/male subjects running on foot. All County units, DPS Troopers, and Pct. 2 Constable responded. One suspect was located in the woods courtesy of Constable Gonzales' thermal imaging device. The officers and suspect were loaded into the back of Sheriff Durrenberger's patrol truck and transported back to the scene. The second suspect was located a short time later walking on FM 1624. The duo was transported to Lee County Jail.

Motorist reported a two-vehicle crash at SH 21/CR 327. Deputies, Troopers, Lincoln VFD and LCEMS responded to the scene.

 

There were too many loose livestock calls to count. Deputies will be conducting close patrols for the reports of mail theft from rural areas. Please report suspicious persons and vehicles ASAP.

 

As we bring a close to the year 2023, I would like to commend our local law enforcement and public service agency partners for our great working relationships. This includes the wonderful support we enjoy from our citizens all over the County. We are stronger when we work together, as we all share a vested interest in the future of Lee County.
