12/11/2023

Deputies responded to the County Annex to assist an individual with a crisis intervention.

Caller requested help for a company that was working on his property without permission. Deputy responded and noted the water company was working within the easement.

Chief Deputy assisted with a civil stand-by on FM 448.

Deputy responded to Shady Oaks on a report of an abandoned vehicle blocking traffic. The vehicle was towed from the location.

Sergeant responded to Kay St. on a report of two males fighting after a verbal argument. Both parties were cited for fighting in public.

Deputy patrolled CR 205/207/208 for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputy was unable to locate the vehicle in the area.

Caller requested police to her residence on E. Hwy 290 for her neighbor stealing her phone. Deputies responded and the caller advised she did not need them.

Caller from FM 2440 requested assistance for her husband having a protective order. Sergeant confirmed there was no such order and everything was okay.

Citizen called 911 to report a disturbance on W. SH 21. Deputies arrived and noted that the parties were separated.

 

12/12/2023

Caller requested to speak with a Deputy regarding property along the Lee/Burleson County line involving loose livestock.

Complainant reported an online scam/identity theft. Deputy took a report.

Complainant reported several online accounts being opened in her name. Deputy took a report of identity theft.

Deputy assisted a mental health consumer with a crisis intervention on CR F.

Caller reported theft of hay bales from property on CR 108. Deputy gathered information for a Theft report.

 

12/13/2023

Deputies assisted a caller with a civil matter on W. Houston St.

Caller requested a vehicle unlock on CR 226. Deputy responded to assist.

Dispatch received reports of a two-vehicle crash on SH 21 between CR 401/404. Deputies, Troopers, LCEMS, DBVFD, and GVFD responded to work the scene. TXDOT and HAZMAT responded to clean the scene. Crash report taken by DPS.

 

12/14/2023

LPD reported a minor crash at SH 21. Deputy responded to investigate and make crash report.

Caller from Harry St. requested to speak with a Deputy about a criminal matter.

Deputies responded to PR 7716 for a civil matter. Parties were separated.

Caller reported that his family was stranded in the median on SH 21. Sergeant checked on the motorist and stood by for a wrecker service.

Sergeant checked a suspicious vehicle parked at a Church on SH 21 after midnight. All okay.

 

12/15/2023

Caller requested to know why there was a wide load on Hwy 77 and no one was informed about it.

Citizen reported not having received mail in three days. Deputy spoke with the citizen and went to the Post Office to check on things for the caller.

Dispatch received a 911 call of a two-vehicle crash on E. SH 21. Deputies, Troopers, LCEMS, and DBVFD responded to the scene. Bluebonnet was contacted for a damaged power pole. Crash worked by DPS.

Citizen reported that an unknown motorist ran thru his fence again. Close Patrol in effect.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on PR 6002. Upon investigation, the argument was verbal only and the parties were separated.

 

12/16/2023

Caller requested a welfare check on a male subject in a vehicle parked near FM 2239/CR 208. Deputy responded and made contact with the subject who was asleep and waiting on a friend to deliver a spare tire.

Caller reported a suspicious male subject walking on FM 141. Deputy checked on the individual who was walking to his friend's house.

Sergeant patrolled the Serbin area.

Deputy responded to a verbal disturbance where one of the subjects had already left. No offense.

Deputy assisted GPD with a mental health transport.

Sergeant transported an individual to an out-of-county facility for mental health treatment.

Deputy assisted LPD with a reported intoxicated driver who almost drove into a convenience store. Subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Citizen reported loud music in the area of CR 430. Deputy responded to patrol the area but was unable to locate the source.

Citizen reported loud music in the area of CR 103. Deputy responded and patrolled the area but was unable to locate the noise.

LCEMS requested law enforcement at the American Legion Hall on Hwy 77 S for an injured male. There was a large crowd there for an event. Later in the evening, Dispatch received 911 calls reporting a large crowd fighting with beer bottles being smashed on heads and possibly firearms involved. Deputies and Troopers responded to assist GPD officers with the call.

St. Joseph's ER Caldwell notified Dispatch of a male patient with a self-inflicted, accidental; gunshot wound to the hand. Deputies investigated the matter with no foul play suspected.

Citizen reported a male and a female riding bikes on CR 214. Caller stated the pair was setting up a tent on the side of road. Deputy responded to ensure that the duo was not trespassing.

Deputy made a traffic stop on Hwy 77 and the driver was found to have a warrant out of Dallas County. Subject arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

 

Lee County Deputies handled 24 loose livestock calls and conducted 85 traffic stops.

 

Jail Staff, Deputies, Troopers, GPD, and LPD assisted the Sheriff's Office with a surprise jail-wide shake down search. I appreciate everyone's assistance in ensuring that we operate a clean, safe, and compliant Lee County Jail.
