12/4/2023

Citizen reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence on CR 118. Deputy responded and found an abandoned vehicle with front wheel missing. Wrecker towed the vehicle.

Stranded motorist called 911 requesting assistance. Sergeant was in the area and stopped to help with a tire change.

Deputy traveled to Travis County to make an arrest on two felony warrants out of Lee County.

Complainant met with Sergeant at the office to file a report of a fraudulent document.

Citizen came by the office to make a scam report. Deputy collected the information.

Motorist reported a work light that was shining at traffic on Hwy 77 N. Sergeant responded to check on the hazard.

Deputy and Trooper responded to Hwy 290 West on a report of a vehicle that struck a cow. The driver was not located at the scene. Crash worked by DPS.

Sergeant checked on an oilfield location on FM 141 after midnight due to a citizen reporting noise. All okay.

Sergeant checked a suspicious vehicle parked behind a convenience store on SH 21. All okay.

Sergeant checked a suspicious vehicle parked at a restaurant on Hwy 77 N in Lexington. All okay.

Sergeant conducted a traffic stop on CR 405/Hwy 77 N. A probable cause search was conducted, and the driver was arrested for possession of marihuana and possession of controlled substance.

 

12/5/2023

Citizen reported catching two stray dogs on Hwy 290 W. Sergeant responded and located the owner and the dogs were returned.

Citizen reported missing packages from a residential address on PR 6013. Sergeant took information for a report.

Citizen from CR 302 called in to report identity theft. Captain took information for a report.

Citizen reported possible theft from a ranch in the county. Deputy took information for a report.

Captain met with two parties regarding a civil matter on CR 311.

Sergeant responded to CR 216 in regard to three stray dogs. The owner was not located, and the dogs were transported to the animal shelter.

Citizen from Hwy 290 W reported dogs attacking a young calf. Sergeant took information.

Deputy checked on an open gate at a business after 1:00am. All okay.

 

12/6/2023

Hospital called Dispatch to report a local dog bite victim. Deputy took information for report.

While on patrol, Deputy was notified of a child riding a skateboard on FM 696 E. Deputy patrolled the area but was unable to locate.

Citizen reported a suspicious vehicle parked at their gate. Deputies responded to the scene however the vehicle was gone upon arrival. Close patrol in effect.

Deputies and Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at SH 21/FM 141. DBVFD and LCEMS responded to assist as well. Crash investigated by DPS.

Deputies and Troopers responded to an 18-wheeler rollover on Hwy 77 N near SH 21. Lincoln VFD and LCEMS responded to assist. First responders worked traffic control for nearly eight hours until the scene could be cleaned up. LPD also assisted with traffic at Hwy 77/FM 3403.

 

12/7/2023

Caller reported being attacked by his son with a machete at their residence on CR 314. Sheriff, Deputies, Troopers, and LPD responded to the scene. Deputies located the suspect, and he was placed under arrest. Investigators assisted with the investigation.

Citizen reported a trailer detached from a truck and damaged his fence on CR 235. Sergeant responded to investigate and make crash report.

Citizen reported people walking his property at night. Deputies responded but no one was located. Close patrol in effect.

Sergeant took a report of credit card abuse from a citizen. Information taken for report.

Citizens reported mail theft on FM 696 W. Deputy responded to investigate and report.

Citizen reported loud music on PR 7003. Deputies responded and peace was restored.

 

12/8/2023

Caller requested a Deputy check a suspicious vehicle at the fairgrounds on Hwy 290 W. All okay.

Deputy responded to Tractor Supply to assist with a vehicle unlock.

Citizen on CR 404 called to speak with a Deputy regarding a civil matter.

Burleson CO SO requested assistance with a vehicle pursuit on SH 21. Deputies patrolled the area but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 77 N coming into Lexington. Deputy located and stopped the vehicle. All okay.

Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle at the Lexington ISD property after midnight. All okay.

 

12/9/2023

Deputy responded to the Sheriff's Posse Arena on Hwy 290 W to investigate a possible attempted burglary. Incident under investigation and close patrol is in effect.

Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on CR 326. Crash report taken.

Sergeant checked on an 18-wheeler that was blocking the roadway at Hwy 77/CR 327.

Caller reported that she was being kicked off the family property but refused to drive due to drinking. Deputy responded and provided a courtesy ride.

Sergeant spoke with a caller reporting harassment and credit card abuse. Information taken for report.

A security guard working at a dancehall on Hwy 77 N requested EMS for a five-year old male that fell. Deputies responded to ensure everything was okay.

Citizen reported a one-vehicle rollover crash on SH 21 W. Deputies, LCEMS, and GVFD responded to work the scene. Motorist and passengers were given a courtesy ride to their residence in Lincoln.

Deputies responded to an address on Old Nails Creek Rd on a report of a male subject attempting to overdose. Deputies handled the call until GPD had officers available.

Deputies were requested at a residence on Hwy 77 N on a report of a verbal disturbance. Parties separated.

 

12/10/2023

Caller requested a welfare check on her children at an address on PR 1112. Deputies responded to investigate.

Citizen reported a hay hauler crashed into their fence on FM 696 W. Deputy responded to investigate and report.

Complainant report stolen hay bales from PR 7010. Sergeant and Deputy responded to investigate and report.

Caller from Gary St. reported an assault. Caller reported a rock was thrown and his door was kicked. Deputies responded but the suspect was gone upon arrival. Under investigation.

Deputies conducted 92 traffic stops and responded for 10 reports of loose livestock for this reporting period.
