11/20/2023

Caller requested welfare check of juvenile son. Subject was located and returned to parents on CR 226.

Citizen reported a young child walking on FM 180 after dark. Deputies and Troopers responded and located a white male juvenile. At the same time, the father had called 9-1-1 to report his son missing. Juvenile returned to parent.

Sergeant checked on an open door at a convenience store in Dime Box. All okay.

Caller reported finding her juvenile daughter outside her residence with a juvenile male on CR 305. Male subject left with the daughter's phone. Deputies met with parents and the phone was returned.

 

11/21/2023

Caller requested welfare check of sister who lives on FM 1697. Deputy made contact with the sister who did not wish to speak to the reporting caller.

Complainant called to report a burglary at a residence on Westwood Ln. Deputy responded to investigate and make report.

Complainant called from out of state to report that he bought an online auction item from Lexington and had not received the item. Deputy spoke with caller to make a report.

Deputies and Troopers responded to a disturbance on Shady Oaks St. Determined to be verbal only. Parties separated.

Caller requested to speak with a Sergeant about a possible theft and civil matter.

Sergeant checked on an abandoned vehicle SH 21 E. Owner/driver was asleep. Courtesy ride provided.

 

11/22/2023

Citizen came in to speak with a Sergeant in regard to a civil matter.

Dispatch received a call from Seton Smithville advising of a citizen who was bitten by a cat. Information taken.

Deputy located a disabled vehicle on W. Austin St. near the railroad tracks. The driver was found to be asleep at the wheel. One male subject arrested for DWI and transported to Lee County Jail.

Deputies responded to disturbance on Gary St. where five people were involved. Parties were separated.

Dispatch received a 911 automated crash detection call pinging on CR 113. Deputies responded along with LCEMS, and the Lincoln/Giddings VFD's. Deputy detained one of the occupants and confirmed an outstanding warrant. Subject transported to hospital for medical clearance prior to being transported to Lee County Jail.

Caller reported a vehicle that drove off the roadway on CR 200. Giddings PD and Deputy responded. Vehicle was towed and the owner was notified.

 

11/23/2023

Caller reported a family disturbance between her cousin and mother. Deputies arrived to separate the involved parties.

Citizen requested a close patrol for a vehicle that was driving by their address several times. Deputies responded but were unable to locate the vehicle.

 

11/24/2023

Citizen called in to speak with a Deputy regarding a civil matter.

Deputies responded to Dime Box for a disturbance. Parties were separated and report taken.

Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle at a parking lot on CR 223. Deputy checked the business and located an open door. Owner contacted. All okay.

Deputy and GVFD responded to a reported trailer fire at an oilfield lease on FM 180.

Sergeant conducted a traffic stop on FM 696 W/Willow Creek Rd. Driver was found to have outstanding warrant from Travis County. Driver arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 290 W. Driver was arrested for DWI and transported to Lee County Jail.

 

11/25/2023 

Citizen on CR 117 called in to report a suspicious black car parked near their property. Deputy responded but was unable to locate.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance on CR 204. Parties were separated.

Deputies responded to loud music report on Hwy 290 E.

 

11/26/2023

Dispatch received multiple 911 calls of a major crash on Hwy 77 North/CR 327. Deputies, Trooper, LCEMS, and Lincoln VFD responded to the scene. Multiple patients transported for treatment via LCEMS and helicopter.

Deputy responded to CR 204 to assist with a civil standby.

Dispatch received multiple calls of a one vehicle rollover crash with entrapment on SH 21 near Elm Creek. Deputies, Trooper, Giddings/Lincoln VFD's and LCEMS responded. One patient transported for treatment.

Deputies and Trooper responded to a two-vehicle crash at SH 21/CR 402.

Austin Airport reported an aircraft that had a green laser pointed at it in the area of CR 205. Sergeant responded to investigate.

Deputies responded to PR 7016 for a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

 

Deputies handled 31 loose livestock calls.

 

The Lee County Blue Santa program is in full effect. We will continue taking names for children newborn to 16 years of age until Dec. 4th. The live auction to support this cause will be Dec. 2nd.
