10/16/2023

Sergeant transported a mental health consumer to an out-of-county facility for treatment.

Sergeant met with a complainant in the lobby regarding a stolen cell phone. Theft report taken.

Deputy met with a complainant in the lobby regarding a scam. The victim applied for a job online and a link was sent to her email. The victim was sent a check for $2,500 and instructed to deposit the check into her account. The victim was further instructed to send a Venmo for $2,500 for office equipment. The victim lost $2,500. This case remains under investigation.

Citizen requested that a Deputy meet him at a business in Giddings. The citizen had found the truck that had been tearing up his driveway. Deputy made location and the suspect was issued a criminal trespass notice for the victim's property, as the victim did not want to file charges at this time.

Deputy responded to an address on Scenic View on a report of a neighbor's bulldozer tearing up their property. Information taken for a report.

Deputies responded to assist Lexington PD with an active break-in. Everything was okay.

Deputies conducted warrant service at an address on CR B. One male subject taken into custody and transported to Lee County Jail.

Deputy transported a mental health consumer to an out-of-county facility for treatment.

Sergeant spoke with an individual in the lobby in regard to a court order.

Sergeant spoke with a resident from CR 412 regarding horses on her property that do not belong to her. Information taken for a report.

 

10/17/2023

Citizen reported a vehicle with a flat tire blocking her driveway on FM 141. Sergeant responded to the location and located the vehicle owner. The flat tire was changed, and the motorist was on their way.

Resident from CR 316 reported an assault. Deputy made location and took information for an assault report.

Deputy responded to CR A for an inquest.

Sergeant and Dispatch Supervisor transported a mental health consumer to an out-of-county facility for treatment.

Bluebonnet Trails called to request a welfare check on a client. Deputies and Lexington PD were able to locate the individual.

Complainant called to report that he was assaulted the night before and wanted to file charges today. Caller made arrangements to meet with a Deputy for a follow up investigation.

Bluebonnet Trails called to report a mental health consumer in crisis. The individual was located and released to a family member.

Citizen called to speak with a Deputy in regard to online fraud. Information gathered for a report.

Caller requested a Deputy to a private residence on CR 130 due to a driver dropping them off and giving them a bad feeling. Deputies responded and close patrolled the area.

Citizen report of two loose dogs on Gary Street. Deputy responded but was unable to locate.

 

10/18/2023

Caller reported an injured dog on FM 141. Deputy responded and the owners arrived to take the animal to the Vet.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance on CR 311. The parties were separated.

 

10/19/2023

Citizen called in to report illegal dumping in her dumpster in Lincoln. Deputy responded to investigate.

Deputies responded to an apartment complex on Hwy 290 west for a verbal disturbance. The parties were separated, and information was taken for a report of threats.

Deputies assisted Giddings PD with traffic control on Hwy 290 at the railroad tracks. The arms were down frequently, with no trains passing.

Deputy responded to a residence on Hwy 21 for a fraud report. Information taken for a report.

While on patrol, a Deputy drove upon a one vehicle crash on CR 117 near FM 141. After investigation, it was determined the lug nuts came loose and the tire became free. No report.

Sergeant responded to Hwy 21/FM 3403 for a vehicle unlock.

Citizen reported an assault between two youth. Deputy made location and information was taken.

 

10/20/2023

Citizen reported someone trespassing on her property on CR 205. Caller believes they entered the property to hunt or fish. Sheriff made location and located the individual and the property owner. The subject was escorted off the property.

Citizen from CR 127 reported that his neighbor's dogs attacked his dogs. Sergeant responded to the scene to investigate and make a report.

Deputy assisted Giddings PD with a disturbance on W. Liberty Street.

 

10/21/2023

Lee County Dispatch received a phone call from a child stating that he was sick. The child said she is five years old and is home alone. Dispatch utilized GPS to trace the phone call to a specific address. Deputies located the young lady who was not alone, and not requiring emergency services.

Citizen requested a Deputy meet her in Lexington for suspicious charges on her credit card after making a purchase at a local store. The matter was resolved.

Deputies assisted with a funeral escort in Giddings.

Complainant on CR A requested a Deputy for phone harassment. Deputy made location and took information for a report.

Deputy responded to a local complex for a juvenile breaking a window with a rock. Information was taken.

Complainant requested to meet with a Deputy in Dime Box regarding his stolen truck. The matter was investigated by a Deputy. The previous night shift Deputies had the vehicle towed for blocking CR 430. Matter resolved.

Deputies took a report of a missing person who was traveling to Texas from Colorado. The matter was investigated and the individual in question was located.

Dispatch received a 911 call from Nails Creek Park advising that a female and her toddler were lost. Deputies and Park Police were able to locate the parties and return them safely to their camp site.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on CR 134. Deputy responded and located the occupants who advised they were out of fuel. All okay.

Deputies assisted Giddings PD with a reckless driver on Hwy 290. The driver almost struck an Officer while on a traffic stop. One female subject arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Sergeant responded to CR 105 on a report of suspicious activity. A patrol was conducted throughout the shift, with nothing observed.

 

10/22/2023

Deputy observed a male subject in the ditch on Hwy 77 South. Individual given a courtesy ride to Fayette County.

Sergeant checked on a reported suspicious vehicle parked at a business property off FM 448. The vehicle was gone upon arrival and the property was secure.

Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a two-vehicle crash at Hwy 77/N. Rockdale Street. Deputies responded along with Lexington VFD and Lee County EMS. Crash report taken.

Citizen requested a welfare check on her elderly neighbor on FM 696. Deputies responded and located the individual deceased. An inquest was held.

Caller reported that her son's girlfriend came to her property and caused a disturbance. The parties were gone upon arrival. One female subject was served with a criminal trespass.

Caller reported a suspicious male subject selling items outside of a store in Dime Box. Sergeant responded to meet with the store clerk, as the male subject had already left.

Citizen called to report his dogs were attacked by his neighbor's dogs in Lexington. Deputy spoke with the reporting party and the information was documented for Lexington PD.

Sergeant responded to a residence on FM 141 after a caller reported a problem with her gas and water. Dime Box VFD was summoned as well. All okay.

 

 

Your Lee County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a "Trunk-or-Treat" at 2122 FM 448 on Friday, October 27th from 5-7pm. Please bring your little ones by in their costumes to take part in the fun. There will be lots of candy and our new patrol vehicles will be on display.

 

As Halloween approaches, we urge our motorists be extra cautious with all of the extra foot traffic in our various communities. Deputies will be out to ensure everyone's safety.
