9/4/2023 - 9/10/2023


 

9/4/2023

Deputy responded to report of illegal dumping on CR 105. Evidence collected and the identity of the suspect has been made.

Deputy responded to Hwy 290 East for a report of harassment. Suspect identified and report made.

Chief Deputy followed up on abandoned vehicle on FM 2440/SH 21.

Deputies assisted Giddings PD with a disturbance on Orange St.

Deputy assisted with traffic control for an 18-wheeler on Hwy 77 North.

Deputy stopped a reported reckless driver on SH 21 from Bastrop County. All okay.

Deputy assisted motorist with traffic control for a tire change SH 21/CR 440.

Deputy assisted motorist on SH 21 in Old Dime Box with courtesy ride.

Deputy located an open door at a business during a night patrol. All okay.

Deputy assisted a mental health consumer at the sheriff's office lobby.

Deputy assisted a motorist who ran out of gas on Hwy 290 East.

 

9/5/2023

Deputies assisted with traffic control for a disabled semi on Hwy 290 West.

Caller reported kids knocking on her door on Hwy 290 East. Deputies responded and spoke with the parents of the juveniles.

Deputies took a harassment report on Avenue F in Lexington. Report was made.

 

9/6/2023

Deputy checked a suspicious vehicle on FM 141. Vehicle was tagged abandoned.

Sergeant and Deputies followed up on reports of damage from a house move on CR 117. The responsible parties were identified to make repairs.

Deputy responded to Lexington PD to make an information report regarding an agency assist.

Sergeant responded to a business in Giddings for a vehicle unlock.

Deputy located a reported reckless driver on Hwy 77 North; however, no violations were observed.

Deputies, Lexington PD, and Constable Pct. 4 responded to CR C for a report of an individual being threatened with a gun. Report taken.

Deputy transported a mental health consumer to a facility for assistance.

Deputies responded to SH 21 near Lincoln after a caller reported an Uber driver making her feel unsafe. Caller called back to disregard, all okay.

Deputy responded to report of malnourished livestock on CR 133. Livestock had plenty of feed and water.

 

9/7/2023

Deputy responded to CR B on a report of a suspicious male sitting by the road. All okay, subject was waiting for his ride.

Deputy responded to a residence in Giddings for a vehicle unlock.

Sergeant responded to a business in Giddings for a vehicle unlock.

Deputy spoke with a citizen from FM 696 West in reference to a phone scam.

Deputy took a report of a dog bite from CR 326.

Deputies responded to FM 180 on a report of criminal trespass. The individuals on scene had permission to be there.

Sergeant responded to a residence in Giddings for a vehicle unlock.

Deputy responded to a convenience store in Lexington on a report of a male subject asking for drugs. The subject left the scene in a vehicle prior to the deputy's arrival.

Deputies responded to SH 21 West to assist and individual for a crisis intervention call.

Citizen report of smoke smell on CR 326. Deputies and Lexington VFD were unable to locate a fire.

 

9/8/2023

Citizen requested assistance with a battery jump for her disabled vehicle on FM 180. Constable Pct. 2 responded to assist.

Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call and could only hear a woman yelling. Deputies made location and determined that a man had fallen and needed assistance.

Sergeant spoke with a citizen in regard to a civil matter.

Complainant called the Sheriff's Office to report additional items missing from a previous theft on CR 311. Deputy took report of the stolen fencing materials.

Deputy responded to Hwy 290 East for a report of a dog bite. Report taken.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 450. Both parties were located and separated as no offense was committed.

Caller reported a one-vehicle crash on CR 117. Deputies, Giddings VFD, and Trooper responded to the scene. Patient transported by Lee County EMS.

Dispatch received a 9-1-1 hang up call from Rockdale Street in Lexington. Deputies located the source who advised it was an accidental dial.

Deputy responded to assist Lexington PD with a disturbance at a convenience store. It was reported that a potentially intoxicated individual drove off on Hwy 77 North. Deputies were unable to locate, and the information was forwarded to Milam County SO.

A citizen called to document a complaint on the railroad. Information taken.

 

9/9/2023

Deputy assisted Giddings PD with a disturbance at a business.

Sergeant met with a complainant to take a report for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Report taken.

Caller reported gunfire on CR 205. Sergeant responded and located the source. All okay.

Dispatch received 9-1-1 calls reporting a fight in progress on Hempstead Street. The suspect was gone upon arrival.

Report of a reckless driver on FM 696 West. Deputy was unable to locate the dark colored Mazda.

Citizen report of two puppies dumped on CR 430. Deputy transported the puppies to the animal shelter.

Complainant called to report a theft of her wallet on CR 120. Report taken.

Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call in regard to a disturbance on CR 446. Deputies responded, and after investigation one male subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail for Assault Family Violence.

Sergeant assisted College Station Police in locating an individual on a CSPD case.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 290 West. Driver was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated.

 

9/10/2023

Citizen report of a suspicious vehicle delivering a package at an abandoned house on CR 227. Deputy located the delivery driver for Amazon Prime.

Dispatch received a crash report from OnStar and Life360 at Hwy 77/CR 114. Deputies responded and found three vehicles involved, blocking traffic, with no injuries. Crash report taken by DPS.

Deputies assisted Giddings PD with a disturbance on North Leon Street. Suspect was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Deputy worked a crash on CR 221, after the driver reported it to Giddings PD.

Washington County SO reported a male subject being dropped off at the Lee County line on Hwy 290 East. The subject was stranded by his band mates after an argument. Individual was provided a courtesy ride to Bastrop County line.

Deputies responded to 28 reports of loose livestock and conducted 70 traffic stops during this reporting period.
