7/31/2023

Report of a vehicle blocking roadway on CR 424. Deputy responded and the vehicle was off the roadway. Vehicle red-tagged and owner was contacted.

Report of a one vehicle minor crash on SH 21 near Burleson County line. Deputy responded to the scene and located an abandoned vehicle. Deputy made contact with the owner.

Report of an unauthorized use of a vehicle. Deputy took a report.

Report of a suspicious male subject on their property requesting money because their relative was in jail. Deputies responded and located the male subject who was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail for Theft.

GPD requested assistance with an intoxicated and combative male subject. Subject transported to the Lee County Jail.

Wanted subjected surrendered himself at the Sheriff's Office for a local warrant.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on CR 302. Verbal altercation was quelled by parties separating for the night.

 

8/1/2023

Dispatch received several 911 hang-up calls from FM180. Deputy made scene where a child was accidentally calling.

Deputies assisted a Trooper with a vehicle search near Giddings High School. One male suspect transported to Lee County Jail.

Deputies assisted Arlington PD with a request for locating the owner of a vehicle.

Caller reported a large tree blocking roadway on CR 326. Deputy responded and was able to clear the roadway.

 

8/2/2023

Report of a reckless driver on Hwy 290. Call transferred to GPD.

Animal Cruelty report on CR 133. Deputy responded and provided water to the animals and contacted the owner for a report.

Deputy responded to E. Austin St. for a vehicle unlock.

Deputies responded to assist GPD at an apartment complex for a report of a gunshot and screaming. GPD located a gender reveal party as the source of the noise.

Deputy responded to W. Austin St. for a vehicle unlock.

Motorist report of a one vehicle crash on Hwy 290 East / FM 180. Deputies responded to the scene.

Deputies assisted Bastrop County SO with a follow up on a burglary investigation.

Deputies responded to a crisis intervention call, where the subject was transported to a facility for assistance.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person call on CR 316. A female was located and given a courtesy ride.

 

8/3/2023

Deputy responded to a crash on FM 141 where a vehicle struck a calf. Crash report taken.

Motorist report of an abandoned vehicle on CR 400. Deputy was able to locate the driver who had broken down. Vehicle was removed from the roadway.

Deputies responded to a trespassing call on Post Oak St. The subject was located, and it was determined that no offense had occurred.

Caller requested a criminal trespass notice. Deputy responded to make a report.

Deputy transported an individual to a facility for mental health services.

Complainant came to the SO to report harassment. Deputy took information for a report.

Motorist report of malfunction at FM 448 train track. Union Pacific was notified.

 

8/4/2023

Reported theft of a license plate from a trailer. Deputy responded to investigate, and information taken for a report.

Estray donkey reported on FM 141. Animal was picked up and transported to Giddings Livestock Barn and information taken for an estray case.

Multiple 911 calls of 2 vehicle crash on SH 21. Deputies responded to the scene to assist.

Motorist report of a hit-and-run crash where an object fell off a truck and struck another vehicle. Deputies responded to the scene on Hwy 290.

While making a close patrol, a Deputy located a vehicle parked near storage units. The occupants were determined to be juveniles and were released to their parents.

Caller requested a criminal trespass warning be issued in Lexington. Deputy responded to the call.

 

8/5/2023

Deputy responded to N. Orange St. for a vehicle unlock.

Citizen report of someone damaging his well and bbq pit. Deputy responded to investigate and make a report for criminal mischief.

Caller reported smoke that could be seen from CR 326 toward FM 1624. Deputies and Lincoln VFD responded to the area. No fire was located.

Caller reported fire on CR 125 near county line. Post Oak and Dime Box VFD's were toned out.

Deputy located a vehicle during a close patrol of storage unit complex. Vehicle was broken down.

Deputy conducted traffic enforcement on CR 133 and CR 116 after reports of speeding in the area.

Report of a hit-and-run crash on CR 135, where a vehicle hit fence and continued on toward CR 114. Deputy responded to the scene to take a report.

Deputy assisted GPD with a wrong way driver on Hwy 290 West. Driver was located and transported to Lee County Jail.

 

8/6/2023

Deputy responded to FM 141 in Dime Box for a report of harassment. Deputy investigated and information taken for a report.

Deputy responded to S. Williamson St. for a vehicle unlock.

Caller reported harassment at their place of business. Deputy responded to make a report.

Deputy responded to Rolling Oaks Dr. for a vehicle unlock.

Deputy observed a vehicle driving reckless at the Lexington Park after midnight. Juveniles were identified and released to their parents.

 

 

Please use extreme caution on our roadways, as our students return to school. There is zero-tolerance for speeding in school zones, as well as passing or disregarding school buses. We pray for a safe and successful school year for all of our youth.
