April 17, 2023

03:08 - Sgt. Strouth and Deputy J. Brown were dispatched to Hwy 290 at PR 2908 to assist a motorist with changing a tire. The motorist stated that the lug nuts were too tight for him to turn. The deputies were unable to get them off as well. Roadside assistance was notified and came to assist with the tire change.

06:25 - A security company reported someone stealing from a construction site located on CR 314. They saw someone on camera taking something from the side of one of the buildings. Deputy Ellington and Deputy Eickenhorst responded and checked the area. The house is vacant and there's no furniture inside. There were no signs of a break in. The deputies made contact with the construction crew, and advised they have onsite security.

09:01 - Sgt. Ray met with a complainant at the Sheriff's Office about a criminal trespass warning for her property on FM 2239 and her place of business in Giddings. The complainant stated that a male subject from Bastrop has been making threats to her and one of her employees. Information was documented.

09:37 - A motorist reported two cows and one calf out on FM 141 near Hwy 21. Deputy Kocurek located the cows and removed them from the roadway.

10:38 - Capt. Mastronardi assisted CPS with a case follow up at an address in the 5400 block of FM 180.

18:07 - A resident on CR 455 advised that two male subjects were fishing in his tank without his permission. Deputy Dudley responded to the call and could not locate the subjects on the property.

18:12 - Deputy Dickerson and Lexington Officer Reyna responded to a call for a possible disturbance near the 200 block of Avenue G. The caller stated that he could hear a disturbance coming from down the street of his residence. The area was checked, and a juvenile was found arguing with his mother.  Everything was okay.

18:54 - Dispatch received a 911 call from a residence on CR 307 in reference to an assault. The caller stated that her daughter assaulted her husband on the way back from Georgetown. She advised that her husband did not sustain injuries great enough for EMS to be paged to the scene. Deputy Dickerson, Deputy Dudley and Deputy E. Hilmo responded to the call. The parties were separated, and Deputy E. Hilmo gave the daughter a courtesy ride to a hotel in Giddings. No report at this time.

23:21 - Deputy Dudley was dispatched to Peterson Food Mart for a welfare concern. The alarm company requested a welfare check on the employees. The area was checked, and everything was secured. There were no signs of any employees on site.

 

April 18, 2023

00:08 - A resident on CR 455 advised that the two male subjects were back on his property standing on his front porch. Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dickerson and Deputy Dudley responded to the call. The property was check but the deputies were unable to locate anyone on the property.

01:26 - Dispatch received a call about a white cow out on Hwy 77 about two miles south of Nursery Drive. Deputy E. Hilmo responded to the call and advised it was the same cow from previous calls. The deputy advised that the fence is bad, and the cow can get across the cattle guard. The cow was removed from the roadway.

10:08 - Deputy Webber and Deputy Eickenhorst were dispatched to PR 7009 for a 911 call. The caller was mumbling in Spanish, and Dispatch could not get an answer. Contact was made with the homeowner, who advised it was an accidental call.

11:01 - A caller reported an elderly woman walking along FM 141 near CR 116. The caller advised that she was walking around with a trash bag possibly picking up trash and brush. Deputy Kocurek responded and located the subject. She advised she was okay and was just picking up cans to recycle.

13:21 - Sgt. Jones spoke with a caller in reference to a criminal trespass warning against her. She stated that she was going to CR 209 to pick up an individual knowing she had a trespass warning against her. The deputy advised her that if she is caught on the property, she will be arrested.

14:04 - A motorist reported a two-vehicle accident on FM 696 west of PR 7008 with injuries. Sgt. Jones, Deputy Ellington and Deputy Kocurek assisted Trooper Pennartz with the accident.  Lexington VFD and EMS also responded to the scene. EMS transported both drivers were transported to a hospital. BDS and Govan's took possession of the vehicles. DPS took the crash report.

16:42 - Dispatch received a 911 open line call from an address on Clark Lane. Deputy Webber and Deputy Eickenhorst responded and made contact with the homeowner. They advised it was an accidental call.

17:06 - A complainant came to the Sheriff's Office with a property owner requesting to remove the criminal trespass warning filed against her. Capt. Mastronardi and Sgt. Jones met with the property owner, and the trespass warning remains in effect.

20:08 - Sirius XM called 911 to report information on the whereabouts of a stolen vehicle out of Dallas PD. The vehicle was pinging off CR 455. Deputy Dudley and Deputy Dickerson searched the area but could not locate the vehicle. Information was passed onto day shift to be followed up on.

21:40 - Deputy Dickerson and Deputy Dudley were dispatched to Town and Country Mobile Home Park for an animal complaint. Giddings PD advised that a complainant stated that a medium sized dark in color dog attempted to attack his children. The dog was located and secured. Giddings PD advised that Animal Control would need to do a follow up due to the nature of the call. No contact could be made with the owner.

22:03 - Sgt. Holloway advised he was doing a welfare and security check for the closing shift employees at Bubba's Truck Stop. Everything was okay.

22:20 - Deputy Dickerson checked out with a suspicious vehicle near the entrance of the Tex Villa Apartments. The vehicle had a note inside stating the motor went out and, the owner would be back to pick up the vehicle. The vehicle was secured and off the roadway.

 

April 19, 2023

04:43 - A motorist reported two donkeys in the middle of the roadway on FM 141 near CR 452. Sgt. Holloway searched the area but was unable to locate any animals.

06:27 - Bastrop County advised of a reckless driver headed east on Hwy 21. The vehicle was failing to maintain a single lane of traffic. Deputy J. Hilmo and Reserve Deputy Stem checked Hwy 21 from Bastrop County line to the Burleson County line but were unable to locate the vehicle.

07:54 - A caller in the 2300 block of Hwy 290 West stated there was a white pickup with flashers on in the bar ditch. Deputy Webber and Reserve Deputy Stem responded and made contact with the driver. The driver advised the vehicle had front tire issues. At the requested of the driver, B&M took possession of the vehicle and gave the driver a courtesy ride.

08:31 - Trooper Pennartz checked out with a disabled vehicle on Hwy 21 at FM 3403. The vehicle had a flat tire, and driver was changing it.

09:21 - Apple reported a crash that occurred on Hwy 21 near CR 454. Deputy Crenshaw and Deputy J. Hilmo checked the area but were unable to locate an accident.

09:52 - Cpl. West and Deputy Crenshaw were dispatched to Highland View off of CR 311 for a report of animal abused. The complainant stated that two donkeys were being abused. Information was taken for a report.

10:13 - A clerk from the Country Store in Dime Box reported a vehicle parked on the backside of the store blocking the dumpsters. Deputy J. Hilmo located the vehicle but could not locate the driver. The clerk was advised that the vehicle was on private property and could be towed. A towing company out of Caldwell was contacted and removed the vehicle from the location.

13:33 - Cpl. West assisted Giddings PD at an address in the 2300 block of East Austin.  One male subject was transported to the Lee County Jail by Cpl. West.

19:06 - Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown checked out at an address on Deerwood Drive for civil process. Papers were served.

19:12 - Union Pacific reported cows on the track near the 3800 block of CR 118. One cow was hit but the train did not stop. Sgt. Strouth checked the area but did not locate any loose cows or one that was hit.

20:55 - Dispatch received a 911 call for an active disturbance on North Williamson Street. The call was transferred to Giddings PD. Deputy Haman responded to assist with the call.

21:23 - A caller advised of a suspicious vehicle parked in her driveway in the 2800 block of CR 113. Sgt. Strouth responded and made contact with the driver, who advised they were at the wrong address. The caller was advised of the situation.

 

April 20, 2023

05:07 - Sgt. Strouth and Deputy J. Brown responded to a one-vehicle accident on FM 696 West near CR 305. The motorist stated the vehicle hit a cow, and there were no injuries. Trooper Pennartz also responded and arrived on scene first. He advised to cancel county units. Blue VFD was dispatched to the scene to assist with traffic control. A crash report was taken by DPS.

05:43 - Dispatch received a call about a large hog carcass in the roadway at Hwy 77 and FM 1624. Deputy J. Hilmo responded and cleared the roadway of the carcass.

06:53 - A motorist reported a two-vehicle accident with unknown injuries located at Hwy 21 and PR 8024. Both vehicles were off the roadway. Deputy J. Hilmo and Deputy Crenshaw responded along with EMS and Lincoln VFD. Tillary's took possession of one vehicle, and the other vehicle was still drivable. A citation was issued for failure to yield.

07:26 - A resident on CR 309 stated that her neighbor keeps stealing from her. Deputy J. Hilmo met with the resident and advised it was a civil issue.

08:43 - Cpl. West was dispatched to FM 141 for two cows out on the roadway. The area was checked but no loose livestock was located.

11:12 - Dispatch received several 911 hang up calls from an address on PR 2906. Deputy J. Hilmo responded and made contact with a supervisor. The supervisor would look into it.

11:13 - Cpl. West responded to a call about a dog locked in a vehicle at Town and Country Mobile Home Park. The deputy was able to unlock the vehicle.

15:40 - Criminal Investigations received a call from a complainant about credit card abuse. The complainant stated that she lost her card and now charges are showing up on her statement. Lt. Adams met with the complainant on PR 7012, and a report was taken.

16:16 - A caller on Phillips Street in Lexington reported two white males in their 20's walking around the neighborhood knocking on people's doors. They were last seen walking across the street to the neighbor's house. Deputy Crenshaw responded and made contact with one of the individuals. He advised they were with a home remodeling company.

17:51 - Sgt. Strouth was dispatched to CR 415 near Hwy 77 for a subject in a wheelchair yelling and screaming at passing motorists. The area was checked to the county line on CR 415 and no subject was located.

18:41 - A motorist advised that a large table was in the roadway on Hwy 77 south of CR 223. Deputy J. Brown responded and removed the table from the roadway.

21:05 - Alarm Connections reported an alarm at Lexington Food Mart. Sgt. Strouth checked the area and the store. Everything was secure.

21:33 - Sgt. Strouth checked out with two suspicious vehicles on South Rockdale Street at Hwy 77 in Lexington. Both drivers advised they were letting the rain pass.

22:01 - Dispatch received a call about a reckless driver on Hwy 21 in Dime Box traveling east bound. All units were notified but none were in the area. Information was passed on to Burleson County.

 

April 21, 2023

02:07 - Sgt. Strouth checked out with a suspicious vehicle on Deerwood Drive in Elgin. The driver advised he pulled over to talk on the phone.

02:49 - Deputy Haman advised of loose livestock on Hwy 77 near North Rockdale Street. The livestock were secured off the roadway.

03:59 - A caller reported a large tree blocking the roadway on CR 329 near PR 3293. Sgt. Strouth and Deputy Haman responded, and Pct. 4 Commissioner was notified. Cones would be placed, and roadway will be closed until a crew can get back out to remove the tree.

06:25 - Deputy Ellington and Deputy Eickenhorst responded to a call about a motorist stuck on the side of CR 219 near CR 220. The area was checked but no vehicle was located.

07:37 - Giddings PD advised of an 18-wheeler failing to maintain a single lane of traffic on Hwy 77 traveling northbound passing through Warda. Deputy Ellington and Deputy Eickenhorst checked the area but were unable to locate the 18-wheeler.

13:21 - A complainant came to the Sheriff's Office to speak with a deputy about damage to her fence line on CR 117. Deputy Eickenhorst met with the complainant, and information and photos were taken for a report.

13:34 - Deputy Eickenhorst spoke with a complainant via telephone about vehicles speeding and not stopping for school buses on FM 696 West near Sherill Lane. The deputy advised the complainant that a close patrol will be placed for the area.

14:25 - A motorist reported a reckless driving on Hwy 21 West traveling westbound. The vehicle was failing to maintain a single lane of traffic. Due to no units in the area, the call was transferred to Bastrop County.

15:54 - Deputy Kocurek was dispatched to CR 436 for an animal complaint. The caller stated that the cows on the property next to her had no food or water. The deputy checked the area and advised there is grass and water for the cows.

16:51 - Dispatch received a call about gun fire on CR 430. The caller stated he heard the gun fire then saw two subjects running into a field. The caller also stated that a male and a female were fighting in the front yard. Two subjects were seen getting into a white older model two door car that left towards FM 141. Deputy Ellington, Deputy Eickenhorst and Deputy Kocurek responded to the call. Contact was made with all parties involved. EMS was refused by the victim, and a report was taken.

19:02 - Giddings PD advised of a vehicle accident in the 1300 block of West Austin Street. Sgt. Holloway and Deputy E. Hilmo assisted Giddings PD with traffic control.

21:07 - A caller reported a black cow out on FM 1624 near the Fedor VFD. Deputy Dickerson checked the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

21:14 - Fayette County advised of a vehicle traveling west bound in the east bound lane of Hwy 290. Deputy Dudley attempted to locate the vehicle, but no vehicle was located.

 

April 22, 2023

02:01 - Deputy Dickerson advised he was out with a suspicious vehicle near the 9100 block of Hwy 77 North. The vehicle was unoccupied and secured.

03:33 - A female subject called 911 and stated that she had been kicked out of residence in the 3700 block of Hwy 21 East and needed a place to stay. Giddings PD was able to assist with getting a room for the subject. Sgt. Holloway and Deputy E. Hilmo gave the female a courtesy ride to the hotel. An information report was taken.

07:46 - Deputy Ellington and Deputy Eickenhorst responded to a call about a cow out on Hwy 21 East near CR 440. The deputies made contact with the property owner at who advised the cow did not belong to him but knew who the owner was. The cow was secured off the roadway.

10:58 - Deputy Ellington and Deputy Eickenhorst transported a female subject from a hotel in Giddings to the Sheriff's Office for her to give a written statement about the incident that occurred the night before.

11:00 - A caller requested a civil standby during a child exchange at Zochnet on Hwy 77 at Hwy 21. Deputy Ellington and Deputy Eickenhorst conducted the standby without incident.

13:40 - Deputy Ellington and Deputy Eickenhorst assisted Giddings PD with a funeral escort.

19:22 - A resident on CR 343 witnessed a subject who had been drinking put a child in a Chevrolet car and drove off. Deputy Dickerson checked the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.

21:35 - Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dickerson, Deputy Dudley and Deputy E. Hilmo responded to a call about gunshots in the area of FM 696 East and CR 406. One resident on FM 696 stated that he had heard two gunshots and what sounded like a male's voice screaming for help. While in the area, Deputy Dickerson was flagged down by three individuals near CR 406 stating they heard the same thing. Faint screams could be heard coming from an address in the 1300 block of CR 406. Game Warden Moreno also arrived on scene for assistance. After further investigation, it was discovered that the resident was shooting his gun on his property and yelling for his dogs. Everything was okay, and law enforcement was not needed.

22:39 - A couple of residents on Deer Valle Drive reported loud music coming from Meadow Run. Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dickerson, Deputy Dudley and Deputy E. Hilmo responded to the call and located the loud music. Individuals were advised to turn down the music. They advised the deputies that they would be done within the next 30 minutes.

23:57 - Deputy Dudley and Deputy Dickerson were dispatched to Tex Villa Apartments for a noise complainant. The caller stated that someone was playing loud music and having a party. The deputies checked the complex and could not locate a party or any noise.

 

April 23, 2023

00:31 - Giddings PD requested assistance from Deputy E. Hilmo for translation at an address on South Leon Street. Deputy E. Hilmo arrived on scene and assisted with translation.

00:54 - Dispatch received a 911 call about a disturbance on Lazy Oaks Lane. The call was transferred to Giddings PD.  Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dickerson, Deputy Dudley and Deputy E. Hilmo responded to the call to assist Giddings PD. Upon arrival, no assistance was needed from Lee County units.

10:06 - Deputy Ellington and Deputy Eickenhorst were dispatched to an address in the 2200 block of Hwy 290 West for a disturbance. The caller stated that his cousin had sent him a text wanting him to get law enforcement at his location on Hwy 290. The cousin was in the process of evicting a tenant who was causing problems. A male subject was taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail. A report was also taken.

10:36 - A resident on CR 307 in McDade reported that a male subject came up to his door asking if he had called him out to do some work on his property. When the resident said no, the man left the property on foot towards the neighbor's house. The resident already made contact with the neighbors, who will be checking their cameras. Deputy Kocurek checked the area but was unable to locate the subject.

11:35 - Deputy Kocurek responded to call about a three-vehicle accident on FM 696 East in Lexington. EMS and Lexington VFD were also paged out to the scene. EMS transported on juvenile to an Austin hospital. Lexington Auto took possession of one of the vehicles. A crash report was taken.

17:25 - Deputy Dickerson checked out with a male subject on South Dallas Street in Giddings. The subject was identified and released.

17:45- Deputy Dickerson, Deputy Dudley, Deputy Ellington and Deputy Kocurek assisted Giddings PD with a possible wanted subject on Brenham Street. Units were unable to locate the wanted subject.

18:32 - A caller requested to speak to Sgt. Holloway in regards to the call that took place on his property on CR 406. Sgt. Holloway spoke with the resident who was informed of the nature of the call and what took place.

20:05 - Dispatch received a 911 call about a one-vehicle rollover accident on Hwy 290 near FM 180. Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dudley, Deputy Dickerson and Deputy E. Hilmo all responded to the call. A second caller stated that he was helping the subject involved in the accident out of his vehicle. EMS and Giddings VFD were paged out to the scene as well. The driver was transported to a hospital in Brenham. A crash report was taken.

20:42 - A resident on CR 107 advised of loud music from either CR 108 or CR 106. Deputy Dickerson responded to the call but was unable to locate the sound of any noise or loud music in the area.

22:11 - A motorist called 911 to report a reckless and possibly intoxicated driver on Hwy 290 heading westbound near the Giddings City limits. Lee County Units along with Giddings PD were notified. Giddings PD located the reckless driver and conducted a traffic stop near the storage units on West Austin Street. Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dickerson, Deputy Dudley and Deputy E. Hilmo assisted Giddings PD with the traffic stop. After further investigation, Giddings PD requested EMS for the driver who was possibly having diabetic issues. EMS transported the driver to a Bastrop hospital. No report was taken.
