February 13 - February 19, 2023

 

February 13, 2023

02:39 - Deputy Dudley and Deputy Kocurek assisted Giddings PD with a suspicious call on W. Austin Street. Contact was made with an individual and everything was fine.

02:51- Deputy Ellington advised that he was out with a loose black cow out on FM 141 at CR 117. He was able to remove cow from roadway and secure it.

03:52 - Deputy Dudley advised over the radio that he was out with a suspicious vehicle at the Lexington Park. Deputy Dudley spoke with the subject and stated they were just there to exercise.

05:20 - Deputy Haman, Deputy J. Brown, and Deputy J. Hilmo assisted Giddings PD with a one vehicle accident on Hwy 290 at the railroad tracks. Giddings PD requested EMS.

06:55 - A motorist reported a RV traveling on FM 112 coming into Lexington that was missing lights, had no license plates, and driving well under the speed limit. Chief Garza responded and was unable to locate the RV.

08:25 - Deputy J. Brown was dispatched to the Dime Box Post Office for a report about the handling of a package. Information was taken for a report.

09:00 - Dispatch received a 911 hang up call from a residence on Avenue D in Lexington. Chief Garza responded and advised it was a disturbance. The subject had left the residence prior to officer's arrival. Chief Garza will be following up.

11:31 - A complainant requested to speak to a deputy about his current case. Sgt. Strouth spoke with the complainant and will be adding a supplement to the case.

12:05 - Deputy J. Hilmo was dispatched to CR 426 to speak with a complainant about her hunting dog that was stolen. Information was taken for a report.

12:53 - A resident on CR 405 requested to speak with a deputy about her mother harassing her. Deputy Haman spoke with the resident. No report at this time

13:30 - Sgt. Strouth and Deputy J. Brown met with a complainant on Warren Road in Lexington in reference to credit card abuse. The complainant stated that someone has been using her debit card without her permission. Information was taken for a report.

16:25 - Sirius XM advised they had a signal from a stolen vehicle located off CR 415.  They stated the vehicle was reported stolen out of Missouri City. Capt. Mastronarid, Lt. Adams, Sgt. Ray, Sgt. Strouth, Deputy Haman, Deputy J. Brown and Deputy J. Hilmo responded to the location. While on scene, an updated ping had the vehicle on CR 435 north of Blue. The vehicle could not be located.

17:45 - Sgt. Strouth checked out with a vehicle on CR 415 at CR 419. Vehicle was off the roadway and secured.

18:17 - Capt. Mastronardi, Lt. Adams and Sgt. Ray checked out on CR 455 to continue searching for the stolen vehicle. Units were unable to locate the vehicle.

18:20 - A motorist reported a tan calf out on FM 112 about 2 miles from Lexington. Deputy Crenshaw checked the area but was unable to locate the calf.

19:00 - Deputy Rodriguez was dispatched to Hwy 77 near CR 220 for a white truck partially in the roadway. Driver advised he stopped to make a phone call and will be getting back on the road.

19:15 - A complainant called with questions about his cattle that were on a neighbor's property on CR 127. He stated he thought that a deputy removed the cattle from the roadway and put them on the property. The property owner was demanding $500 before he could remove the cattle. Sgt. Young advised the complainant of his rights. Dispatch was unable to locate any calls about units securing cattle in the area of the address. The complainant also advised he was unsure if a deputy actually put the cattle on the other property or not. No report at this time.

21:49 - Deputy Crenshaw and Deputy Rodriguez responded to a call in reference to a suicidal subject walking southbound on Hwy 77 near the American Legion Hall. Giddings PD advised they spoke with a friend who stated the subject was back at his vehicle on S. Madison Street. No report was taken.

 

February 14, 2023

06:30 - A resident on CR 205 reported a transformer on fire. Giddings VFD and Bluebonnet Electric responded to the call.

08:25 - A motorist reported that there were 8 to 10 cows out on FM 3403 about 3 miles from Lexington. Deputy J. Brown, Deputy J. Hilmo, Sgt. Strouth and Const. Stephens responded and secured the cows off the roadway.

10:15 - Deputy Haman checked out with a disabled vehicle on Hwy 290 West near the county line. The occupants advised they were getting something out of the back of their car.

10:36 - Sgt. Strouth, Deputy Haman, Deputy J. Brown, Deputy J. Hilmo and Chief Garza responded to a possible break in on Warren Road. The caller reported hearing what she believed to be someone attempting to break into her house. The house was secure and no one was near the house.

11:45 - Deputy Haman checked out with an 18 wheeler on Hwy 21 at CR 430. The driver advised he was checking his log book.

13:53 - A vehicle was abandoned at a car wash in Giddings near Santa Fe Steakhouse. Deputy Haman checked out with the vehicle and tried to make contact with the owner. No contact was made, and the car wash was going to have the vehicle towed. No report taken.

14:39 - A complainant requested a deputy to come to his residence on FM 141. He stated that some items were stolen out of his truck. Deputy Haman responded and made contact with the complainant. Information was taken for a report.

17:41 - Dispatch received multiple calls about cows out on FM 3403. Deputy Hilmo responded and made contact with the owner. The cows were removed from the roadway.

19:19 - Deputy Rodriguez checked out with a vehicle that had flashers on near the overpass at Hwy 77 and Hwy 21. Everything was fine and the driver got back on the road.

20:16 - A motorist reported a cow out on FM 141 near PR 1414. Deputy Crenshaw responded and removed the cow from the roadway.

21:39 - A caller advised that her juvenile daughter was causing problems at residence on Yegua Street in Lexington. It was stated that the juvenile was yelling and cussing in the front yard. Cpl. West and Deputy Rodrigues responded and the juvenile was taken to a residence on Hester Street to calm down.

 

February 15, 2023

04:05 - Sgt. Young checked out with a disabled vehicle on Hwy 290 East. The driver advised they pulled over to rest for a bit. The driver was advised to get further off the roadway.

04:35 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 141 about 4 miles outside of the city limits. Deputy Crenshaw located the cow and secured it off the roadway.

10:00 - Pct. 1 Commissioner advised people were disregarding the signs he put out for road work. He stated that vehicles were still passing through, and was concerned for the safety of his employees. Deputy E. Hilmo and Sgt. Ray patrolled the area and made one traffic stop. Other motorists were spoken to but no other traffic violations occurred.

11:05 - A male subject requested a welfare check on his friend at a residence on CR 430 but was unsure of the exact address. Deputy E. Hilmo and Sgt. Ray responded and spoke with the mail carrier and the FedEx driver but they did not recognize the friend's name. Dispatch and Deputy E. Hilmo made attempts to call the reporting party back but he did not answer. Dispatch left a message.

11:06 - Lt. Adams and Capt. Mastronardi conducted a warrant service on Cameron Road in Austin. Subject was apprehended and transported back to the Lee County Jail for booking.

12:30 - A complainant called to report that a male subject was harassing her. She wanted a deputy to call the subject and tell him to leave her alone. Deputy E. Hilmo spoke with the complainant, and tried to contact the subject but he did not answer.

12:57 - A motorist reported a one vehicle accident on FM 112. He stated that a truck pulling a goose neck trailer ran off the roadway, and the occupants were trying to unhook the trailer. The motorist attempted to make contact with the occupants but they took off at a high rate of speed towards Taylor when they couldn't unhook the trailer. No units were in the area at the time of call. Williamson County was notified.

15:31 - Deputy E. Hilmo and Sgt. Ray responded to a call regarding a subject partially in the roadway. The caller stated that the subject was on a bike with a stroller about 3 miles south of Lexington on Hwy 77. The subject was located on Hwy 77 near CR 405 and given a courtesy ride to Cefco in Lexington.

17:58 - Bastrop County advised of a reckless driver traveling eastbound on Hwy 290 West. At the time of call, the vehicle was entering Paige. Deputy Kocurek located and stopped the vehicle at the 2300 blk of Hwy 290 West. Contact was made with the driver.

19:27 - Deputy Dudley advised he was out with a subject on a bike with no lights on Hwy 77 at Fourth Street in Lexington. Contact was made with the subject, and he was given a warning.

20:46 - A motorist reported a reckless driver on FM 696 West that was swerving and failing to maintain a single lane of traffic. Before a deputy could be dispatched, the vehicle pulled into a driveway. Information was taken.

20:49 - Dispatch received a call about a reckless driver on Hwy 290. The caller advised that she was heading Eastbound and the vehicle was heading Westbound into oncoming traffic. At the time of the call, the vehicles were coming into the city limits of Giddings. Information was given to Giddings PD.

21:43 - Deputy Ellington checked out with an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 290 West. Deputy Dudley and Sgt. Holloway responded as back up. The owner showed up on scene, and information was gathered. The owner was given citations, and the vehicle was secured off the roadway.

 

February 16, 2023

01:06 - A caller reported a vehicle in the turn lane of Hwy 290 West near the bowling alley. The caller stated that the vehicle was hard to see even though the flashers were on. Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dudley and Deputy Kocurek responded and made contact with the driver. Deputy Dudley advised that Govan's was enroute to remove the vehicle from the roadway.

02:10 - Deputy Dudley conducted a traffic stop on E. Austin Street and requested back up. Sgt. Holloway and Deputy Ellington responded. One male subject was detained and came back wanted out of Brazos County. The subject was arrested and booked into the county jail. A report was taken.

04:23 - Dispatch received a call about a loose white horse on the side of the road on Hwy 290 near CR 205. Deputy Ellington checked the area but was unable to locate the horse.

07:51 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 219 close to Camp Tejas. Deputy E. Hilmo and Deputy Turner checked the area but were unable to locate any loose livestock.

08:18 - Sgt. Jones to FM 141 near the Yegua Bridge for loose cattle. Contact was made with a subject on scene and advised who the cattle belong to. Sgt. Jones was able to run the cattle off the roadway. Contact was made with the owner who was on his way to secure the cows.

12:39 - A subject came into the Sheriff's Office from requesting assistance in locating a subject in Lee County. The subject advised that he had purchased some property in San Antonio but is having trouble closing because the property is titled under the other subject's name. Deputy Webber was able to obtain a phone number for the property owner. Contact was made with the property owner, and he advised he would come to the Sheriff's Office to meet. The issue was resolved.

13:22 - Deputy E. Hilmo and Deputy Turner were dispatched to a business on Hwy 290 West in reference to criminal mischief. The complainant advised that 2 subjects tried stealing the catalytic converter from an employee's vehicle. The subjects left going eastbound on Hwy 290 towards Giddings in a grey SUV. Giddings PD was advised to be on the lookout for the SUV. The deputies made contact with the complainant, owner of the vehicle and a witness. A report was taken for criminal mischief.

14:50 - Sgt. Jones conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 290 East at CR 233. The vehicle was occupied by four subjects. A vehicle search was conducted and drugs were located. Two subjects came back with warrants out of Brazoria and Burleson counties. Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail for booking on warrants and local charges.

16:59 - A citizen came into the Sheriff's Office requesting a civil standby at a residence on CR 209. She stated that she had some belongings that she needed to pick up. Due to a high call volume, Sgt. Holloway advised her to call back and schedule a civil standby.

17:03 - A motorist reported loose cattle out on Hwy 21 East near CR 114. Deputy E. Hilmo located the loose cattle and ran them off the roadway.

17:21 - Dispatch received a call about a one vehicle accident on FM 2440 about 5 miles west of Giddings. The caller advised that the vehicle was on its side, and the driver is out of the vehicle. Deputy Dudley responded and advised he would be conducting field sobriety test on the driver. The driver was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Deputy Ellington, Sgt. Holloway and Sgt. Ray assisted with traffic control for the wrecker.

17:57 - Deputy Kocurek responded to Hwy 21 near FM 3403 for a black cow out on the roadway. The deputy searched the area but did not see any loose livestock.

18:17 - A complainant advised that his neighbor's cattle are still getting onto his property on CR 430. He tried to make contact with the neighbor but got no response. Due to high call volume, the deputies were unable to respond but information was taken.

18:26 - A motorist reported a black molly faced cow out on Hwy 21 near CR 114. Deputy Ellington was enroute to the call when dispatch received another call that was more pressing. Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Kocurek, and Deputy Ellington went back in search of the black cow after receiving multiple calls. The deputies were unable to locate the cow.

18:38 - Deputy Kocurek and Deputy Ellington were dispatched to Avenue G in Lexington for a fight in progress. Dispatch received a 911 call from a subject that stated he was walking his dog and his neighbor made a remark towards him about him walking his dog. After words were exchanged, the two male subjects started to physically fight. The complainant's dog also bit both subjects. Deputy Kocurek went to the neighbor's house on Hester Street to gather further information. Deputy Ellington remained on scene of the fight to gather information from the complainant. Both subjects will be cited for fighting in public.

19:21 - A caller reported 2 to 3 black cows out on CR 127 near CR 119. Deputy Kocurek searched the area but was unable to locate the cattle.

19:26 - A resident on CR 106 called 911 to report that her ex-boyfriend told her he was going to her residence to retrieve some belongings. She advised him to not come on her property. The male subject came to the residence and drove off. Deputy Ellington and Sgt. Holloway went to the residence to obtain information from the resident to get a Criminal Trespass Warning put into place. A report was taken as well.

19:53 - Sgt. Holloway and Deputy Ellington dispatched to Bubba's in Dime Box for a suspicious person. The caller stated that there was a male subject at the truck stop that had been praying over the coffee machine for 30 minutes. She requested a deputy to make contact with the subject. The male subject left prior to deputies' arrival, and was not able to be located.

21:18 - Giddings PD advised of a two vehicle accident in front of the Dollar Tree. Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Kocurek and Deputy Ellington responded to the call and assisted with the crash. Giddings VFD and EMS also responded to the accident.

21:27 - Bastrop County transferred a 911 call from a resident on Post Oak Drive. The caller wanted to report that his two dogs were missing and wanted a deputy to come out and look for them. He also stated he wanted a deputy to look at his uncle's property to check and see if it had been vandalized. Deputy Dudley attempted to make contact with the caller but was unable to do so.

21:38 - Sgt. Holloway and Deputy Kocurek responded to a call about a suspicious person at the Country Store in Dime Box. The caller stated that a male subject was pacing back and forth in front of the store. The deputies searched the area for the subject but were unable to locate him.

21:57 - Dispatch received a 911 from a complainant that stated her car had been hit or damaged at the Giddings State School. Deputy Ellington responded and advised the complainant on what she could do since the incident occurred on state property.

 

February 17, 2023

03:21 - The caller on Post Oak Drive called again to report his dogs were still missing. Deputy Dudley made contact with the caller and advised him on what he could do. No report was taken at the time.

06:51 - ADT advised of an alarm at a business on Hwy 290. Deputy J. Hilmo and Sgt. Strouth responded and made contact with a driver who accidently set the alarm off.

07:31 - A 911 caller advised that his dogs were still missing from Post Oak Drive in Elgin. He wanted to speak to a deputy to see what his options were. Deputy Haman spoke with the caller.

08:15 - A complainant requested to speak to a deputy about hay being stolen from his property. Deputy J. Brown made contact with the complainant, and information was taken for a report.

09:05 Deputy Haman checked out with a disabled vehicle on Hwy 77 at CR 223. The trailer had a blow out, and Deputy Haman provided traffic control while they changed the tire.

10:05 - Deputy J. Hilmo and Sgt. Strouth stopped out with a disabled vehicle on Hwy 21 near FM 3403. The vehicle was secured and clear of the roadway. The deputies red tagged the vehicle.

11:03 - A complainant came in to the Sheriff's Office to speak with an investigator about a case follow up. Capt. Mastronardi spoke with the complainant and information was taken.

13:58 - A caller reported three cows out on the roadway on CR 118 near AJ's. Sgt. Strouth and Deputy J. Hilmo responded but were unable to locate any loose livestock.

14:43 - Sgt. Strouth, Deputy Haman, Deputy J. Brown and Deputy J. Hilmo assisted EMS with a 911 call on CR 430. The caller stated that a male subject has possibly taken 3 days worth of his medication at one time. EMS was paged out to the residence. The caller called back stating that the subject took off on foot down the CR 430. The subject was located and returned back to the residence for EMS to evaluate. Deputy J. Hilmo and Sgt. Strouth stayed on scene until ems arrived. Information was taken for a report.

15:38 - Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown checked out with a disabled vehicle partially blocking the road next to Bubba's Truck Stop. Contact was made with the driver who advised he was just waiting for someone.

16:59 - Deputy Haman assisted a motorist on Hwy 77 South. The driver advised they were having drive shaft problems. Deputy Haman escorted them into Giddings.

17:05 - A caller requested a civil standby at a business on Hwy 77 for a custody exchange. Deputy Haman and Deputy J Brown responded and no issues occurred.

18:26 - A caller advised of multiple cows out on CR 119 near CR 127. Deputy Crenshaw responded and removed the cattle from roadway. Deputy also advised the fence appears to not be finished in the area, and will possibly get further calls.

18:35 - Sgt. Strouth advised of debris in the roadway on Hwy 21 near FM 3403. The deputy cleared the roadway.

18:46 - A motorist reported a semi driving on Hwy 77 just north of Lexington that had no trailer lights. The motorist also advised that the trailer had something dragging that was causing sparks. All county units notified but none were the in area. Information was passed on to Milam County.

23:00 - Sgt. Young, Cpl. West, Deputy Crenshaw and Deputy Rodriguez responded to a call on CR 231 in reference to a noise complaint. The caller stated that she could here loud music coming from an area near her residence. All units checked the area and were able to locate a party on CR 230. Contact was made with the owner of the residence who advised the party would be over by midnight.

 

February 18, 2023

01:30 - Dispatch received another noise complaint on CR 230. All units checked the area but were unable to locate any loud music.

02:11 - Cpl. West advised of an alarm going off at Autozone. Giddings PD was notified and units checking the area. No suspicious activity found and building was secure.

08:26 - A complainant on CR 413 wanted to speak to a deputy about pressing charges against someone that borrowed her dump trailer and hasn't returned it. Deputy Haman met with the complainant and advised her to contact JP3.

09:16 - Reserve Deputy Terpstra was out with a stranded motorist on Hwy 290 at CR 138. The deputy stayed on scene until the driver was back on the road.

10:46 - A resident on CR 404 advised that a female subject on her property removing belongings and had taken some of the complainant's belongings as well. Sgt. Strouth Deputy Haman, Deputy Brown, Deputy J. Hilmo and Reserve Deputy Terpstra responded to the call and met with both parties. The female subject will be back at a later date to pick up her car and request a civil standby when this occurs. A criminal trespass warning was also issued to the subject.

12:05 - Reserve Deputy Terpstra advised he was out with a horse running northbound on Hwy 77 in Lexington. The horse was secured on property located on N. Rockdale Street. The property owner stated the horse could stay on her property until the owner was located.

12:18 - A caller advised that three cows were on her property on CR 118 that did not belong to her. Deputy J. Brown responded but the cows were gone upon arrival.

12:30 - A complainant wanted to speak to a deputy about some criminal mischief that was occurring on his property on CR 107. Deputy Haman met with the complainant, and information was taken for a report.

12:46 - A 911 caller advised of a car vs motorcycle accident on Hwy 77 in front of Zochnet. Sgt. Strouth, Deputy Haman, Deputy J. Hilmo and Reserve Deputy Terpstra assisted Lincoln VFD with the accident. No injuries were reported. Information was taken for a crash report.

13:35 - Deputy J. Brown and Reserve Deputy Terpstra were dispatched to CR 118 for loose cattle. The motorist stated that three cows were out that get out all the time and usual go to a property across the RR tracks. The cattle were located, and a report was taken.

15:02 - An alarm company reported a medical alarm push button that was activated twice in the last 12 hours at a residence on CR 107. The alarm company has not been able to reach the resident via phone. Deputy Haman responded and made contact with the resident. She was outside with her husband who had fallen and cut his arm. Deputy Haman was able to assist without EMS.

17:40 - Cpl. West was dispatched to a call about several cows out at the Yegua bridge on FM 141. The deputy checked the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

17:47 - A clerk at the Country Store in Dime Box called in stating Burleson County had dropped off a male subject that needed a courtesy ride to the Pilot in Paige. Deputy Crenshaw responded but was gone upon arrival.

18:14 - Sgt. Strouth advised he located the subject from the Country Store walking on Hwy 21 near CR 430. Deputy Crenshaw responded and gave the subject was given a ride to the Pilot in Paige.

18:26 - Dispatch received multiple calls about a longhorn near the roadway on FM 1697 near CR 127. Cpl. West checked the area but was unable to locate the longhorn.

18:52 - A motorist reported a black cow out on CR 205 near Hwy 290. Sgt. Young and Deputy Rodriguez checked the area but were unable to locate the cow.

19:22 - Sgt. Young and Deputy Rodriguez were dispatched to a residence on Hwy 290 West for a missing white female horse. Information was taken for a report.

19:50 - A resident on CR 232 called to report what sounded like an explosion near her residence. Deputy Crenshaw made contact with the resident who advised she believed the explosion may have come from the Ledbetter area. The deputy checked the area but was unable to locate any suspicious activity.

21:40 - Sgt. Young, Cpl. West, Deputy Crenshaw and Deputy Rodriguez were dispatched to CR 314 for theft. The complainant stated there was broken glass and multiple items missing from his home. A report was taken

23:03 - Sgt. Young and Deputy Rodriguez checked out with an abandoned vehicle on CR 309 near the Blue VFD. The vehicle was unoccupied and safely off the roadway.

23:34 - Dispatch received a call from a male subject stating he had been assaulted by another male subject at his residence on PR 8062. Sgt. Young, Cpl. West, Deputy Crenshaw and Deputy Rodriguez responded to the scene. Deputies were flagged down by someone on CR 426 just before the private road. Deputy Rodriguez advised it was both parties. The parties were separated, and no report was taken.

 

February 19, 2023

00:51 - Sgt. Young and Deputy Rodriguez checked out with an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 21 at Hwy 77. The vehicle was unoccupied and safely off the roadway. There was a note that advised the owner would come get the vehicle as soon as possible.

07:44 - A 911 caller stated she was in fear for her life because her grandmother was screaming and waving a gun around. The caller advised that started around 6am and her grandmother was still yelling. Sgt. Strouth, Deputy Haman, Deputy J. Brown and Deputy J. Hilmo responded to the call on CR 430. Deputies made contact with the grandmother who stated she went outside to fire the gun to scare off dogs that were not hers and tearing up her trash Both parties were spoken to and no offense occurred.

07:55 - Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown were dispatched to FM 141 about 4 miles south of Dime Box for cows out. The area was checked but the deputies were unable to locate any loose livestock.

09:19 - A complainant called from Austin stating that his mother, who lives off FM 3403, was refusing to give him the keys to his vehicle parked at her address. He requested a civil standby at 10:30am, Sgt. Strouth, Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Hilmo made contact with the mother who the vehicle is registered to, and advised her this is a civil matter.

10:15 - Deputy J. Brown advised he was out on Hwy 290 at FM 180 picking up some wood that fell off a trailer. Outside lane of traffic was blocked so the deputy could remove the debris from the roadway.

11:38 - A caller advised of a cow on the side of the road that appears to have a broken leg at the intersection of FM 1697 and CR 124. Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown responded and advised there were skid marks and several car parts found including license plate at the location. Contact was attempted with registered owner of vehicle. The cow was dispatched.

11:40 - Sgt. Strouth and Deputy J. Hilmo were dispatched to PR 8049 to meet with a complainant about items stolen from his property. Information was taken about some stolen fire arms, and the complainant was given a statement form to fill out once he got the serial numbers. No report taken at this time.

13:46 - Bastrop County transferred a call for a disabled motorist who advised that his daughter had ran out of gas on Hwy 290 West near CR 202. Deputy Haman responded and located the stranded motorist. The deputy was able to get the driver some gas and back on the road.

14:57 - Sgt. Strouth spoke with a complainant via phone in reference to his neighbor not fixing the fence as promised. The complainant also stated that his neighbor's cow keep coming onto his yard. The complainant was advised that Lee County is an open range county and this would be a civil matter.

15:40 - Dispatch received a 911 call about cows out at FM 141 and CR 430. Deputy Haman responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

19:30 - Sgt. Young checked out with an abandoned vehicle on CR 202. The vehicle was unoccupied and off the roadway. Vehicle was red tagged.

20:36 - A resident reported a suspicious flying object near her home on CR 401. Sgt. Young checked the area and advised it was possibly a communication dish that was moving slightly due to the wind.

20:59 - A 911 caller reported an accident involving a semi and a passenger car that both had struck cows in the roadway on Hwy 21 just east of Hwy 77. Sgt. Young came across the accident while on the way to another call. Cpl. West and Deputy Rodriguez responded for assistance. Lincoln VFD was paged for traffic control. Sgt. Young advised there were no injuries. Roadway was cleared and a crash report was taken.

22:51 - Sgt. Young was dispatched to FM 112 near CR 314 for a one vehicle accident. The driver stated that he hit a hog and was safely off the roadway but the vehicle was disabled. Sgt. Young was able to assist the driver with removing the bumper and getting the vehicle back on the roadway. The roadway was cleared of any debris.
