December 5, 2022

0715 - Several calls about a heard of cows out next to Hwy 77 North and FM 3403. Another caller stated there is a big gap in the fence, as if someone ran through the fence on the west bound side of Hwy 77. Cpl. West, Chief Garza, and Constable Stephens responded. All cattle were put back in pasture; land owner was there to repair the fence.

0922 - A caller reported two cows out on CR 430 near Hwy 21. Sgt. Young responded and removed the cows from the roadway.

1245 - A complainant at Elm Creek RV Park on Hwy 21 stated there were two medium sized dogs in a small kennel on the porch. The dogs have been there since the previous night with no food or water. Sgt. Young spoke with the owner who took the dogs inside.

1324 - Sgt. Young and Lt. Adams responded to a call about a juvenile runaway in Lexington. The juvenile was found and returned to their residence.

1433 - Trooper Pennartz advised of a stolen University Of Texas PD unit heading east bound on Hwy 290. The vehicle was located and Troopers Pennartz and McCoy stopped the vehicle on US 290 at the east Giddings City limits. One subject was placed in custody and transported to jail.

1525 - A complainant wanted to speak to a deputy about her neighbor's cows crossing her ravine on her property. Cpl. West called and spoke to the complainant on the matter.

1906 - Dispatch received an EMS call for an individual at Cefco in Lexington. Deputy Haman responded also to provide assistance. EMS transported the subject.

2022 - A caller reported she thought someone was breaking into her home but was unable to provide address before line disconnected. Sgt. Strouth, Deputy Haman and Deputy Brown responded to the residence. Everything was clear with no one on the property.

 

December 6, 2022

0754 - Sgt. Young responded to a call about a motorist who struck a deer on CR 124 near the bridge close to Burleson County line.

0755 - A 911 call was received with only noise on the line before the call disconnected. Capt. Mastronardi, Sgt. Ray, and Cpl. West all responded. Everything was fine.

0829 - Sgt. Young responded to a call about two cows out on FM 141. The cows were removed from the roadway.

0856 - A complainant called 911 stating he could hear gun fire around his house. Deputy Dickerson responded and found no gunshots being fired. The complainant would like to talk to a deputy about his neighbors. Sgt. Young responded.

0930 - Sgt. Young assisted Trooper Pennartz and Lincoln Fire with a two vehicle accident on FM 1624.

1515 - Lt. Adams reported he was out with loose livestock on FM 696. The cattle were put into a pasture.

1545 - A suspicious person was reported near Walch Store. Sgt. Young responded.

1709 - A 911 call was received from a motorist with a flat tire on US 290. Cpl. West responded and was able to assist the motorist.

2010 - Dispatch received a call about a reckless driver on FM 696. Deputy Brown located the vehicle parked on the side of the roadway and made contact with the driver. He advised he was fatigued and going to rest.

2309 - Deputy Haman responded to a call about a cow out on FM 141. The cow was removed from the roadway.

2318 - A caller reported that an accident occurred in a pond near a bridge. Trooper McCoy and Deputy Haman responded. The incident occurred on private property. Vehicle was removed by property owners.

2313 - Sgt. Strouth responded to a call about a dog attacking a goat on CR 430. A report was taken.

 

December 7, 2022

0003 - Deputy Haman assisted Giddings PD with a call of a male with a gun off Nails Creek Road.  

0138 - Sgt. Strouth responded to a silent 911 call on Caldwell St. in Lexington.  The caller advised it was a misdial.

1002 - A call was received reporting someone had stolen four wrought iron chairs off the front porch of a place of business located on FM 141. Deputy Dudley met with business owner and information was gathered for a report.   

1135 - A complainant from earlier called back requesting Deputy Dudley to come back out to FM 141 for a vender who stated that someone had also stolen chairs off his property and wants to make a report. Deputy Dudley contacted the owner of the property via phone and he stated that he did not want to file a report at this time.

1149 - Deputy Webber responded to a residence on CR 404 for a reported stolen vehicle. A report was taken and the vehicle was entered as stolen.      

1347 - A resident on SH 21 reported a car parked halfway up her driveway. Deputy Webber met with the resident who stated the vehicle left right after she called 911.

1616 - A complainant came to the Sheriff's Office to speak with a deputy about relatives stealing items off of her property while she is out on a job site. Sgt. Ray met with the complainant who advised she would contact him at a later time if she desired to file charges.

2124 - Sgt. Jones, Deputy Dickerson, and Deputy Turner responded to an accident on FM 2239 involving a vehicle and a cow. Deputies made scene and determined that the accident occurred in Bastrop County. Bastrop County was notified with information of accident. A Bastrop County deputy arrived on scene.

 

December 8, 2022

0026 - Sgt. Jones and Deputy Dickerson assisted Giddings PD with a noise complaint located at the Country Inn.

0054 - Deputy Dickerson conducted a traffic stop located on US 290. Two subjects were arrested and booked into the Lee County jail.

0247 - A motorist reported cows out on FM 696. Sgt. Jones responded to the call and removed the cattle from the roadway. A message was left with the owners.

0835 - A complaint was received regarding an aggressive dog in the complainant's back yard that does not belong to them. Deputy Dudley responded and observed a large white dog in the backyard. Information was taken from the complainant and will be forwarded to the Lexington PD for a follow up.

1106 - Milam County advised that a man was camping out on the side of the road on CR 412 just off of HWY 77. The caller wanted a deputy to check on him to make sure he is ok. Deputy Webber drove down CR 412 and did not see anyone.

1353 - Giddings PD called requesting a deputy to try and make contact with a resident on CR 424 regarding prank phone calls. A deputy responded and spoke with the resident.

1403 -Deputy Dudley met with a complainant on FM 180 in reference to his neighbor's hogs that were coming onto his property and eating all his feed. The deputy spoke with the neighbor who admitted the hogs were a problem, and they are trying to build a fence to contain them. The hogs were observed pinned inside a make shift pin to prevent them from going onto to the property.

1641 - Lt. Adams assisted Trooper McCoy with a one vehicle accident. The complainant stated that someone ran through a gate and into a pasture. DPS took the accident report.

1740 - ADT called to report a burglar alarm off CR 111. Deputy Dickerson responded and advised everything is okay.

1757 -Sgt. Jones, Deputy Dickerson, and Deputy Turner responded to a disturbance on Kay Street. Parties were separated for the night.

1800 - A call was received regarding a two vehicle accident that occurred on Hwy 290 near the Cotton Bowl. Trooper McCoy investigated the accident.

2011 - A motorist reported some longhorn cattle out on Hwy 21 near CR 454. Deputy Turner responded and removed the cattle from the roadway.

 

December 9, 2022

0807 - College Station PD called stating they were tracking a stolen vehicle going west on HWY 21. Sgt. Young located and stopped the vehicle. A male subject was arrested and brought to the SO. The vehicle was recovered.

1145 - Two cows were reported out on HWY 21 and CR 327. Cpl. West responded and removed the cows from the roadway.

1906 - Deputy Haman responded to a residence on CR 312 in reference to missing chickens. The complainant wanted to meet with a deputy. No contact was able to be made with the complainant.

1933 - A complainant called to report that a neighbor was driving his 4-wheeler on his property and yelling at him. Deputy Brown responded and the parties were separated.

 

December 10, 2022

0348 - Sgt. Strouth and Deputy Brown responded to a call about an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch on CR 426 at the railroad tracks. Damage was found to the railroad crossing sign which was blocking the tracks. Union Pacific was contacted and advised of the damaged property. The vehicle was towed.

0640 - A call was received reporting a black colt loose next to the roadway on FM 3403. Corporal West responded and removed the colt from the roadway.

1027 - Cpl. West responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 117 near Nails Creek at the high game fence. The vehicle was found to be involved in an accident.

1315 - A complainant called to report two black cows out on HWY 21 just west of HWY 77. Sgt. Young responded and removed the cattle from the roadway.

1558 - Cpl. West met with a complainant on CR 113 at FM 2440 in reference to the neighbor's dogs.

1637 - Sgt. Young took a runaway report and she was entered in as a person.

2221 - Deputy Haman advised of a motorist assist on HWY 290 near Altman plant. The tire was changed.

2234 - A caller reported a vehicle that had slid off the roadway on Hwy 77 near CR 405. Sgt. Strouth and Deputy Brown responded and advised the vehicle was unoccupied and off the roadway.

2338 - A complainant advised of loud music on Austin St. Deputy Haman responded and the music was turned down.

 

December 11, 2022

0404 - Sgt. Strouth advised of a phone box that appeared to be damaged on CR 309 near scenic view. Information was taken for a report.

0753 - Reserve Deputy Terpstra checked out with an abandoned vehicle in the ditch on HWY 77 near CR 405.

0858 - A call was received regarding a vehicle parked at an empty house located on Avenue C in Lexington. Reserve Deputy Terpstra responded to the call.

1250 - Reserve Deputy Terpstra responded to a call regarding a wallet that had been found in Dime Box. The deputy returned the wallet to the owner.

1350 - A motorist stated that they lost control of their vehicle, ran off the road and struck a fence on HWY 21. DPS responded and took a crash report

1426 - A black cow was reported out on CR 336 and FM 112. Reserve Deputy Terpstra responded and removed the cow from the roadway.

1624 - Cpl. West met with a complainant regarding a criminal trespass warning.

1933 - A reckless driver was reported on HWY 290 east heading west bound. Sgt. Strouth located and stopped the vehicle.

2017 - Sgt Strouth responded to a call about a welfare concern on an individual on CR 428. Contact was made with the individual.

2049 - Sgt. Strouth and Deputy Brown responded to a call of someone knocking on doors on Fifth St. in Lexington. The area was checked but no one was located.

2323 - Dispatch received a 911 call and could hear yelling before the phone disconnected. The call pinged at an address off Hwy 290. Sgt. Strouth, Deputy Haman and Deputy Brown responded to the call. Subjects had left prior to the deputies' arrival.

2351 - Deputy Haman advised of a motorist assist on CR 200.
