October 31, 2022

1001 - A complainant came to the Sheriff's Office to speak with a deputy regarding possible fraudulent activity. Deputy Dudley met with the complainant and no report was taken at the time.

1100 - A resident on W FM 696 called and reported that his dog was attacked by three dogs. The resident stated that the dogs broke through the fence and attacked his dog ripping flesh off of his snout. Deputy Dickerson met with the complainant who did not want to make a report; he just wanted the dogs off of his property. Deputy Dickerson was able to chase the dogs off of the property.

1121 - Sgt. Holloway conducted a welfare check on a resident on FM 141. Everything was doing fine.

1744 - Dispatch received a 911 call about a juvenile male that was bitten by the neighbor's dog. EMS was paged out to the residence on E Austin St. Sgt. Holloway and Deputies Dickerson and Dudley spoke with the caller who was concerned that the dog may not be current on its vaccinations. A report was taken.

1758 - A motorist reported a cow out on FM 141 a couple of miles north of Giddings. Deputy Strouth located the cow and removed it from the road way.

2005 - A caller reported some criminal mischief on Cherry Drive. Some kids egged the car and toilet papered the trees. Sgt Jones responded to the scene nut was unable to locate the possible kids that did it.

2006 - The Sheriff's Office received reports of cows out on CR 114 near the Silver Spur Ranch. Deputy Strouth located the cows and ran them off the road way.

2036 - Deputy Strouth responded to a residence on Shady Oaks St for a report of a missing person. While on scene, the missing person made contact with her father and spoke with the deputy. She sated she was fine.

2136 - Sgt. Jones conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 21 near PR 8023. It was determined that the driver was intoxicated. The subject was taken to jail for driving while intoxicated.

2255 - A motorist reported a cow out on FM 696 near Jackson Store. Deputy Strouth searched the area but did not locate any loose livestock.

 

November 1,2022

0733 - Dispatch received a 911 call from a motorist who had hit a deer on Hwy 290 near Altman Plants. The airbags were deployed and the vehicle was disabled in the lane of traffic. Trooper Pennartz was dispatched to the scene. Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dickerson and Deputy Dudley assisted with traffic control. A crash report was taken.

0804 - A caller advised of a large black cow out on W FM 696 one mile West of the Jackson Store. Sgt. Holloway checked the area and did not see any loose livestock.

0953 - The Sheriff's Office received a report about a male subject dancing in the middle of FM 141 at CR 116. Deputy Dickerson responded to the area but the subject was gone on arrival.

1627 - Deputy Dickerson assisted a caller with a loose dog on FM 619. The caller stated a large white dog was running loose in the roadway and he was trying to run it off the roadway. The deputy and caller were able to run the dog off the roadway.

1914 - A motorist reported a cow out at Blue Ridge Dr. Sgt. Jones searched the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

2042 - Sgt. Jones conducted a traffic stop at CR 305. Upon stopping the vehicle, one subject bailed out on foot. Deputy Strouth and Trooper McCoy responded to the area to assist. The subject was located and identified. A report was taken.

2120 - A caller advised of a cow out on FM 1697 near FM 180. Sgt. Jones searched the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

2225 - Deputy Strouth was dispatched to FM 1624 near CR 326 for loose livestock. The deputy searched the area but it was foggy and no loose livestock was located.

 

November 2, 2022

0605 - A call was received to reporting a cow out near Blue Fire Station. Deputy Young responded. Deputy Young was rerouted to an accident. The cow was returned to property by the caller.

0605 - A call was received from Bastrop Sheriff's Office of an 18-wheeler with no tail lights. The call was routed and information was passed to Burleson County as units responding to a reported crash.

0623 - A 911 call was received of a one vehicle accident. The vehicle struck a cow. Deputy Young, Blue VFD responded. No injuries were reported and EMS cancelled. The owner of the struck livestock was contacted.

0748 - Deputy Young responded to a call reporting 3 cows out on County Road 219. Owner retrieved the livestock.

1001 - A call was received to report a calf out. Deputy Young was unable to locate livestock.

1020 - A 911 call was received of a car fire. Giddings FD and Giddings PD responded.

1033 - A vehicle was red-tagged by Deputy Young on FM 696 West.

1059 - A call was received to reporting a cow out on County Road 116. Deputy Young was unable to locate the cow.

1115 - Deputy Webber responded to a call of a calf on FM 696. The calf was unable to be located.

1420 - Deputy Young responded to a report of three cows were reported out on County Road 114.

1531 Deputy Haman assisted Giddings PD with a one vehicle accident on E Austin and N Madison.

1701 - A call was received to file a complaint of tires being thrown onto his property. Deputy Young responded.

1735 - A complainant came to the Sheriff's Office to report a stolen or lost license. Deputy Haman responded and report taken.

1740 - Sgt. McAnally responded to a report of a cow out on County Road 133.

1825 - A call was received of neighbor's cattle on property on County Road 113. Deputy Haman responded and owner notified.

2325 - Deputy Brown and Deputy Haman responded with Sgt. McAnally to Lexington for an alarm. All doors secure. No report.

2355 - A call was received stating 2 cows were out on County Road 114. Sgt. McAnally responded. The cows were removed from roadway.

2242 - Sgt. McAnally responded to a call of a cow out on FM 141. The cow was removed from roadway.

 

November 3, 2022

0218 - Deputy Haman responded to a request for assistance from Williamson County for a possible disturbance on County Road 484. Bastrop County deputies also responded. All was ok.

0609 - A call came in reporting a vehicle in a pond on County Road 327. Deputy Young and Deputy Webber responded. Driver was contacted and returned to location. Towing company was contacted.

0653 - Deputy Webber responded to a call involving a passed out driver partially blocking FM 606. Upon arrival, Deputy Webber requested EMS for the driver.

0755 - Deputy Young responded to a call requesting assistance to remove a skunk from inside a residence. Animal was retrieved and returned to the wild.

0910 - Deputy Webber responded to assistance request by B&M Towing to help with traffic control on Hwy 21 at CR113.

1007 - Deputy Webber responded to a call from an alarm company for a business located in Lexington which had activated a silent alarm. Alarm was being tested.

1028 - Deputy Young responded to a call from an individual in Dime Box about firearms, ammunition and a neighboring residence.

1155 - A call was received about 2 cows and a bull out on FM 141. Deputy Webber responded and was unable to locate any livestock.

1932 - All county units assisted Giddings PD with a shots fired call on North Ellis. The area was checked and two subjects were located that were possibly involved. No arrests were made at the time of the call.

2136 - Two vehicles were stopped on a tip with drivers being arrested. A case was created.

2351 - A call was received reporting cows out on SH 21. Deputy Brown responded. Livestock was off the roadway.

 

November 4, 2022

0731 - A call was received reporting loose cattle on CR114. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley were able to remove the cows from the roadway.

1002 - Deputies Dickerson and Dudley arrested a subject for outstanding felony warrant probation violation. Subject was taken into custody and transported from the adult probation office to the Lee County Jail for booking.

1059 - Giddings PD was alerted that a suspicious vehicle pulled into the auction barn and began loading cattle. Constable Stephens and Deputy Dudley responded.  The truck and trailer were gone on arrival. The owner was contacted.

1125 - Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded to a caller requesting to meet with a deputy at the Country Inn Motel for a welfare/concern check. The deputies and Sgt. Holloway met with the complainant and Deputy Dickerson gave the subject a ride to the Sheriff's Office so she could wait for her ride.

1139 - Sgt. Holloway responded to a call about two loose horses on FM180 near CR132 and was able to return them to where they belong.

1225 - A call was received about a driver who swerved to miss a deer and ran into a fence on CR323.  Deputy Dickerson responded and crash report was created.

1345 - Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dudley and Sgt. Adams responded to a disturbance in the jail. An inmate was moved and placed in the violent cell.

1808 - Deputy Strouth responded to a stranded motorist call on Hwy 21 about 3 miles east of Hwy 77. The vehicle was located off the road and was unoccupied.

1835 - Sirius XM reported an accident involving a deer on Hwy 21 E.  Deputy Strouth and Sgt. Jones responded to the scene. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was off the road way. Wrecker service towed the vehicle.

 

November 5, 2022

0003 - Sgt. Jones came across a cow in the road way on Hwy 21 and CR440. The cow ran off the road way on CR440.

0020 - A call was received about a cow out on FM141 near CR117.  Sgt. Jones ran the cow off the road at 2096 FM141.

0021 - An unknown 911 call was received with no answer on the call back and the line was just static. Deputy Strouth checked the residence but was unable to make contact with anyone at the house.

0624 - Deputies Dudley and Dickerson responded to a call reporting neighbor's aggressive dogs were out. The dogs were located and returned to the owner.  A complaint was filed.

0717 - Sgt. Holloway and Deputies Dudley and Dickerson assisted Giddings PD with a disturbance call at Lazy Oaks Lane. One subject was taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.

0745 - A passing motorist reported three horses out in the ditch on Hwy 77 north of Hwy 21. Sgt. Holloway, Deputy Dickerson and Deputy Dudley ran the horses into a neighboring pasture.

0830 - A call was received about a neighbor's cows out on CR113. Deputy Dickerson and Sgt. Holloway responded and were able to move the cattle back onto neighbor's property.

1017 - A caller reported 6 head of cattle out on CR114. Sgt. Holloway and Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded and ran the cows off the roadway into a pasture.

1235 - A call was received about a pit bull chained on the side of the road on CR330.  Units located the dog and made contact with the owner.  The animal was back on the property and secured.

1257 - A caller requested a close patrol for property on FM696 after a man tried to walk up to the house but was chased off by the owner's dogs.

1559 - Deputy Dickerson reported a red sport travelling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Hwy 290.  Deputy Dudley was in route to assist. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley located the motorcycle where it struck another vehicle and wrecked. Lee County EMS and Giddings VFD were called to the scene. B&M Towing was called and the driver was transported to the hospital. A report was taken.

1809 - Deputy Strouth, Sgt. Jones, Sgt. Holloway and Deputies Dickerson and Dudley all went to Hwy 290 to try and locate a gun the subject from the earlier incident had on him.  The gun was located.

1943 - An accident was reported on CR309 and CR312. Deputy Strouth, Blue VFD and Lee County EMS responded. The subject was ok and had walked away from the accident. Subject was located and report taken.

2012 - Sgt. Jones responded to trespassers reported at a property on CR130. Sgt. Jones made contact with parties involved.

2107 - A call was received about cows out on FM448 near CR214. Sgt. Jones responded and removed the cattle from the road.

2120 - A report of cows out on CR114 was received.  Sgt. Jones responded but could not locate any loose livestock.

2131 - Deputy Strouth responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in Lexington. Deputy Strouth tried to make contact with the owner of the vehicle.

 

November 6, 2022

0707 - Sgt. Holloway responded to a report of cows out on CR114. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley also responded and ran the cattle off the roadway.

1014 - Deputy Dudley assisted Giddings PD with a wanted person driving a vehicle coming into Giddings. The vehicle was located and stopped.  The driver was taken into custody for a fugitive warrant.

1435 - A report of a longhorn out on FM180.  Sgt. Holloway and Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded and were able to remove the cow from the roadway and secure it on FM180.

1805 - A motorist reported a longhorn cow out on FM 180 just off Hwy 290.  Deputy Strouth located the longhorn and ran it back into the fence.

1903 - Sgt. Jones responded to a report of a couple of vehicles that hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and the vehicles were off the roadway. A crash report was taken.

1941 - A call was received requesting to speak to a deputy about a person headed to his property that has been instructed to stay away. Deputy Strouth made contact with the subject.  It is a civil issue and the subject was informed that it is civil and to contact the Justice of the Peace.

0520 - Sgt. Jones came across several head of cattle out on CR108 near CR309. The cattle were removed from the roadway.
