October 3, 2022

0948 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 141 near CR 116. Sergeant Holloway responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

0956 - A complainant reported a male subject on a neighbor's vacant lot. Complainant made contact with the subject and he advised he had permission to be on the property. Deputies Dudley and Dickerson responded to the location on CR A and identified the male subject. Deputy Dudley spoke with the property owner who advised male subject did have permission to be on the property.

1001 - Dime Box ISD requested a Deputy meet with them regarding a vehicle that a dog alerted on in the parking lot. Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dudley and Dickerson responded and met with staff. A PC search was conducted and contraband located inside the vehicle.

1009 - A complainant came into the Sheriff's Office and met with Sergeant Adams regarding thefts occurring in the surrounding counties.

1020 - Sergeant Holloway was advised of a horse out on FM 141. Sergeant Holloway checked the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1734 - A caller reported a calf out on FM 141. Deputy Strouth responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1800 - A complainant came to the Sheriff's Office and met with Deputy L. Brown to give a written statement on a case.

1825 - A caller reported cows out on FM 141. Deputy Strouth responded to the location. The cows' owner was there and cows were put up.

1901 - A complainant on CR 133 reported a dispute between him and a family member. Deputy L. Brown spoke with the complainant.

1911 - A caller reported cows out on FM 3403 near CR 446. Deputy L. Brown responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1917 - A caller reported a cow our on CR 226. Deputy Strouth responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

2130 - A complainant on Austin Street reported a subject was refusing to leave complainant's property after being asked to leave. Deputy L. Brown responded to the scene; subject left prior to Deputies arrival.

                     

October 4, 2022

0016 - A caller reported a male subject walking around near Savannah Park Apartments digging through the trash cans. Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth responded. A report was taken and one subject was booked into Lee County Jail for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

0650 - A caller reported 6 head of cattle out on CR 114 near CR 134. Sergeant Holloway responded and checked the area; roadway was clear.

1115 - Deputies Dudley and Dickerson assisted Giddings PD with a disturbance call on Ellis Street.

1118 - A caller reported loosed cattle on Hwy 77 north of the Giddings High School. Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dudley responded and removed the cattle off the roadway.

1309 - A caller reported a vehicle that had run over a gate and abandoned the vehicle on CR 114A. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded. The vehicle is on private property and no damage to property.

1313 - A caller reported a vehicle parked in the middle of CR 305 close to CR 304.  It appeared to have someone sitting in the vehicle and had been parked for at least 45 minutes. Sergeant Holloway responded and checked the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.

1754 - Sergeant Jones removed two bulls from the roadway on CR 309.

1810 - A complainant requested a Deputy responded to CR 106 for a disturbance. Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth responded to the scene. Parties did not want to press charges so subjects were separated and a report was taken.

2109 - A caller reported a cow out on Hwy 290 near FM 180. Deputy L. Brown was responding when multiple calls came in reporting they hit the cow. All parties involved were okay and no major damage to either vehicle or the cow. Deputy Strouth arrived and assisted keeping the cow off the roadway. While waiting for the owner to arrive, the cow went off into a field.

2202 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 114 at CR 134. Sergeant Jones searched the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

 

October 5, 2022

0000 - Fayette County was working a crash on Hwy 290. Deputy L. Brown assisted with traffic control.

 0300 - Deputy Strouth came across an accident on Hwy 290 near Altman Plants. Subjects in vehicle stated they were side-swiped. Subjects were okay and next rotation was contacted.

0338 - A caller reported several head of cattle out on CR 114 a mile from Hwy 21. Deputy L. Brown responded and six head of cattle were found and run off the roadway.

0719 - A 911 call was received reporting a fuel theft at The Country Store in Dime Box. Corporal West responded.

1000 - A caller reported a bull walking down CR 133 towards FM 180. Deputy Young responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1005 - A caller reported cows on Hwy 290 east of the city limits that appeared to be in bad shape. Corporal West responded but was unable to locate any livestock meeting the description given.

1148 - Deputy Young responded to a request for a civil standby.

1652 - A 911 call was received reporting a male subject ran across Hwy 290 east near the new subdivision and run in between the two water towers. Deputy Young responded.

1657 - A complainant came into the Sheriff's Office regarding making a theft report. Corporal West responded. A theft report for a stolen vehicle was made and vehicle was entered into TCIC/NCIC.

1812 - A caller reported a reckless driver on FM 180 heading north, last seen near CR 128. Deputy J. Brown responded to the area but was unable to locate the described vehicle.

1814 - A caller reported a bull out on CR 130 near FM 180. Deputy J. Brown responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1854 - Deputy J. Brow attempted civil process. Paperwork was served without incident.

1906 - A caller reported a reckless driver on Hwy 290 heading westbound. Deputy J. Brown responded and followed it to CR 205; Deputy did not observe any violations.

1911 - A caller reported a bull out on CR 309. Sergeant McAnally responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1950 - A caller reported a reckless driver on FM 696 west near the Yegua Creek bridge. Sergeant McAnally responded to the area but was unable to locate the described vehicle.

2010 - A complainant reported property damage and theft at a location on Hwy 290. Sergeant McAnally and Deputy J. Brown responded and a report was taken.

2119 - A caller reported several cows in the roadway on CR 306. Sergeant McAnally responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

2155 - A caller reported a female subject walking eastbound on Hwy 21 near the Walsh Store. Sergeant McAnally and Deputy J. Brown responded but were unable to locate the subject.

2235 - A caller reported a house fire on FM 696. Fire and EMS were paged out and Sergeant McAnally and Deputy J. Brown responded.

2314 - A caller reported suspicious activity at a property on CR 118. Sergeant McAnally went enroute from previous call on FM 696 and requested Giddings PD respond until his arrival. Giddings PD made contact with male subject who had permission to be on the property. Follow up call was made to original caller to let them know everything was okay.

 

October 6, 2022

0152 - Deputy Davis from Bastrop County advised a vehicle he attempted to stop on Hwy 290 took off from the traffic stop. All Lee County Units notified. Deputy J. Brown was in the area but was unable to locate the vehicle described.

0223 - A complainant called requesting a Deputy respond to her property on CR 111 for a female subject believed to be trespassing. Sergeant McAnally and Deputy J. Brown made contact with caller and all was okay.

0403 - A caller reported a male subject sitting in the ditch on FM 448. Sergeant McAnally responded and made contact with the subject. Subject was given a courtesy ride into town by Sergeant McAnally.

0619 - AIS, Inc. called about a business alarm going off on CR 234. Sergeant Ray and Deputy Young responded. Deputy Young met with owner and it was determined a burglary had occurred overnight. Deputy Young took a report.

0822 - A caller reported a cow out at 309 near FM 696. Corporal West responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

0842 - A caller reported a calf out on FM 696 and CR 401. Captain Allen responded, located the calf and put it up. No owner was located so Cowboy was called to pick the calf up and calf was taken to Lexington Auction Barn.

0935 - Multiple callers reported horses out on Hwy 290 west of 180. Sergeant Ray responded; horses were behind a fence.

1300 - Corporal West attempted civil process. Paperwork was served without incident.

1441 - A caller reported someone had damaged the door to the water treatment plant which appeared to be bullet holes. Corporal West responded.

1455 - Chief Garza advised she received a call regarding a male subject sitting in the ditch near Germania Cemetery. Deputies Young and Webber, as well as, Chief Garza responded but were unable to locate the subject.

1534 - A complainant came into the Sheriff's Office to file a stolen vehicle report. Sergeant Ray took the report and vehicle was entered into TCIC/NCIC.

1849 - A security company called about a burglary alarm on CR 234. Owner was notified and advised the alarm company that no one should be there. Sergeant McAnally and Deputy J. Brown responded and key holder let them into the building. No sign that entry was made, all checked out okay.

1933 - An employee at CEFCO reported 2 suspicious vans in the parking lot, occupants appeared to be drinking. Sergeant McAnally responded; both vehicles were gone upon arrival.

1949 - A 911 call was received reporting a male subject riding a bicycle in the middle of Hwy 290 near the cemetery heading westbound. Deputy J. Brown responded but was unable to locate the subject.

2003 - Deputy J. Brown advised of a motorist assist on Hwy 290 near CR 200. Occupant was okay and vehicle was back on the roadway.

2140 - Sergeant McAnally advised of cows out on CR 114. Cows were located and removed from the roadway.

2217 - Deputy J. Brown advised of a motorist assist on Hwy 21 near CR 402. Occupant was okay and vehicle was back on the roadway.

 

October 7, 2022

0021 - A complainant reported subject staying on her property may possibly be fighting and requested a Deputy check on them. Sergeant McAnally responded; all checked out okay.

0808 - A caller reported a calf out on CR 133 close to FM 180. Deputy Dudley responded and checked the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1131 - Sergeant Holloway had an abandoned vehicle towed off the roadway on Hwy 21 east.

1145 - A 911 call was received reporting a family member was making threats. Caller advised there were no weapons in or around the home. While caller was on the phone with Dispatch, subject was heard yelling at the caller. Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dudley, Dickerson, Stem and Webber all responded. Male subject was transported and a report taken.

1249 - A complainant reported someone broke into her home and stole items from a purse. Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dudley met with complainant and a report was taken.

1445 - Sergeant Holloway met with subject at Lexington Sale Barn reference an estray.

1708 - Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dudley assisted Giddings PD on Kay Street reference a hit and run.

1745 - Deputy Strouth assisted a motorist with a tire change on Hwy 21 east.

1813 - A complainant on CR 305 reported cattle on his property that did not belong to him and wanted them removed. Sergeant Jones met with complainant, who agreed to keep the cattle on the property until an owner was notified. Complainant was instructed to call back if owner was not found and file an estray.

1836 - A complainant on FM 141 requested Deputies respond to residence for a male subject causing a disturbance. Deputy Strouth made scene and spoke with both parties. Male subject was transported to a relative's house for the night.

1956 - A caller reported someone on his property. Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth responded to the location and made contact with a male subject. One subject was arrested and a report taken.

2317 - A caller reported a crash on CR 231 and CR 230. Another caller reported vehicle hit a pole. Deputy Strouth made scene and a crash report was taken.

 

October 8, 2022

0953 - Multiple calls were received reported loose cattle on Hwy 77 two miles north of Giddings High School. Deputy Stem responded and ran the cattle off the roadway into a wooded area. Dispatch continued to receive calls regarding what appeared to be the same cows. Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dudley and Dickerson responded to the area. Sergeant Holloway advised there was no fence and hard to tell what property the cows are coming from. It appears they were walking along the creek and up to the bridge. One possible owner was contacted and they were going to check to see if the cows were theirs.

1516 - A caller advised he came across a couple, male and female, walking on the side of Hwy 21 near the Hwy 77 off ramp. Couple told the caller their car had broken down and they needed a ride to Louisiana. Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dudley and Dickerson checked Hwy 21 and Hwy 77 but were unable to locate the couple or their vehicle.

1720 - A complainant reported a tow truck arrived to her property on CR 135 and removed an older model vehicle. Caller stated the vehicle doesn't run and doesn't have a lien. Complainant had the incident on camera. Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dickerson, Dudley and Strouth responded. A report was taken.

1730 - Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dickerson and Dudley stopped on CR 130 to put out a small grass fire in the bar ditch.

1808 - Deputy Haman advised someone stated a cow was out on FM 141. Sergeant Jones searched the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1953 - A caller reported goats out on FM 2239. Deputy Strouth searched the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

2023 - Deputy Strouth stopped out with two juveniles on FM 448; all was okay.

2033 - A complainant reported several RV's had locks that appeared to be damaged at Elm Creek RV Park. Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth responded and a report was taken.

2046 - A complainant reported a neighbor killed a dog and dumped it as his residence on CR 230. Deputy Haman responded and took a report. Deputy Haman will follow up with subject on Monday.

2101 - A caller reported criminal trespassing on CR 103. Deputy Strouth made contact with both parties. Subject was advised not to go onto neighbor's property.

2119 - Sergeant Jones came across a male subject in the roadway on Hwy 290 at CR 233. Subject was okay and given a courtesy ride to Carmine.

2134 - An employee at CEFCO in Lexington reported a male subject kept using the Ladies restroom and was asked several times to leave. Deputy Strouth responded to the scene but the subject had left CEFCO. Subject was then located at the Chevron in Lexington. Subject was arrested and booked into Lee County Jail for public intoxication.

2159 - A complainant reported that a female subject was on a property on FM 141 involved in a physical disturbance with another female at the residence. Sergeant Jones made scene; female subject left prior to Sergeant Jones arrival. Information was gathered from individuals at the scene.

2243 - Sergeant Jones made contact with a Manor PD Officer regarding a runaway from Lee County. Sergeant Jones went to Manor PD to pick up runaway and take her back to residence in Lee County.

 

October 9, 2022

0102 - A caller reported a possible fire at the Oil Pad on Hwy 21. Sergeant Jones responded to the location. It checked out to be a burn off pillar; all was okay.

0804 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 214 close to FM 2239. Deputy Dudley responded and removed the cow from the roadway.

0807 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 696 east of Hwy 77. Deputy Dickerson responded and advised owner was on scene and had removed the cow from the roadway.

0813 - A caller reported loose livestock on CR 114 near Silver Spur Ranch. Sergeant Holloway located 8 head of cattle and was able to run the cattle in a pasture.

0845 - Deputy Dickerson was told by a citizen about cows out on FM 696 west. Deputy Dickerson responded to the location but was unable to find any loose livestock.

1008 - A caller reported cattle out on FM 3403 east of Hwy 77. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded but were unable to locate any loose livestock.

1019 - A caller reported a cow out on Hwy 77 south across from South 40 RV Park. Sergeant Holloway located and secured the cow off the roadway.

1034 - Deputy Dickerson assisted Trooper McCoy with a traffic stop on Hwy 290 in front of The Peanut Mill.

1207 - A caller reported a burglary alarm on FM 448. Caller advised key holder was on his way to meet with officers. Deputies Dudley and Dickerson met with key holder and conducted a perimeter check. No signs of a break in were seen and property was secured.

1555 - A 911 call was received reporting an active disturbance on Terrace Drive in Lexington. Caller advised one female and two males were walking to the park and three subjects attacked them. No weapons reported and other individuals on scene were trying to break them up. Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dudley and Dickerson responded and made contact with all parties involved. Parties were separated and no one wanted to press charges.

1740 - A caller reported cows out on CR 107 and CR 106. Sergeant Jones responded.

1800 - A caller reported an abandoned vehicle on Hwy 77. Deputy Strouth located the unoccupied vehicle. Vehicle was secured off the roadway and red tagged.

1926 - A caller reported cows out on FM 180 near CR 119. Sergeant Jones responded to area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

2149 - A complainant reported somebody was breaking into his business on Hwy 290. Sergeant Jones, Deputy Strouth and Giddings PD responded. A subject was located and arrested for burglary of a building and booked into Lee County Jail.
