August 8, 2022

0708 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 401 ½ mile from Hwy 21. Deputy Strouth checked the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

0841 - A caller reported a cow out on Hwy 21 east of Elm Creek. Sergeant Jones responded and secured the cow off the roadway. Contact was made with owner and he advised fence will be fixed.

0851 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 3403 and Hwy 21. Deputy Strouth responded and secured 2 cows off the roadway.

0932 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 41 between CR 119 and CR 117. Deputy Strouth located and secured the cow off the roadway.

1019 - Sergeant Jones was contacted about cows out on FM 1624 near Fedor.

1511 - Sergeants Jones and Adams, Deputies Strouth and L. Brown responded to CR 312 for an estray.

1743 - A complainant reported items stolen from a storage unit.  Complainant requested deputies take a report.

2005 A caller reported a cow out near CR 117. Deputy Dudley responded and cow went onto property on FM 141.

2045 - A caller reported someone drove through his property fence 2 miles south of Lexington. Caller had no vehicle description. Deputy Dickerson and Trooper Janda responded to the location.

 

August 9, 2022

0504 - A caller reported a stray dog on Mayer Lane. Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded. Dog was taken to city shelter.

0609 - A caller reported a calf out on CR 424 near CR 430. Deputy Strouth responded and checked the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

0908 - Deputy Strouth advised he was out with a subject walking on Hwy 290. After identifying the subject, he was given a courtesy ride to Walmart.

1109 - A caller reported 2 horses in Lexington that did not look well and requested a deputy check on them. Deputy Strouth responded to the property. The property owner is fostering 3 horses and nursing them back to health. They have water, food and proper shade. Deputy Strouth followed up with caller.

1340 - A caller reported 5 head of cattle out on CR 433 near the railroad tracks. Deputy Webber responded and advised the cattle ran off into a heavily wooded area and off the roadway.

1753 - A complainant called and requested to speak with a deputy regarding harassing and threatening messages they are receiving. Deputy Dudley spoke with complainant over the phone; complainant advised they would come later in the evening to give a statement.

1825 - Milam County called to advise 2 vehicles were possibly headed southbound on Hwy 77 and reported subject had been stealing from a property in their county. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley drove the county line but were unable to locate the vehicles matching the description given.

1907 - Deputy Dickerson came across a cow in the roadway on CR 430. Deputy Dickerson secured the cow off the roadway.

2053 - A caller reported a vehicle parked on Hwy 290 at CR 200 and advised a male subject and female subject could be seen arguing; male subject was seen getting out of the vehicle then entered again and left scene headed eastbound on Hwy 290 toward Giddings. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded along with Giddings PD units. No units were able to locate the vehicle.

2120 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 141 near Hwy 21. Deputy Dickerson responded to the area. The cow went in property near CR 428.

 

August 10, 2022

0735 - A caller reported a calf out on FM 141 about 1 mile from Hwy 21. Sergeant McAnally responded to the location but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

0855 - A caller reported cows out on FM 696 east. Captain Allen responded to the location and removed the cows from the roadway.

1121 - A Lee County EMS employee was bit by a dog while on a call the previous night. Sergeant McAnally followed up with him.

1205 - County Clerk's Office called to have two citations posted. Sergeant McAnally responded.

2306 - A caller reported a tree across the roadway on CR 327 just off Hwy 21. Deputy Young located the tree and the Commissioner was notified to remove the tree.

 

August 11, 2022

1145 - Giddings PD asked for assistance with a funeral escort. Sergeant McAnally responded.

1245 - A complainant reported threatening information they received. Sergeant McAnally, Deputies Haman and Webber responded to residence.

1340 - A complainant called regarding his neighbor's cows on his property. Deputy Webber responded to the location. The cows were gone when Deputy Webber arrived.

1530 - A complainant called requesting to speak with a deputy about credit card fraud. Sergeant McAnally spoke with complainant and a report was taken.

1633 - A 911 call was received stating a neighbor pulled a weapon on him when he arrived at their door and told him to leave their property. Deputies Haman and Webber responded to the residence. Everything was okay.

1735 - A 911 call was received advising of an active domestic dispute. The call dropped and dispatch could not get the caller back on the phone. Sergeants McAnally and Adams, and Deputy Haman responded.

1953 - A complainant on CR 111 called regarding a male subject that lives on the property was yelling and screaming and complainant wanted him to leave. Subject was not on the property when Corporal West and Deputy J. Brown arrived. Corporal West and Deputy Brown advised complainant to call back if any problems come up again and process to have subject removed from property.

2040 - A call was received of a male subject going to houses near FM 696 asking for donations on behalf of the Federal Government. A close patrol was requested.

2320 - A 911 call was received reporting a cow on Hwy 21 approximately ½ mile west of Hwy 77. Deputy Young responded, while enroute, another caller advised the cow was near CR 327 on Hwy 21. Cow was moved off the roadway into a field south of Yegua Bridge.

2328 - A caller reported a large bull out on FM 696 near CR 337. Corporal West and Deputy J. Brown responded but were unable to locate any loose livestock.

 

August 12, 2022

0021 - A 911 call was received stating there were 2 cows out on FM 3403 between CR 446 and Hwy 21. Deputies Young and J. Brown responded. Cows were secured and fence fixed.

0138 - A caller reported people breaking into and possibly causing damage to an abandoned house on CR C. Caller gave a description of the vehicles seen at the location. Corporal West and Deputy J. Brown responded. No vehicles matching the descriptions given or any suspicious activity was seen.

0318 - Corporal West and Deputy J. Brown checked out with an abandoned vehicle near CR 106. Dispatch attempted to locate and contact the owner and gave Deputy Brown the emergency contact listed. No answer when contacted so vehicle was picked up by next rotation.

0650 - A caller reported a cow out on Hwy 77 north of Giddings close to 1624. Sergeant Jones responded and secured the cow off the roadway.

0904 - A caller reported 3 cows out on FM 3403 ½ mile off of Hwy 21. Deputy Strouth responded and checked the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

0914 - A caller reported cows out on CR 433 near the train tracks. Deputy Strouth responded and checked the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1110 - Deputy Strouth conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 21 near CR 454. A PC search was conducted and marijuana was recovered. The passenger was taken into custody and transported to Lee County Jail.

1412 - A complainant reported that someone had trespassed on their property on CR 416 just off of CR 412 and bulldozed trees down. Sergeant Jones met with complainant and attempted to make contact with neighbors but no one was home. Sergeant Jones left his business card and a report was taken.

1254 - Deputy Webber conducted a traffic stop on CR 119 near CR 120. The driver had an active warrant out of Harris County. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Lee County Jail.

1830 - A caller reported an unoccupied vehicle blocking the roadway on CR 208. Deputy Dudley responded and the vehicle was towed.

1912 - A caller advised a female subject at South Forty RV Park wants to report a male family member broke her phone and took off in her vehicle. Deputy Dudley responded but female subject did not want to press charges.

2003 - A caller reported a cow on CR 141 near the Lion's Den. Deputy Dudley responded and checked the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

2044 - Several callers reported a cow out on 180 near 119. Deputy Dickerson responded but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

2141 - Deputy Dickerson conducted a traffic stop at the CEFCO. Subject was arrested for possession of marijuana and booked into Lee County Jail.

2155 - A caller reported a male subject driving southbound on FM 448 in the northbound lane and then parked near the railroad tracks. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded but were unable to locate the truck.

 

August 13, 2022

0704 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 180 close to CR 130. Deputy Strouth responded and secured the cow off the roadway.

0806 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 696 west of Sherill Lane. Deputy Strouth located and secured the cow off the roadway.

1123 - Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth assisted with a funeral escort in Lexington.

1345 - A complainant reported 2 horses on their property on CR 305 that do not belong there. Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth met with complainant and then made contact with the owner of the horses. The horses were returned to the owner's.

1546 - A caller requested deputies to come out to a residence on CR 432 for a family disturbance. One female subject left on foot to go to another relative's house. Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth responded and made contact with the homeowner who was okay and did not need medical attention. Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth located the female subject on CR 430. Both parties have been separated.

2040 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 214 about a mile off of FM 448. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded.

2109 - A complainant reported a male subject harassing him in Lexington. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded. Both parties were separated.

2153 - Sergeant Holloway requested shift deputies respond to the trail ride on CR 127 and CR 123 for a report of a juvenile with a gun. All units enroute; no description of the subject known at the time.

2341 - A complainant reported an abandoned vehicle near his property. Deputy Dickerson responded but was unable to locate the vehicle matching the description given.

2345 - A caller reported a vehicle driving around with 2 people in the vehicle. Deputy Dudley patrolled the area but was unable to locate the vehicle matching the description given.

 

August 14, 2022

0345 - A caller reported seeing a vehicle parked on the side of Hwy 21 near CR 402 with a male and female outside of the vehicle. Caller stated it looked like the male was pushing the female. Deputy Dudley responded to the location but the subjects and vehicle were gone.

0711 - A complainant called 911 reporting a female family member arrived at the home intoxicated and causing problems and trying to hit complainant's truck and refusing to let complainant leave. Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth responded to residence on Shady Oaks. Female subject was detained but later released. No damage was done to the vehicle and both parties were separated.

0827 - A complainant on CR 113 requested a CTW on female subject harassing and trespassing on their property. Sergeant Jones met with the complainant and filled out the CTW. Sergeant Jones and Deputy Strouth made an attempt to service the CTW but subject was not at home. Sergeant Jones advised he will make attempts to contact throughout the day.

1054 - A caller reported cows out on the roadway near CR 441. Caller called back and advised the cows were now on his property and wanted them removed. Deputy Strouth responded and made contact with the caller. Unsuccessful attempts were made to find the owner of the cows. The cows are off the roadway for now.

1058 - A caller reported a cow out on Hwy 77 near CR 412. Sergeant Jones checked Hwy 77 from Tanglewood to Milam County line and was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1145 - Sergeant Jones conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 77 near CR 329. The driver was detained and a PC search was conducted. Marijuana was recovered and driver was released due to medical issues. Warrants will be issued at a later date.

1447 - A complainant called 911 to report a male subject had thrown an air pump at complainant's vehicle breaking the windshield. Complainant advised subject was attempting to leave the property. Deputy Strouth responded to Gary Street and made contact with complainant. Male subject had already left the property. A report was taken.

1610 - A call was received of a person needing assistance at Nails Creek State Park. Deputy Strouth and Sergeant Jones responded.

1819 - Deputy Strouth was out with a male subject lying on the side of the road on FM 180 just south of the State Park. Subject is on medicine and was released to his wife.

2008 - Deputy Dudley met with female subject in the Sheriff's Office lobby in regards to a previous call where her phone was broken and vehicle taken by a male subject.

2153 - Deputy Dickerson conducted a traffic stop. Subject was wanted out of Fayette County for failure to appear and possession of a controlled substance. Fayette County confirmed but could not extradite due to jail overcrowding. Subject was arrested for unlawful carry of a firearm and booked into Lee County Jail.
