July 18, 2022

0758 - A complainant contacted the Sheriff's Office to report a vehicle ran through the property fence on CR 118.  Deputies Haman and J. Brown responded and a report was taken.

1224 - Sergeants McAnally and Adams, Deputies Haman and J. Brown assisted with a funeral escort from Burleson County to Giddings Cemetery.

1615 - A complainant came into the Sheriff's Office to file a report of theft. Deputies Haman and J. Brown met with complainant and a report was taken.

2050 - A caller reported cows out on CR 226. Deputy West responded and removed the cows from the roadway.

2135 - A 911 call was received reporting a disturbance at Hilltop Chevron between 2 subjects and 1 had a weapon. Broadcast went out to all units. Giddings PD, Trooper Pennartz and Deputy Young responded. GPD advised call pinged from 290 Travel Plaza not Hilltop. Units checked both locations making contact with cashiers and no one was located. Caller could not be reached upon call back.

2137 - A caller reported a disturbance at her residence. A male subject had kicked the door in and male could be heard yelling in the background. Sergeant Ray and Corporal West responded. Sergeant Ray advised female decline charges and units cleared the residence.

2221 - A 911 call was received requesting civil standby on FM 180. Sergeant Ray, Corporal West and Deputy Young responded. Parties were separated for the evening and remainder of property will be picked up next day.

 

July 19, 2022

0521 - A caller reported several cows on CR 217 between Bullpen and railroad tracks. Sergeant Ray and Deputy Young responded and found the gat had come open and made contact with the owner.

0802 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 619. Sergeant McAnally responded to the area but was unable to locate any loose livestock.

1224 - A complainant came into the Sheriff's Office to file a theft report. Lieutenant Mastronardi met with complainant and took a report.

1805 - A caller requested a civil standby. Sergeant Ray and Deputy Young responded and were on scene.

2150 - A caller reported a calf in the middle of the roadway on Hwy 21 and CR 402. Deputy Young responded but was unable to locate the calf.

2230 - A caller reported animal cruelty to a horse on CR 424. Sergeant Ray responded but was unable locate the property with information given.

2235 - A caller reported her son hit a cow on FM 1624 and CR 326 and he ran off the roadway. Sergeant Ray and Trooper McCoy responded. DPS made a report.

2355 - The Bullpen called in a disturbance in progress. Trooper McCoy, Sergeant Ray, Corporal West and Deputy Young responded. 1 female subject was arrested for public intoxication and was booked into Lee County Jail by Corporal West.

 

July 20, 2022

0300 - Lee County Jail contacted Sergeant Ray reference the female arrested night before. She broke the window in the holding cell and added the charge of criminal mischief.

0728 - A caller reported 3 calves out on FM 141 near CR 119. Deputies L. Brown and Strouth checked the area but were unable to locate any loose livestock.

0753 - A caller reported a male riding a bike down CR 118 and appeared to have a weapon across the handlebars. Lieutenant Mastronardi, Sergeant Jones and Giddings PD responded and located the subject. Subject advised he had been fishing and had a fishing pole across his handlebars.

0800 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 1624. Deputies L. Brown and Strouth located the cow and secured it off the roadway.

0810 - Deputies L. Brown and Strouth attempted civil process. Papers were served without incident.

0943 - Animal Control requested a deputy assist with a dog bite case on CR 121. Sergeant Jones assisted and CLE was used on the dog. Animal Control took possession of the animal.

0950 - Deputies L. Brown and Strouth conducted a warrant service on CR 113. Subject was taken into custody for an active warrant and transported to Lee County Jail.

1724 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 430 near Mendoza Ranch. Deputy Strouth responded.

1745 - A caller reported a truck pulling a trailer pulled over on the side of Hwy 77 north of CR 114. Sergeant Holloway located the vehicle and followed it to Lexington. Vehicle was having engine problems.

1800 - A caller requested to meet with Sergeant Holloway on CR 450 to retrieve cows on FM 141. Sergeant Holloway responded and met with subject.

1939 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 114 at Middle School Road. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded but were unable to locate any loose livestock.

2035 - Deputy Dudley advised the abandoned vehicle that was red-tagged several days ago was still at FM 180 at CR 119. Wrecker was requested and took possession of the vehicle.

 

July 21, 2022

0001 - Deputies Dudley and Dickerson made contact with a male subject walking on Hwy 77 near Lexington Administrative Building. Subject was provided a courtesy ride to Walmart in Giddings.

0317 - A caller reported cows out on FM 180 near CR 131 and CR 132. Deputies Dudley and Dickerson put cows on property near PR 1806 and advised fence was damaged.

0414 - Deputies Dudley and Dickerson made contact with subject needing motorist assist on Hwy 21 and PR 8024. Wrecker was requested by owner of the vehicle.

0742 - A caller reported a young boy riding a 4-wheeler with no safety gear on CR 117 near the Old Wagon Stop. Deputies L. Brown and Strouth responded. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the 4-wheeler.

0806 - A caller requested a deputy on CR 118 to assist with aggressive dogs. Sergeant Jones responded and met with caller and advised of options available.

0000 - A traffic stop was conducted by Deputy Webber that resulted in the arrest of driver for driving while license suspended. Subject was booked into Lee County Jail.

1529 - Deputies L. Brown and Strouth arrested male subject for an outstanding warrant. Subject was booked into Lee County Jail.

1731 - A 911 disturbance call was received from residence on FM 696. Caller stated a family member was trying to force their way into the house. Deputies L. Brown and Strouth responded.

1814 - Sergeant Holloway stopped on Hwy 77 to remove debris from the roadway.

1832 - A call was received reporting theft of equipment on CR 110. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley responded and a report was taken.

1834 - A caller reported a reckless driver going eastbound failing to maintain single lane of traffic. Sergeant Holloway responded to the area but was unable to locate the described vehicle.

1938 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 619 and FM 696. Deputies Dickerson and Dudley respond and removed the cow from the roadway.

2309 - A grass fire was reported on PR 8021. Lincoln Fire, Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dickerson and Dudley, and Trooper McCoy responded.

 

July 22, 2022

0536 - A caller reported a truck accident on Hwy 290 with a trapped subject. EMS, Giddings VFD, Sergeant Holloway, Deputies Dickerson, Dudley and Haman, and La Grange Trooper responded.

1741 - A request for a civil standby was received from FM 180. Corporal West and Deputy Young responded.

2040 - A caller reported an illegal burn in the Shady Oaks Community. Corporal West talked with homeowners and informed them of burn ban. Fire was put out.

2118 - A caller reported an illegal burn on CR 430. Deputy Young responded and spoke with homeowners. The fire was put out and a warning given.

 

July 23, 2022

0040 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 309. Deputy Young responded and removed the cow from the roadway.

0838 - A caller reported a cow on his property on FM 141 that did not belong to him. Deputies Haman and J. Brown made contact with caller.

1025 - A caller requested a CTW. Deputies Haman and J. Brown responded but were unable to get in the gated property. An attempt to reach the owner was unsuccessful. The subject came into the Sheriff's Office and CTW was issued.

1056 - A caller reported a cow on his property on FM 180 that does not belong to him. Deputies Haman and J. Brown spoke with subject.

1222 - Sergeant McAnally came upon a vehicle stopped I the middle turn lane on Hwy 21. The motorist had run out of gas. Sergeant McAnally was able to get the vehicle to the gas station and motorist back on the road.

1322 - A caller reported his wallet was stolen from the community pool area of his residence. Deputies Haman and J. Brown responded and took a report.

1413 - A caller reported a deer carcass partially in the roadway on Hwy 290 close to Jigsaw. Sergeant McAnally located the carcass and removed it from the roadway.

1720 - A caller reported loud music on Cherry Drive. Deputies Haman and J. Brown responded to the area but did not hear any music playing.

1823 - A caller reported a domestic disturbance on CR 125. Corporal West and Deputy West responded to the scene. Corporal West gave a courtesy ride to 2 subject Deputy Young gave 1 subject a courtesy ride.

1840 - Sergeant Ray was conducting a traffic stop at Peterson's in Lexington when return came back with a warrant for the subject. The subject was taken into custody and booked into Lee County Jail.

2100 - A caller reported 3 cows out on FM 180. Deputy Young responded to the location. The Cowboy and Sergeant Jones were contacted to help. Deputy Young found the area where the fence had been knocked down. Deputy Young was able to make some repairs. Land owner was reaching out to subject leasing the property.

2120 - Sergeant Ray and Corporal West gave subjects that had been given courtesy rides the night before another ride to Country Inn.

 

July 24, 2022

0045 - A caller reported 6 cows out on FM 180 near CR 119. Sergeant Ray went enroute.

0151 - A 911 call was received about 3 cows on FM 180 and CR 132. Corporal West responded and put cow up in the pasture.

0255 - Corporal West found a suspicious vehicle on the side of Hwy 141 and Hwy 21. All was current and clear.

0920 - A caller reported cows out on CR 116. Deputies Haman and J. Brown located the cows and removed them from the roadway.

1025 - A caller reported cows out on CR 430 between Hwy 21 and CR 117. Deputies Haman and J. Brown responded and cows were removed from the roadway.

1158 - A caller reported a family disturbance on Hwy 77. Sergeant McAnally, Deputies Haman and J. Brown responded. Parties separated.

1251 - Sergeant McAnally, Deputies Haman and J. Brown assisted Giddings PD with a crash in Taco Bell parking lot.

1538 - Giddings PD requested assistance with a subject fighting on Dallas Street. Deputies Haman and J. Brown responded. All was okay and a CTW was issued.

1756 - A caller advised of an 18-wheeler on Hwy 77 at CR 223 partially blocking the roadway. Sergeant Ray responded and found the vehicle; no one was on scene on arrival. Driver arrived on scene with Govan. Vehicle needed to be jumped off.

1835 - A caller reported 3 cows out on FM 180, same cows from night before. Contact was made with the landowner and he stated he would take them to auction. Deputy Young was going to attempt to fix the fence. The owner of the cows went to the location and fixed the fence.

2023 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 141. Deputy Young responded to the area but was unable to locate any cows out.

2045 - A caller reported a suspicious vehicle at an entrance where no one should be. Deputy Young searched the area but was unable to locate the described vehicle.
