JUNE 27 - JULY 3, 2022

 

June 27, 2022

0930 - A call from Bastrop County regarding a rolling disturbance on Hwy 290 was received. The incident started in Travis County and it was reported a male subject as hitting a female and made her get into a vehicle. Deputy Dickerson checked Hwy 290 and then drove to residence in Giddings where described vehicle was registered. Contact was made with female subject and she advised there was no disturbance and vehicle had been parked all night.  Deputy Dickerson advised all was okay and no repot was taken.

1219 - Dispatch received a call from Washington County regarding a hit on their license plate reader.  Vehicle is registered to a subject wanted out of Harris County. The vehicle was headed westbound on Hwy 290. Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dickerson were dispatched.  They were unable to locate the described vehicle. Information was passed on to Bastrop County.

1231 - A caller on CR 309 reported that his cameras were activated on his property. A description of a vehicle and a male subject were relayed. Sergeant Holloway checked the area but the vehicle was already gone. Caller emailed the pictures of the vehicle and subject to Sergeant Holloway.

1347 - A caller reported a reckless driver forcing people off the roadway and almost hitting the caller. At the time of the call, the vehicle was passing through Carmine heading westbound. Deputy Dickerson checked the area but was unable to locate.

1431 - A complainant came to the Sheriff's Office to report that someone had stolen the license plates off a vehicle the complainant had previously sold. Deputy Dickerson met with the complainant in the lobby and a report was taken.

1451 - The owner of Tex Villas reported that a tenant had vacated one of the apartments and took items that belonged to the owner. Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dickerson met with the owner and the information was taken for a report.

1742 - A caller reported a vehicle parked at an Oil Well and three subjects were seen going into the property and caller stated no one should be on the property. Sergeant Jones, Deputy Strouth and Deputy L. Brown responded and located the vehicle and subjects. Consent to search the vehicle was given. Subjects were released, there was miscommunication between parties.

1809 - A 911 call was received reporting a 2 vehicle accident, air bags were deployed and both vehicles were blocking the roadway. Lee County EMS, Squad 1 and Lincoln VFD were paged to the scene. Sergeant Holloway, Deputy Dickerson and Trooper McCoy also responded.

 

June 28, 2022

0600 - A caller at Pruitt Productions on Hwy 290 reported a male subject covered in a blanket at the business. Deputy Dickerson responded to the location and checked around the building but was unable to locate the subject.  At 0805, the owner called back and advised subject was back. Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dickerson responded and located and talked with subject who stated he was trying to get to Houston. Sergeant Holloway contacted Washington County to let them know he was giving a courtesy ride to their county; subject was released to Brenham PD.

0819 - A 911 call was received advising an 18 wheeler is all over the roadway on Hwy 21, reported that he almost hit a guardrail and almost rolled the vehicle. The 18-wheeler pulled over at Hwy 21 and Walnut Street and got back on the roadway going eastbound. Deputy Dickerson was unable to locate the vehicle fitting the description given. Caller was transferred to Burleson County.

0839 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 209 near FM 2239. Sergeant Holloway checked the area but was unable to locate the cow.

1243 - Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dickerson assisted Giddings PD with a disturbance call at Rolling Oaks.

1718 - A caller advised someone asleep/slumped over in the middle of Hwy 290 east by Rental Solutions. EMS was notified. Sergeant Holloway, Sergeant Jones and Dickerson were on scene. Subject was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance.

1831 - A caller reported a reckless driver going toward Lexington from west FM 696. Deputy Strouth and Deputy L. Brown were unable to locate the vehicle.

1880 - A complainant reported 2 female subjects went to residence and made threats, one subject had a weapon and items were thrown at the house. Deputy Strouth and Deputy L. Brown responded and a report was taken.

2346 - A caller reported a cow out on CR 208. Deputy Strouth and Deputy L. Brown responded and cow was seen jumping a fence into a pasture.

 

June 29, 2022

0922 - A caller reported subjects stealing a Gator on his live camera and subject were seen head down CR 105. Deputy Young responded to the area and located both the SUV involved and the Gator and a pursuit ensued. A male subject drove the Gator into some woods, wrecked out and ran on foot while Deputy Young pursued the female subject who eventually wrecked out in Bastrop County.  Female was taken into custody and booked into Lee County Jail. Male subject was later found by Lee County Sheriff's Office and taken into custody and booked into Lee County Jail.

1259 - ADT reported an alarm on FM 141. Corporal West responded to the scene. All checked out, owners were having issues with the alarm.

1421 - A caller reported a dog in a vehicle on CR 134 but did not see a person anywhere around the vehicle. Corporal West checked the area and located the vehicle with a subject inside leaving the area.

1447 - A caller reported a fire on FM 3403 and a second caller advised it was a camper on fire. Lexington Fire, Dime Box Fire, Lincoln Fire, Lee County EMS, Squad One, Sergeant Ray and Deputy Webber responded. Report was taken.

1945 - A caller reported cows out on Hwy 290 before FM 180. Sergeant McAnally responded to the area and was able to put the cows up.

2135 - A 911 call was received reporting cows out on Hwy 290 and FM 180. Sergeant McAnally responded.

2255 - A 911 call was received from Rolling Oaks stating they had received calls threatening in nature. Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown responded and information taken.

 

June 30, 2022

0015 - GPD received a call from America's Best Value Inn about a disturbance. Sergeant McAnally, Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown were out assisting Giddings PD. GPD advised the subject left the scene headed towards Bastrop County.  After finishing at previous scene, all units headed that direction to attempt to locate. Deputies made it to the County Line and were unable to locate any vehicle matching description given.

0225 - A complainant advised there was footage on a game camera of individuals stealing tires from property on CR 309. Sergeant McAnally, Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown responded and met with complainant. A burglary report was taken.

1041 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 1624. Deputy Young responded to the area but was unable to locate.

1133 - A caller reported a fire on Hwy 290 near CR 205. Giddings VFD was dispatched. Corporal West responded to the scene and issued a burn ban violation.

1800 - A complainant called to report a neighbor threatening them. Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown responded and spoke with both parties involved.

1807 - A 911 call was received from a male subject at Lexington PD wanting to make a report against a female subject that was not letting him in a residence. Sergeant McAnally met with complainant and referred him to JP 3.

1935 - A caller reported a cow out on Hwy 290 near FM 180. Sergeant McAnally responded to the location.

1940 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 141 near CR 116. Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown responded to the area but were unable to locate.

2340 - A 911 call came in but hung up when Dispatch called back screaming could be heard in the background.  Giddings PD is on scene and Sergeant McAnally, Deputy Haman and Deputy J. Brown also responded. Parties were separated and all units cleared scene.

 

July 1, 2022

07:17 - Deputies Strouth and L. Brown met with a complainant regarding subjects criminally trespassing. Deputies met with suspects in the case and a criminal trespass warning was issued.

08:17 - A complainant came to the Sheriff's Office to speak with an officer about being scammed. The complainant stated he received a call saying his PayPal account had been hacked and he needed to place funds into a bitcoin account in Elgin. Deputy Strouth and Deputy L. Brown met with the complainant and a report was taken.

13:45 - A 911 call was received from a female stating she needed help. Deputy Strouth and Deputy L. Brown responded to County Road 331, checked the area and were unable to get any answer at the residence

14:14 - Units attempted to locate a red truck tractor towing a flatbed trailer that had fled a traffic stop in Manor. The vehicle was seen passing other motorists on the shoulder on US 290. The vehicle was lost in traffic and Washington County was notified.

14:45- A call was received of a green truck swerving on FM 112 traveling toward Lexington. Deputy Strouth and Deputy L. Brown responded. The complainant lost sight of the vehicle as it turned onto Rockdale Street. Deputies Strouth and Brown were unable to locate.

16:48 - Deputy Strouth and Deputy L. Brown responded to Rockdale Street for a civil standby as the complainant wished to pick up items from a home

18:52 Deputy Dickerson and Sergeant Holloway responded to a burn ban violation with Lincoln Fire Department on State Highway 21.

19:08 Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dickerson responded to County Road 430 for a report of a person in a vehicle running other drivers off the roadway.

22:55 Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dickerson responded to private road 1806 for a report of subject trespassing. No persons were found to be trespassing on the property.

 

July 2, 2022

01:54 - An alarm was reported on US 77 in Lexington. A back door was found open. The key holder did not answer and a message was left. The door to the building was closed after Deputies cleared the building

8:00 - Three head of cattle were reported out on FM 696. Deputy L. Brown and Deputy Strouth responded and removed the cattle from the roadway.

11:30 - Multiple 911 calls were received from FM 112. Deputy Brown and Deputy Strouth went to the location and made contact with different homes in the area and none reported calling 911. One home owner called back stated an old phone thrown in the garbage was making the calls and the batter was removed.

12:20 - Sergeant Jones visited with a complainant regarding her vehicle being struck by an object as a tractor mowing the ROW on US 290

15:03 - Sergeant Jones responded to a two vehicle traffic crash at Seventh and Rockdale in Lexington.

16:15 - A caller off County Road 451 reported a female destroying property around his residence. Deputies Strouth, L. Brown, and Sergeant Jones responded and the parties were separated.

20:02 - Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dickerson responded to a traffic crash on County Road 239. DPS worked the crash and the driver was arrested for DWI

20:18 - A call was received of a female subject harassing a person on FM 141. Deputies were unable to respond due to being on a priority call. The complainant stated he would come to the Sheriff's office the next day to make a report.

22:36 - A caller reported a small car on Hwy 77 a couple of miles before Hwy 21 that looked like an accident. Sergeant Holloway and Deputy Dickerson responded to the area and the vehicle had hit a deer and vehicle will be picked up tomorrow.

  

July 3, 2022

0814 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 180 between CR 119 and CR 130. Deputies Strouth and L. Brown checked the area but were unable to locate any loose livestock.

1040 - A complainant arrived at the Sheriff's Office asking to meet with a deputy regarding a CTW. Deputies Strouth and L. Brown met with complainant. A CTW was issued and an attempt to serve was made, no contact at this time.

1311 - A 911 call was received from a female subject asking for police to respond to Kay Street. A male subject could be heard in the background. Call was disconnected and subject could not be reached. Sergeant Jones, Deputies Strouth and L. Brown responded to the scene. Giddings PD Officers Nickel and Holland also assisted. EMS was not needed and no one wanted to cooperate with law enforcement. Male subject was taken into custody for resisting arrest and was transported to Lee County Jail.

1455 - A 911 call was received reporting a rollover on FM 141 across from the Lions Dens. Lee County EMS and Giddings VFC were paged out. Sergeant Jones and Trooper Pennartz responded. 

1714 - A caller reported a cow out on FM 180 south of CR 119. Sergeant Jones located and secured the cow off the roadway.

1745 - Sergeant Holloway red-tagged an abandoned vehicle located near FM 141.
