Lee County, the City of Giddings, and the City of Lexington are hosting a mobile drive through COVID-19 testing site. This is a collaborative initiative between the Texas Department of State Health Services, Texas Division of Emergency Management, the Texas Military Department, Emergency Medical Task Force, and the Hospital Preparedness Program Healthcare Coalitions.

The testing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29th between the hours of 9:00AM and 5:00PM at the Giddings Public Library parking lot at 276 N. Orange Street (FM 141) in Giddings. Testing will be done by the Texas Military Department. The number of tests that can be administered will be limited. This test is offered to any individual and specifically includes testing for First Responders.

Tests will be conducted by appointment only. To qualify for the testing, individuals will be screened to see if they have any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever and/or Chills
  • Cough (Dry or Productive)
  • Fatigue
  • Body aches/Muscle or Joint Pain
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Sore Throat
  • Headaches
  • Nausea/Vomiting/Diarrhea
  • Nasal Congestion
  • Loss of Taste and/or Smell
