Two suspects involved in the December 13th early morning burglaries at the Dime Box School and the Jet Wash have been arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office. Amber Flowers of Bastrop has been charged with four felonies which include two counts of burglary, one count of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, and one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Daniel Zuniga of Smithville has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft. A majority of the property stolen from the school has since been recovered. The Sheriff's Office has reason to believe that Flowers and Zuniga also participated in stealing packages and letters from mailboxes in the Dime Box area in other portions of Lee County. More charges may be pending against Flowers and Zuniga following further investigation. If you have reason to believe that you are missing packages or were issued checks but never received them, please contact Deputy Mastronardi at the Lee County Sheriff's Office. Holidays are especially infamous for package and mail theft, so be sure to report all suspicious activity to law enforcement.
