4/8/2024

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 290 West. A vehicle search was conducted, and marihuana was located. The driver was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Complainant from CR 226 reported fence damage. Deputy responded to investigate and report.

Sheriff and Deputies assisted GPD with traffic control due to heavy eclipse traffic on Hwy 290.

Complainant requested to speak with a Deputy regarding phone harassment. Report taken.

While on patrol, Deputy located a black F150 with a male asleep with an open container. The driver was found to have an out-of-county warrant. Subject arrested and secured in Lee County Jail.

Deputies responded to an address on CR 424 to assist LCEMS with a medical call which resulted in an inquest. JP2 was called to the scene.

Deputies and LCEMS responded to a residence on SH 21 for a crisis intervention. Subject transported for treatment.

 

4/9/2024

Deputies assisted GPD with eclipse traffic on Hwy 290.

Deputies responded to Westwood Lane for a noise complaint.

Dispatch received report of a verbal disturbance at a residence on FM 696. Deputies and LPD separated the parties.

Caller reported there was a vehicle with lights off in their neighbor's driveway. Deputies responded but the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Deputies responded to convenience store on E. Austin St. to assist GPD with multiple juveniles.

 

4/10/2024

Complainant from CR 233 reported a vehicle crashed through his fence. Sergeant located the vehicle, and a report was taken.

Deputy took report of a stolen firearm and an a/c unit from a residence on FM 141.

Deputy assisted DPS with a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle on Hwy 290 West.

Complainant from CR 105 reported fence damage. Deputy responded to investigate and report.

 

4/11/2024

Caller reported that a female picked him up in Austin and drove him to her house on CR 430. Caller stated that the female became aggressive and called her family members over. Deputy located the individual and provided a courtesy ride to the truck stop.

Deputies responded to SH 21 for a report of a male subject laying in the ditch with a blanket over his head. Deputies located the individual who was trying to get to Bryan. Deputy provided a courtesy ride to the county line.

Deputies performed a requested welfare check on CR 450. The individual was located and was fine.

Deputy assisted GPD with translation at a convenience store on E. Austin St.

SO Washington County transferred information of a stolen trailer westbound on Hwy 290 toward Lee County. Deputies, Troopers, Constable Pct. 2, and GPD located the vehicle in question. After further investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail. The stolen trailer was recovered.

Complainant from N. County Line Rd reported signs being stolen. Deputy responded to investigate.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 290 West. Caller reported the vehicle was failing to maintain a single lane and was speeding up and slowing down. Deputy located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested and secured into Lee County Jail.

Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a one vehicle crash on CR 217. Deputies, Trooper, Constable Pct. 2, LCEMS, and Giddings Fire responded to the scene. JP2 was called to the scene to hold an inquest due to the fatality crash.

 

4/12/2024

Sheriff and Constable Pct. 2 responded to CR 223 for a loose horse that was running toward Hwy 77. Owner was identified and the horse was returned.

Deputy met with a complainant at the office for a theft report.

Deputies and LCEMS responded to a residence on Caldwell St. in Lexington for a medical call. The Justice of the Peace was summoned to hold an inquest.

Caller reported a noise complaint on CR 309. Deputy responded and located the source.

 

4/13/2024

Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on FM 448 at CR 213. Deputy and Trooper responded.

Caller reported he had a permit to move a house, which had become stuck in the "S" curve in Dime Box. Deputies responded to assist with traffic control.

Motorist reported a vehicle vs. golf cart crash on FM 141. Deputies, Trooper, LCEMS, and GVFD responded to the scene. The injured party was transported for treatment.

Deputy assisted LPD with a traffic stop in Lexington. One male subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Complainant from CR 107 reported there is a trail ride, and a male subject pulled a knife and was threatening others. Deputies responded to the scene to investigate. The suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle prior to arrival. Report taken and arrest warrant pending.

Complainant from Westwood Lane reported an assault. Deputies responded to investigate and report.

Caller requested a welfare check on a family member at Gary St. The individual was located, and a male subject was arrested for assault family violence and transported to Lee County Jail.

SO Washington County reported a pursuit on Hwy 290 headed toward Lee County. Deputies and Troopers responded to the area, however the suspect vehicle crashed out in Burton.

Deputy responded to a disturbance on Trail Side Dr. Information taken for report.

Caller reported a juvenile came home intoxicated and was being aggressive. Deputies responded to CR 316 along with LCEMS. Juvenile transported for treatment.

Caller reported a fight involving 20-30 people at Westwood Lane. Deputies, GPD, and Troopers responded but the individuals had dispersed prior to arrival. The parties that were involved refused to cooperate in the investigation. Peace restored.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance at a residence on Kay St. Parties separated.

Caller reported she was at a dance on CR 425 and their vehicle was struck by a white Dodge pickup truck. Deputies responded to investigate and gather video footage of the event.

 

4/14/2024

Deputies assisted with traffic control on FM 1624/CR 309 for Church event.

Deputies responded to a civil matter disturbance at Westwood Lane.

Deputies responded to another disturbance on Westwood Lane.

Complainant reported a physical disturbance on FM 3403. Deputies and LPD responded to the scene along with LCEMS. One male subject was arrested for assault family violence and transported to Lee County Jail.

Complainant from CR 132 reported that he was threatened so he pulled a knife on the subject. Deputies responded to the scene but the subject causing the disturbance was gone upon arrival. Information taken for report.
