04/01/2024 

Deputy took a theft report at a residence on Hwy 77 N.

Commissioner reported an abandoned vehicle on CR 133. Deputy located the owner who had a wrecker remove the vehicle as road work was going on.

Deputy responded to PR 2052 for a report of damaged fence.

Caller from CR 327 reported fraud where she received a phone call demanding payment on an account that she never had.

Sergeant responded to CR 314 on a report of a stolen ATV. Theft report taken.

Deputy went out to 1500 Block CR 226 for mailbox damage.

Deputies responded to an inquest on CR 309.

Caller from CR 417 reported scam involving her bank account.

 

04/02/2024

Panic alarm set off at District Clerk's office. All units responded. False alarm.

Motorist reported minor one vehicle crash Hwy 290 W. Sergeant, Trooper, LCEMS, and Giddings Fire responded to the scene. DPS made crash report.

Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a female was accidentally run over on private property. Deputies, CID Investigators, Lexington PD, LCEMS, and Lexington Fire responded. Patient was flown out by helicopter.

SO Milam Co reported an active pursuit on Hwy 77 coming into Lee County at 1:00am. Deputies responded to assist. The suspect vehicle stopped prior to the Deputy's spike strips in the 6200 Block Hwy 77 N. Suspect was taken into custody by MCSO.

 

04/03/2024

Sergeant responded to a residence on FM 180 to assist a citizen with an identity theft report.

Sheriff, CID Investigators, and Deputies responded to assist GPD with a shooting incident on N. Titus St.

Deputy and Lexington PD responded to a one vehicle crash on Rockdale St. Lexington Fire and LCEMS assisted at the scene.

Deputy responded to a juvenile matter on CR 430. Matter resolved.

Deputy responded to a store in Old Dime Box after an employee located a lost bag. Deputy was able to locate the owner and return the items.

Deputies responded to Gary St. for a crisis intervention call.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 290 W for a violation. Upon further investigation, a stolen firearm was located along with marihuana. The suspect was arrested and taken to Lee County Jail.

 

04/04/2024

Deputy responded to Westwood Ln. for animal cruelty investigation.

Deputies assisted with funeral escort in Lexington.

Motorist reported two vehicle crash on CR 118. Trooper, GVFD, and LCEMS responded to the scene.

Caller from Shady Oaks reported a male subject was intoxicated and threatening others with a handgun. Deputies made the scene, and the male suspect was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail for terroristic threat.

Sergeant assisted with vehicle unlock at a gas station on E. Austin St.

 

04/05/2024

Sheriff and Deputies assisted GPD and GVFD with escort for Lady Buffs Soccer team.

Dispatch received a 911 transfer reporting a disturbance on Hwy 290 W. Deputies, Troopers, and Pct. 2 Constable responded to the scene. No offense committed; parties separated.

Caller reported a female walking on CR 309 going thru mailboxes. Sergeant responded to patrol the area, but the female was gone upon arrival.

School Resource Deputy investigated an assault.

Sergeant conducted welfare check on students who had not been at school. Contact was made.

Caller reported a verbal disturbance at a residence on CR 103. Deputies and Trooper responded. No offense, parties separated after a civil stand-by.

Caller reported oil field trucks speeding on CR 130. Sergeant responded to the area.

Deputy assisted wrecker with traffic control for a semi-truck on SH 21 W.

Deputies assisted GPD with a major crash on E. Austin St.

Caller reported a white van stopping in front of a residence and taking photos. Deputy responded to investigate the suspicious activity; however the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Deputy made a traffic stop on SH 21/FM 3404 at 3:00am. The driver was arrested after DWI investigation and transported to Lee County Jail.

Dispatch received a 911 hang-up call from a residence on PR 7016. Deputies responded to the scene. After an assault investigation, one male suspect was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

 

04/06/2024

Deputy and Trooper responded to SH 21 to assist a motorist who reported a busted window.

Deputies responded to PR 7012 for a crisis intervention.

Caller reported loud music on CR 217. Deputy responded to the source and spoke with the owner.

Caller reported a noise disturbance on CR 118. Deputy responded to the source and spoke with the owner.

Shortly after midnight, a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 77/CR 327. One female subject was arrested following a DWI investigation. Suspect was transported for a blood draw prior to booking into Lee County Jail.

 

04/07/2024

Deputies assisted with a civil stand-by on PR 7016.

Motorist reported a young child walking barefoot on CR B. The motorist waited with the child until a Deputy arrived. The parents arrived and an investigation was conducted to ensure the welfare of the child. Child returned to parents.

Deputy responded to Deer Valley Rd. to handle a neighbor dispute.

Sergeant responded to Hester St. for a civil matter.

Caller requested law enforcement for a truck in a pasture that crashed into a tractor. Deputy and Trooper responded to investigate.

Deputy responded to CR 113 for a juvenile matter. Child returned to parent.

Motorist reported a rollover crash into the 3800 Block Hwy 77 N with a male driver that was trapped and unresponsive. Deputies, Troopers, LCEMS, and Giddings Fire responded to the scene. GPD and Lincoln Fire assisted with diverting traffic onto SH 21 while the crash was investigated, and the scene was cleaned up.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance on CR 135. No offense.

Caller reported that his gun went off in his vehicle at a gas station in Lexington. Deputy responded to the scene to investigate.

Deputies responded to an address on CR 118 for a crisis intervention.

 

Deputies conducted 55 traffic stops for this reporting period. Sgt. Holloway and Deputies have and will continue to conduct numerous sex offender compliance checks on offenders in Lee County.
