2/26/2024

Complainant called to speak with a Deputy in regard to fraud. Information report taken.

Deputies and Lexington officer responded to residence on CR F for a crisis intervention.

Male subject surrendered himself on a local warrant. Deputy booked him into Jail.

Citizen reported a suspicious male subject in a gray car with stickers on the back glass parked in a driveway. Deputy responded but the male was gone upon arrival. Close patrol in effect.

Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 304. The argument was verbal, and the parties were separated.

 

2/27/2024

Captain assisted motorist who was broken down at the intersection of Main/Independence.

SO Burleson transferred a reckless driver call on SH 21. Deputy located and stopped the vehicle.

Deputy noticed an open car door on Deerwood Dr. Deputy made contact with owner who didn't realize the door was left open.

Male subject surrendered himself on a local warrant. Deputy booked him into Jail.

Sergeant performed a requested welfare check on an elderly individual on FM 141. All okay.

 

2/28/2024

Caller reported missing horse from CR 127. Mare is black/gray in color with brand.

Caller from CR 348 reported a skunk in her greenhouse. Deputy responded to dispatch and buried the animal.

Caller reported a male subject trespassing on PR 1806. Information documented.

Sergeant Investigator took report of bail jumping.

Deputy stopped a suspicious vehicle on CR 430. It was a local that was checking his mail.

Deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock in the Walmart parking lot.

Deputy responded to a requested welfare check on CR F. All okay.

Motorist reported a vehicle smoking on CR 118. Deputy and Giddings Fire toned out. Vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Deputy checked on vehicle parked at Blue VFD. Vehicle secure and unoccupied.

Sheriff provided overnight security at the Lee County Jr. Livestock Show.

 

2/29/2024

Deputy assisted with a civil standby on FM 1697.

Citizen reported a convoy of 35 vehicles blocking the roadway on CR 325. Deputy patrolled the area, but the convoy was gone upon arrival. Deputy spoke with water supply employee in the area who informed the group was conducting geo caching.

Motorist reported a male subject standing on the side of Hwy 290 East. Deputy responded to patrol the area; however, the subject was gone. Deputy checked area businesses and found them to be secure.

Deputies assisted Giddings police officers with a subject who was fleeing. Subject was arrested.

Caller reported a male subject standing near Hwy 290/CR 226. Sergeant responded and made contact with the individual who stated he was trying to get to Austin. Subject refused a courtesy ride to the county line.

Caller reported a male subject standing near Hwy 290/Shady Oaks. Sheriff located and identified the same individual from previous calls. Sergeant provided courtesy ride.

Sheriff provided overnight security at the Lee County Jr. Livestock Show.

Sheriff detained one male subject for reckless driving at the fairgrounds. Driver was educated and released.

 

3/1/2024

Motorist reported an abandoned vehicle on CR 226. Deputy responded to identify the vehicle and attempt to locate the owner. Upon returning to the scene, the vehicle had been removed.

Deputy responded to FM 180/CR 130 to investigate and make report of fence damage.

Sergeant responded to Camp Tejas for a vehicle unlock.

Deputy checked on vehicle abandoned on CR 117 with a flat tire.

Deputy responded to assist Trooper with traffic stop on Hwy 290 West.

Caller reported a male subject riding a white dirt bike on CR 226 who had driven by their property numerous times. Deputy responded but was unable to locate.

Deputy responded to report of animal cruelty on FM 180. Report taken.

Deputy responded to a suspicious male subject at the Dollar General in Lexington who appeared to be intoxicated. Deputy checked the parking lot and interior but did not locate the subject.

Citizen from CR 229 requested for the Deputy patrolling his area to stop by to visit with him. Deputy made location and noted information.

Citizen from CR 226 reported a silver pickup truck driving on a rim. Deputies located the vehicle and identified the driver who had made it home.

Sheriff provided overnight security at the Lee County Jr. Livestock Show.

 

3/2/2024

Deputy on patrol advised dispatch of a busted water line on Hwy 77 near CR 329. Dispatch contacted the water company who was already aware of the issue.

Citizen on CR 216 reported damage to his fence. Deputy responded to investigate and report. The responsible party showed up on scene and the matter was settled between the parties.

Sergeant performed a vehicle unlock on N. Orange St.

Citizen from FM 619 reported a noise disturbance. Deputy responded and made contact with all parties. Matter was resolved by voluntary compliance.

Deputies assisted with traffic control on Hwy 77 North for a trailer that lost two tires and was blocking one lane.

Caller from SH 21 West reported hearing a man yelling and they could see a flashlight at the end of their driveway. The caller also reported hearing the sound of metal on metal. Deputies responded and contacted a male motorist who was experiencing vehicle issues.

 

3/3/2024

Deputy assisted with traffic control at the Church on FM 696 East.

Deputies responded to a report of a roadside disturbance at Hwy 290 West/CR 203. Deputies made contact with the parties and no offense was committed.

Deputy responded to CR 217 to make report of neighbor's dogs attacking the complainant's dog. Report taken.

Citizen from FM 448 reported a suspicious vehicle in their driveway. Deputies responded and noted that the neighbor's lights made it appear to be a vehicle. All okay.

Deputies and Lincoln Fire responded to a one vehicle crash on SH 21. Report taken by LCSO.

Caller from CR 425 reported a man who came to her property earlier. Deputy located the man near the bank in Dime Box. The individual was provided a courtesy ride and voucher for the night.

 

Deputies responded to numerous animal complaints and loose livestock calls. Deputies conducted 114 traffic stops for various violations. Congratulations to all of our Lee County youth on their projects at the Lee County Jr. Livestock Show.
